A King's Story 4: Fading Light

Kaia laughed, "Well, we're both really decisive, aren't we? I say, lets go where our feet take us"

 

Kiku smiled and nodded. "Great plan."

 

Kaia grinned and did an exagerated mock bow, "Why thank you"

 

Kiku laughted a little and bowed as well. "You are quite welcome."

 

Kaia laughed, "So what happens now?"

 

"We walk." Kiku smiled as she began walking forward.

 

Kaia laughed and walked alongside Kiku, "Fair enough"

 

Kiku smiled more, looking forward.

 

Kaia smiled and skipped slightly as she walked forward.

 

Kiku watched her, slightly confused. "what are you doing?"

 

Miku and Laura looked at Nel. "You.... You know him?!" Laura asked.
Cid nodded. "Of course I know Hailbel."

Alphonse almost fell off his seat. "Please stop doing that....."

Lucas kissed back, smiling.

 

Nel smiled. "We're close friends."

Raikou giggled. "But it's fun!"

Karen kissed him a bit more.

 

Miku and Laura dragged Nel away around the corner. "How do you know the new guy?!"
Cid stood there, watching.

"And it's going to make Daddy have a heart attack soon." Alphonse sighed.

Lucas kissed her neck, smiling. Suddenly he pulled away, holding his head.

 

Nel stook out her hand to them. "Classified."

"What's a heart attack?" Raikou asked.

"Lucas?" Karen was concerned. "Lucas? Are you okay?"

 

"Stop acting like Mikuru Asahina and tell us!" Laura pressed.
Cid laughed slightly, hearing everything.

"When your heart stops for a few seconds from fright or unhealthiness." Alphonse told her. "It's a bad thing to have, some people can die from it."

Lucas shook his head slightly, opening his eyes. Both were purple and his faustation mark on his right eye was gone.

 

Nel rolled her eyes. "I'll tell you guys later. First, I need to speak with him." She walked away from the two, towards Cid, smiling.

Raikou eyes widened as her jaw dropped. "Don't die Daddy!"

Karen pulled away a bit. Shaking her head, she wrapped her arms around him and held him.

 

They both watched them.
Cid smiled at her. "Before you ask, it's not my fault that suddenly the whole Grade 3 female student body like me."

Alphonse hugged her. "I won't die. I'm not gonna go anywhere until you're old and wrinkly! So until then, I promise to play with you everyday."

"My head feels weird...." Lucas mumbled.

 

"It's okay. I understand." Nel kept her smile on. "But maybe we can go somewhere to talk more privately."

Raikou's eyes lit up. "You really mean that?!"

"Maybe you should lie down." Karen suggested.

 

Cid nodded. "The roof? I don't think any people will be up there."

Alphonse nodded. "Even if it means abandoning an important meeting."

Lucas nodded, getting up and heading over to the bed.

 

"Sounds good." Nel said, making her way to the roof.

"What meeting?" Raikou asked.

Karen helped Lucas for the couch to the bed.
