A King's Story 4: Fading Light

"Eh? Why am I a bat?" Cid asked.

"Sen.....kou...." Sky stood in the doorway of his room, watching Senkou walk past.

"Yeah. I would like to do something about it. But that would mean I would live for 300 years and you only 200, then again me outliving you." Lucas smiled.

 

Nel shrugged. "I had no clue what else to call you."

Senkou paused for a moment, having a strange feeling.

"Would you be okay if I go before you?" Karen asked him.

 

"Vampire Bat I guess." Cid laughed.

Sky smiled. "Hey, Sen.... kou... Why don't we play to....ge....ther.... like we always used.... to... do?" He suddenly smirked, his eyes crimson.

"I'd be very sad. And very lonely." Lucas replied, hugging Karen tighter and nuzzling his head into her.

 

Nel laughed too. "That's true."

"No, thank you." Senkou relpied, continuing his walk.

Karen hugged him as well, not knowing what to say.

 

"Like I said before, I can't change into a bat." Cid sighed.

Sky started walking after him. "Really? Thats so bo.....ring...."

"I want to make you a Nobody. But what if you don't come out right? What if you've forgotten about me? What if you even have changed genders?" Lucas sighed.

 

"I know." Nel smiled at him. "But I can't change into a Chipmunk either."

Senkou tried his best to ignore him, making his way outside.

Karen looked at him. "What if you turned human?"

 

"But you can look like one when you eat chocolate." Cid smiled back.

Sky still followed after him.

"I can't.... Not even if I wanted to.... To be human, you have to have a soul and a heart.... I have no soul. And what my 'heart' is, is just a large crystal keeping me alive." Lucas replied.

 

Nel rolled her eyes. "Fine, fine."

Senkou stopped. "What do you want, Sky?"

Karen sighed.

"Heheheh." Cid smiled.

"To play with you." Sky smiled.

Lucas nodded, shutting his eyes and resting against Karen.

 

"I can't believe you!" she frowned and crossed her arms.

Lawliet walked back to the castle, eating the cakes as he went.

 

"Then don't...... Every Nobody has a Somebody...... A Nobody without one isn't much of one at all...." Kazune looked at her. "Amy. Xyam. It fit so well.... How would you like to be born and then told straight away that you're a weird freak of a Nobody....?"

Near trailed behind him, his face still red.

 

"At least I would have been able to deal with it!, and you shouldn't go around saying stuff just because 'it fits', You kept this from me for 20 years, 20 fuucking years!, and then you have the nerve to make out that i'm nothing!"

 

"Shut up." Kazune scowled, glaring at Xyam. "Maybe Kotarou was right. I don't need anyone. It just leads to problems like these." He clenched his fist, his eyes turning red again.

 

"DON'T EVEN TRY TO BLAME ME FOR THIS!"she stood her ground.

 

"I'm not." Kazune smirked. "Don't you see? Being listed down, written directly in it, I can't even touch you. Verbally, mentally, physically. Either way, it doesn't matter. I didn't lie to you on purpose. I had to. Every Nobody is brought up with a law. I'm just following the rules. You can break and bend any you like."

 

"I don't understand, Explain why you had to lie"

 

"1, Never eat a human heart unless with permisson. 2, Keep your existence low. Only reveal for the sake of others. 3, Never change a human into a Nobody with permission. 4, A Nobody born from Darkness alone must be treated like a Normal Nobody. Including the assumptiation of them having a Somebody before it dying." Kazune recited.

 

"So thats why I had to find out from someone else" She frowned.

 

"I could only say if you knew. Dark isn't a Nobody. So he could tell you and not care." Kazune replied, his eyes changing back to blue.

 

"Well yeah I just had to spend 10 minutes with him"
