A King's Story 4: Fading Light

L walked onwards, blushing and smiling to himself.

 

Amai looked around. She had never been so close to the castle.

 

L just slouched casually along one of the surrounding walls until he came to a small metal gate.

 

Amai grew really nervous. "A-Are you sure about this?"

 

"Yeah, it'll be fine, there aren't any guards around the gardens" He went to the gate and lifted the latch. The gate swung open, "After you" he blushed a little.

 

Amai smiled slightly and blushed a little as she walked in slowly. "Thank you."

 

He shut the gate quietly behind them an trotted up the path to a stone bench under neath one of the trees.

 

Amai followed him, looking around to make sure they didn't get in trouble.

 

He sat down on it and patted the seat next to him.

 

Amai blushed and sat next to him, playing with her dress.

 

He watched her. "Don't worry, we won't get caught, and if we do we won't get in trouble for it"

 

Cid frowned, moving past them and helping Nel up. "Are you okay?" He asked.

Alphonse laughed.

"He's a Demon. A being of the Darkness?" Lucas replied. "The pact we have prevents him being hurt by our Light."

Akuji watched out from a window at them both. "Lawliets with..... another.... girl...?"

 

Amai nodded and looked around the garden, admiring it's beauty.

Nel nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine."

Raikou laughed too.

"I see." Karen places and hand on his cheek. "I'll do my best."

 

"Charming isn't it?, I like this tree the best, I used to climb it when I was little" he smiled, looking up at the branches.

 

Akuji frowned, glaring at Amai. Blinking, she smirked as she spotted Touta heading towards them.
Touta was stumbling across the gardens, over to Lawliet.

Cid smiled. "Good. I'm glad you're okay."

"Shall we go check on Sky and Mommy?" Alphonse asked.

Lucas smiled. "Thanks."

 

Amai nodded. "I've never seen anything like it."

Nel got up and looked at the crowd, noticing the girls glaring at her.

"Okay!" Raikou raced to his room.

Karen hugged him.

 

Touta stopped behind them both. "Ne, ne, Lawliet? Who's this?" He asked, pointing at Amai.

Cid was completely oblivious. "Are you hurt anywhere?"

Alphonse followed after her quickly.

Sky was stirring slightly.

Lucas hugged back.

 

He nodded then went red and hid his face as he saw Touta approaching them.

He went redder. "Umm, just a friend of mine" he shuffled his feet around.

 

"Rweally?" Touta's face lit up. "'Dis is the first commoner friend you have apart from Near, Mello and Matt!"

 

Nel shook her head. "No, I'm fine."

Raikou made it to the room.

Kami was still asleep.

Karen kissed his cheek.

Amai blushed as well, not saying anything.
