A King's Story: High in the Skies

Mei smiled. Yes, I was indeed speaking to you. I saw you on that raft and thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Mei Kenori. Very nice to meet you. She stook out her hand.

 

Opal was taken aback by how formal this girl was, she blinked a few times before regaining her composure and shaking her hand. Who was this girl? Was she royalty or something? "Oh, I'm Opal. Nice to meet you too?"

Mei was happy to meet someone. So are you new to town Opal?

Kazune broke away and looked at his wardrobe. "You know... I think i'll only need afew changes of underwear and about one or two more outfits."

Alphonose stared at Kami. Putting up his hand, he fanned it out to show his way of smiling.

 

Kami smiled at Alphonose. Ican never part from you Alphonose...

 

Alphonose tilted his head to the side. "Why not."

 

Kami blushed, knowning that now was the moment to tell her true feelings. She drew a deep breath and gazed into Alphonose's eyes. Because I am in love with you, Alphonose...

 

Alphonose blinked. He looked back at Kaida and then back at Kami.
Kaida smiled slightly. "You have no idea what that is, do you Alphonose?"
Alphonose shook his head.

 

Kami sighed and smiled at Alphonose. It is quite alright if you do not understand. I just want you back home. And I will do anything to get you back.

 

"Yeah, I'm kinda on the move at the moment, I got kicked out of my old home." Opal sighed and looked down. Her hand moved to a small silver bottle on her belt, and she rubbed it without realising it.

 

Alphonose watched her. He wanted to be with her but now he was with people who was called 'family'. "Home..." Sadness appeared in his eyes. "H-Home...." He burst out crying.

 

Mei looked at her curiously. Is there anyway I could help you?

Kami felt her eyes begin to water at thesight of Alphonose. She was completely unable to say a thing.

 

Opal smiled, "Really? Oh thank you, but all I really need is a cheap place to stay and a way to get money. This fresh start thing isn't as easy as it sounds. Is there anything I can do for you?" Opal looked into Mei's eyes, trying to figure the girl out.

 

Alphonose continued to cry, dropping to the floor.
Sapphira ran over to him and hugged him. "Big brother...."
"But of course, he'll stop crying soon." Cid's voiced echoed around. Walking in the room, he stood next to Kami.
Kaida's eyes widened. "You're Dr Cid! Alphonose is scared to death of you!"
"On the contrary, Alphonose!"
Alphonose stopped crying and looked up at him. "M-Mentor..."
"Hand it over. NOW."
Alphonose blinked and went unconcious.
A red Alphonose stood up and miserably walked over to Cid, changing into a crystal.

 

Mei smirked. You surely are forwarded about what you want. But I willbe glad to help you. She thought for a moment.

Kami looked at the red Alphonose back to Alphonose. She then quickly grabbed the crystal and moved away from Cid.

 

Cid looked at Kami. "Oh? You WANT Chimera to have emotions? Pfft." He took out another red crystal. "Be a nice little girl and hand it over. Or do you want me to make him take it back." He rolled the crystal between his fingers.
Sapphira stared at him. "You stop hurting big brother!"

 

Opal listened to Mei, and looked down, a bit embarassed, "Oh yeah, sorry. Um anyway, you are amazing, thank you so much. Is there anything I can do for you?" Opal looked back up to Mei eagerly, she already liked this girl.

 

Kami glared at Cid.You leave Alphonose alone. Or you can be sure that you will never see the light of day again. She held the crystal tightly in her hand.

Mei giggled. How about joining me for some lunch? I will pay.

 

"You should be thanking me. I am the one who brought him to you in the first place." Cid threw the crystal at Alphonose which went into his body.
Sapphira looked up at Alphonose. "Big brother.....?"
A dark chuckle came from Alphonose. Sitting up properly, he stood up and opened his eyes. They were full of hate and rage. "Hand it over Kami." He smirked, holding out his hand. "I wouldn't want to take drastic measures on my 'dearest'!"

 

Kami frowned. Fight me if you must, but I will not fight you back.
