A King's Story 3: Dark Secrets

Nel looked at Luka then at Cid. "Ciddy-Cider.... Nel dun hab a mum or a dad..."
Kami held onto Alphonse arm. "Do you think Nel is their daughter?" She whisoered to him.

 

Luka looked back at Nel. "Yes you do Nel. Its us. Me and Kotarou, we're your Mummy and Daddy." She smiled, looking slightly hurt.
Alphonse frowned. "I'm not sure. But Nel had that weird attack and told us to bring her here so maybe Nel is?" He whispered back.

 

"But Nel dun remember you pweple..." Nel reached her arms out to Cid, wanting him rather than Luka.
Kami watched them, wondering what would happen.

 

Luka handed Nel over to Cid. She looked like a flower that had wilted. Many of the flowers around them too had started to wilt. "My own child doesn't even remember me...." Luka sighed, walking back to her throne and sitting on it.
Kotarou put his arm around her. "Thats why we can't get our hopes up Luka."

 

Nel hugged Cid. "Nel feels bad. Nel likes de lady but..." She instantly held her head. "Nel's head hwerts!" The castle started to shake.
Kami covered her mouth. "What's happening!?"

 

Alphonse held onto Kami tightly to stop them from falling over.
Kotarou looked up in interest, blinking. "Calm down." He said reassuringly. Suddenly the castle stilled. Kotarou gazed at Nel. "Tell me, can you hear what the forest is saying? Can you hear whispers at your ears?"

 

Nel looked at Kotarou. "All de time. But Nel dun anna listen to wat trwees and dirt hab to says." She still held her head.
Kami felt weird. "So much shaking..."

 

Kotarou tilted his head as if listening to someone. Frowning slightly, he rolled his eyes. "She is from the Earth Kingdom. She says she has no parents." He clicked his fingers and a servant came in. "Its decided. Nel shall stay in the Earth Kingdom til we find out about her background. Find Nel a room please."
The servant bowed and walked out again.
Alphonse hugged Kami. "Are you okay?"

Nel gasped. "But Nel wanna be wit Ciddy-Cider!" She squeezed Cid. "Ciddy-Cider! Dun leave Nel!"
Kami nodded. "Yeah. Just feeling a bit queezy."

Cid smiled slightly at Nel. "Oh Nel, don't worry. I'll visit everyday. If I can, I could stay here."
Kotarou watched Nel and Cid.
"There's no use in trying to argue with Kotarou. Whenever he sets his mind on something, it sticks."

"Don't worry. I'm sure the sickness will go." Alphonse kissed her forehead.

 

Nel kept her hold on Cid. Slowly, she let go. "Nel understand. Nel wubs you, Ciddy-Cider." She gave him a cute, sweet cheek kiss.

Kami smiled at Alphonse. "Thanks." She tilted her head up and kissed him.

 

Cid smiled at Nel and put her down on the floor. "Be nice to Kotarou and Luka. Kotarou has mood swings and often is grumpy but that doesn't mean he isn't a big softy. Luka is nice as far as I know right now."
Kotarou frowned a waved his hand. Instantly vines sprang out, grabbed Cid by his ankles and flipped him upsidedown.
Cid yelled and his glasses fell off.
"Would a big softy do this?" Kotarou asked, smirking.
"Put me down!" Cid crossed his arms, glaring at Kotarou.
"Okay then." Kotarou dropped Cid.

 

"Ciddy-Cider!" Nel quickly controlled the same vines Kotarou had used in order to catch Cid before he fell to the ground. She let out a sigh. "Tank-- Hey wait a minut! How did Nel do dat?!"

 

Cid laid on the vines before sitting up. He looked at Nel, smiling. "Thanks. And how you did that? You probably have Earth Powers."
Kotarou frowned. "No one can control the vines above me except Luka and my daughter."

 

Nel set Cid down and placed the vines back. She turned around to look at Kotarou. "Nel is sawy. Nel just wanted to help Ciddy-Cider."

 

Kotarou rested his head in the palm of his hand, watching Nel. "..... You are my daughter. I can't deny it any longer. I reconisged you the second you stepped into the room. But why can't you reconisge us?" He said calmly.

 

Nel tilted her head to the side. Suddenly, she went into shock again. She stayed with her eyes wide and mouth open for a while before slowly closing them slowly and collasping on the ground.

 

Kotarou jumped up and moved at super fast speed, catching Nel and picking her up. "Wasn't expecting this."

 

Nel awoke a moment later. She opened her eyes and looked at Kotarou. "Daddy?"

 

Kotarou instantly smiled and kissed Nel's forehead. "Yeah, Daddys here."
Luka smiled and ran over, taking Nel from Kotarou and hugging her. "Nel! You remember us!"
