A King's Story 4: Fading Light

Karen kept her eyes closed, not wanting to see them.

"Are you okay?" Nel grew concerned.

Raikou smiled and got up, stating to focus.

 

"Am I really that scary?" The man asked. He was sitting right in front of Karen, face close to hers. "Look, we're not going to hurt you at all. Just keep you here for awhile."

"You've hurt my feelings..... Unlike other Vampires, I hate being called scary....." Cid whined, looking away from her.

Alphonse sat there, watching her.

 

Karen felt the tears build up in her eyes. Help me, Lucas...

Nel frowned then hugged him. "I'm sorry."

Raikou tired her best to release her emotions.

 

"Hey now, dont cry. Like I said, we won't hurt you." The man wiped away her tears. "Lets start with the formalities. My name is Kayira. But everyone else calls me Lolipop."

Cid smirked. "Gotcha." He held onto her, tickling her.

Alphonse sighed.

Matsu patted daddy on the head.

 

Karen stopped her tear but kept her eyes closed. She attempted to get her arm free, wanting to protect her baby.

Nel stated laughing. "Hey! No fair!"

Raikou kept trying but nothing happened. She then gave up.

 

"Awh, you look after her. I'm off."
"Us too. See you."
".... They're gone. We can speak freely now." Lolipop put a hand on her baby bump. "Its kicking. Must be fighting to protect you. How long have you been pregnant?"

Cid laughed too, hugging her.

"I guess thats another thing you can't do." Alphonse hugged her.

 

Karen was slightly frozen at his touch. She took in a small breath. "4 months in a few days."

Nel hugged him back. "I love you, Cid."\

Raikou sighed. "Oh well then."

 

"So you'll be expecting soon." Lolipop paused. "Please open your eyes. I'm more familiar then you think."

"I love you too Nel." Cid smiled.

"You cant know everything."

 

Karen was still frightened but opened her eyes slowly.

Nel kissed him softly.

"I know that." Raikou sat down. "It'd just be nice to know."

 

In front of her sat Lolipop. He had ginger hair that spiked back and some covered his face. Though his face, apart from his eye colour looked the exact same as Lucas'. And sure enough, he had a lolipop in his mouth. "Yo."

Cid kissed back, happy.

Alphonse smiled. "Yeah."

 

Karen blushed slightly as she always had when she saw Lucas' face. To calm her blushing, she looked around the room.

Nel pulled away, smiling. "I guess our break is over now."

Raikou yawned.
"I guess it's your nap time." Kami picked her up.
"But I'm not tired." Raikou said as she fell asleep.

 

Lolipop grinned at Karen's blushing. "Told you I look familiar." He took the lolipop from his mouth, holding it between his thumb and index finger. "And I think you like this face. Nobodies are so fasinating. Well, you're a hybrid so thats even more so."

"Yeah." Cid smiled.

Alphonse smiled at Rai.

 

Karen turned back to him. "What make me so fasinating?"

"Back to Math?" Nel asked.

Kami carried her to her room.

 

Lolipop leaned his face in close to hers. "I generally find things different to my species intresting. And the fact you're wondering why your butler came in here yet didnt rescue you."

"I thought you hated it."

 

Karen started turning red, pulling her face away from his. He was right though. She did find it odd that Darren hadn't saved her.

"I do. But I must learn it." Nel smiled. "Plus I have the best teacher in the world."

 

"Its because he can't see us. We're not in that world anymore." Lolipop grinned.

Cid blushed. "Can't argue with that..."

 

Karen looked him in the eyes. "Where are we then?"

Nel nodded."But of course."

 

"We're in a plane that resides slightly higher to your world that I call the Underground. Because of that, we can look upon your world and see everything around but not visa versa. So if your husband sends any search parties, they couldnt find us even if they were standing right next to us." Lolipop explained.

Cid stood up. "C'mon then."
