A King's Story 3: Dark Secrets

Akuji put down Calcifer and started jumping in a circle with him.

"Nel?" Cid looked at her.

 

L continued jumping.

Xyam picked up Calcifer. "you are adorable"

 

"The bad people."

 

"Says the Lady that almost put me out earlier!" Calcifer had small firely arms which he crossed.

"Who're the bad people? The child kidnappers?" Cid asked.

 

Nel started to shake. "Y-Yes..."

 

Cid held her tightly. "Don't worry. You're safe with me. I won't let ANYONE harm you."

 

Nel started to shed tears. "Don't let them take me again."

 

Cid kissed her head. "Over my dead body they will."

 

Nel continued to cry.

They think they're so smart do they? Well see. Giggling came from a tree deep inside the forest.

 

Cid wiped away her tears and kissed her again. "Don't cry Nel...."

 

Nel kissed him back then looked into hiis eyes. I'm in love with you, Cid... I mean it from the bottom of my heart."

 

Cid smiled at her. "Me too Nel..."

 

Nel kissed him again. She felt sleepy. "I'm tired..."

 

"You can sleep on my bed if you want." Cid smiled at her.

 

"Okay." Nel lied down. "Make sure you watch yourself."

 

"Don't worry about me." Cid smiled, stroking her hair again.

 

Nel slowly shut her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Almost time...

 

Cid sat next to her, watching her and smiling.

 

Showtime...
Leaves started to swirl in the corner of the room.

 

Cid frowned, watching the leaves. He held onto Nel tightly.
