A King's Story 3: Dark Secrets

Opal watched the child intently.

 

It tilted it's head to the side slowly, watching them.
"Are you okay there?" Abee asked.
"Circle You, Circle You...." The child started to sing softly. It's voice was extremely scary.
The hair on the back of Abee's neck stood up on end.

 

Opal got goosebumps as she watched the child like she was memroised, she wanted to turn and escape now but she remained glued to the spot.

 

The child shakily started to swim closer to them. "I'm so happy.... So happy..... Please stay for awhile...." A small smile creapt across it's face.
Abee slowly started to swim backwards.

 

Opal stayed on the spot watching the child, though her head was screaming for her to get out of there.

 

The child swam up to Opal, taking her hand. "Circle You, Circle You...." It started swimming around her, pulling her in a circle.
Abee watched in horror. He didn't want to attack the child but he wanted Opal away from it.

 

Opal watched the child, still not moving, she knew she should get out of there but something kept her there.

 

"Who's behind you, can you guess...?" The child stopped swimming and stopped pulling Opal; her back to Abee.

 

Opal frowned but stayed still and silent, inside she was really scared.

 

The child watched her with its big bloodshot eyes.
"Answer the question Opal...." Abee told her.

 

"A-Abee?" She answered, her whole body was shaking.

 

"Yeah well, lets hope that Ryuk isn't anywhere near him"

 

"Wrong~" The child took her hand again, spinning her around in a circle and singing the song again.

"Who's Ryuk?" Light asked.
Artemis put down Akuji. "Come. We mustn't delay. We'll leave the children here and we'll go out to her orphange."

 

"What now?, totally unprepared?"

 

Opal shut her eyes as she was spun, pure fear growing inside her, she did not know what to do.

 

"I am. Do not worry, I won't leave you at all." Artemis smiled at her.

"Guess again Opal~" The child asked.
Abee started to think. Abee was the wrong name. Maybe one of his other names?

 

She picked up L. "I don't wanna leave him alone though"

 

"Don't worry. Me, Kaiko, Haruhi and Hikaru will look after him and won't leave him alone for a second." Kaoru replied.

 

Opal started to panic, she did not know what to say, she began to breathe fast. Abee was behind her, but Abee was wrong. What else could she call him? "Hushabee?" She said so quietly it was barely audable.
