A King's Story: High in the Skies

Alphonose tilted his head to the side. "Are you sick?"

Kotarou rolled his eyes and set off too. Jumping up, dark wings appeared from his back and he flew back to the Earth Kingdom.

 

Kami shook her head. I am fine Alphonose. She smiled at him.

 

Alphonose smiled back and let go of her head.

 

Kami sighed in relief. Well now that that is settled...we need to think about the future and what is going to happen.

 

"Um... What do you mean by that?" Alphonose asked.

 

Kami looked up to the sky. I am talking about the upcoming war.

 

Alphonose blinked. "A war...? I know my parents... well, for about 10 mintues but I know that they wouldn't start one."

 

Opal grinned as she arrived back in the water kingdom. Home at last. She slowed down and navigated deeper into her homeland, simply enjoying it and taking her time. She wondered where her old friends were now an how they'd react to her return. She'd left them in a hurry last time she saw them.

 

Suddenly a groan came from one of the fields next to Opal. "Still far from big wet... FAR, FAR..."

 

Opal span round to look where the sound had come from. Curious, she moved her hands to stop the water under her raft and push her to the side. She lept of the raft elegantly and walked towards the voice. "Hello?"

 

A boy looked up from the long grass. He was attached to poles like a scarecrow would be. "You go to big wet?" He asked.

 

Opal saw the boy and her eyes widened, "Big wet? Do you mean the ocean? Anyway are you okay? Why are you tied up like that?" She walked over to the boy wanting to help him.

 

The boy watched her, looking down at her as she stood under him. "I don't know."

 

Kami's head went down. Yes I know your parents would not have started this. They are truely kind.

 

Alphonose nodded, smiling.

 

Kami smiled back slightly. I do not know what I am going to do now. She looked towards Kaida. I mean with us being enemies and all.

 

Kaida blinked. "Enemies? How are you and me enemies?" She suddenly relised. "Oh yeah. The alliances."
Alphonose sighed.
Hate went back into Alphonose.
Alphonose frowned. "If we're enemies then why can't we just become friends? Or not attack eachother if the sides go to war?"

 

Kami sighed and looked to Alphonose. I wish it were that simple. I would love nothing more then to be friends.

 

"You're in charge though." Alphonose said, crossing his arms.

 

Kami looked at him. True, very true. She thought for a moment.
