A King's Story 4: Fading Light

"Well the thing is, you see...I'm pregnant. There I've said it." Opal said and watched him, wondering what his reaction will be.

 

Sky blinked before running after Raikou. "Rai! Rai!" He suddenly jumped up in the corridor, sprouting wings and flying after her.

 

"Hey, don't be shy. I'm not going to hurt you" Kaia smiled at her and offered a hand to her.

 

Abee blinked, keeping a blank face. ".........What's 'being pregnant'? Is it an illness?" He asked, tilting his head.

 

Opal blinked a few times, trying to figure out if he was joking, "You don't know?...Abee, do you know where babies come from?"

 

"No because I have no idea what a baby is." Abee kept a straight face, no sign of joking.

 

Opal put her hand to her head, "Ah, this makes life difficult. How am I gonna explain this? So, you've never seen a baby before? I'll guess I'll have to start at the beginning, the only problem being I don't know where that is"

 

"Isn't a baby a tiny, young offspring of a human?" Abee asked. "See, I barely remember much about that topic. I know some stuff from Link's memories and mind and then stuff I was barely taught. And all that was is 'Do not attempt to start a family. Clone babies have never been made before from a clone and we have not got the research to know if this will affect the Mother in anyway'."

 

Raikou turned around and blew a strong force of wind at him. "Leave me alone!"

Kiku took her hand and stood up.

 

Sky easily flew through it. "Listen! I'm sorry!"

 

Opal frowned and looked down, "Yes it is and we might have a problem"

Kaia grinned, "That's better. So, what were you doing out here?"

 

"Oh..... Sorry....." Abee rubbed the back of her neck. "If it's a problem, then I'll learn."

 

"No, it's not your fault, I just didn't know. I'm pregnant which means a baby is going to grow inside my tummy, so my tummy will get very big and then I'll have to push it out of my tummy. At least that's what should happen but since you're a clone I really don't know." Opal sighed.

 

Abee listened to her before looking up as if he was thinking. "......Understood." He smiled. "I'm guessing I'm going to be a father then."

 

"I don't believe you." Raikou shut the door behind her after letting Senkou in. She locked it.

"I'm not sure." Kiku replied.

 

Opal looked at Abee, nodded and smiled, "You're going to be a dad"

Kaia laughed, "Fair enough, I guess. So, how old are you?"

 

"I'm 19.And you?" Kiku asked in return.

 

Kaia laughed, "I'm just 16"

 

"Well don't I feel old." Kiku laughed a little as well.

 

Kaia grinned, "Since when has 19 been old?"
