A King's Story 3: Dark Secrets

"Ah, so your Mistress is trying to find the secret to immortality!" Cid smirked. "Too bad. Everyone knows that when it was tried before, it didn't work."

Akuji walked along, holding another part of the duvet. "What do Akuji do with dis?"

 

She simply stayed smiling.
Nel woke a little.

 

Lawliet jumped down and pushed several chairs so thy were facing the window. He pointed at them.

 

"Tell your Mistress that she won't be able to find the secret. Its too deeply hidden. She can murder a thousand children to try and find it but she never will." Cid smirked.

Akuji dumped the duvet on the chairs. Running off the find a blanket, she pushed more chairs to make another tent connecting to it.

 

L stood back on the window sill and pulled down the dinosaur fairy lights. He attached them to the chair and across the roof of the tent.

 

"A thousand children you say." She chuckled and snapped her finger.
Nel started to scream again.

Akuji stared at the lights, fasinated.

Cid looked at Nel and back at the shadow. "Stop it! You're hurting her!"

 

Lawliet turned on the switch an the dinos glowed green and yellow. He smiled at them.

 

"Am I now?" Her smile grew as she snapped her fingers again.
Nel's scream grew even louder, Shaking the castle more than before.

 

Akuji watched them, still mesmerised. She suddenly started to space out.

Cid stuck out his palm, creating a fire blast at the girl. "LEAVE NEL ALONE!"

 

Lawliet came and sat next to her.

 

Akuji didn't even notice. She still stared at the lights.

 

She smiled even more, about to snap her fingers again.

 

Lawliet stared at her.

 

"Don't trust him, Kaida." Reese left the room.

 

Cid fired a fire blast at her hand.

Akuji ignored him still.

Kaida ran after him. "REESE! What's wrong with you?!"

 

Hse disappeared before the shot coulld hit her. However, Nel stopped screaming and fell unconcious again.

 

Cid looked at Nel and started to shake her. "Nel! NEL! Wake up!"

 

The woman appeared again, sitting at his desk. "You sure do have a thing for little kids."

 

Cid glared at the girl ."She's NOT a little kid anymore! She's just naive now. When she aged, her mind did too."
