A King's Story: High in the Skies

Kami paused andcreated a lightening barrier around her and Cid. She placed her hands on her katana. Leave Alphonose alone.

Opal laughed, she tilted her head, "So, what's your story? Do you live here?" She wanted to make sense of her new friend.

 

Cid watched her and then put the crystal away.
Love disappeared.
"I'd rather not." He clicked his fingers and started to disappear. "Little Princess, Alphonose is nothing more then my experiment." Cid disappeared.
Alphonose smirked and waved, he disappearing too.

 

Mei smiled. Yes I do live here. And you?

Kami feel to her knees. She stared in front of her, blankly.

 

Kaida looked at Kami as the barrier left. "You're the Electricity Princess. Tell me, WHY did you take away Alphonose in the first place?!" She asked.

 

Kami continued to looks blankly. I did not...

 

"Well..." She looked down at the table "I origionally lived in the water kingdom, until...my parents ... disappeared. I left before it, you know, sank. I was taken in by a kind family until I was 16. I'm 16 now and well, here I am" Opal took a deep breath, she didn't like talking about her past, but it felt good to tell someone. Anyway, she felt like she could trust Mei.

 

"You're the head of this all. You give orders, no one else. Of course you must have!" Kaida shouted.
Sapphira put her hand over Kaida's mouth. Walking over to Kami, she sat next to her. "You know? I was born before Alphonose. He's meant to be my little brother."

 

Mei looked at her, concern on her face. I apologize for your loss. She placed her handon top of Opal's. I know it must be hard. But there's a great big world out there and you should not letyour past eat you up inside. She smiled.

Kami looked at Sapphira. Really?

 

Sapphira nodded. "I was 4 when he was born. I'm 8 now." She smiled. "Why is that man hurting big brother?"

 

"No, no, no, I'm fine. I can deal with it, I just want to make a fresh start, but that's not that easy. Anyway, I'm more interested in you. What's your story? I just want to take my mind off it." She laughed, she was glad there was more to Mei than just the formal person who had greeted her.

 

"Yeah" she said. She crammed serveral shirts into a bag along with a few trousers and underwear.

 

Kazune did the same too and then stood up. "Right, food and then we'll get going." He started to walk back to the kitchens.

 

She nodded and slung her bag over shoulder.

 

Kami just looked at her and slowly turned away. I wish I knew.

Mei smiled. Well there is not much to say really. I grew up in a wealthy family. But I ran away one day because I was unhappy. I joined the army ans here I am.

 

Kazune went into the kitchen and looked around. "......" He looked at Xyam. "Maybe you should pack this part...."

"Well you're a Princess right? You can have him arrested!" Sapphira said, frowning.

 

She looked at him. "What part?"

 

"Food. Knowing me, i'll just bring along sweets." Kazune said, sitting on a chair.

 

"Nothing wrong with sweets, except cake" she said.

 

"Yeah, but its still a bad idea to let me pack this." Kazune said.
