A Life to Lead ^_^

Tifa watched him, then rubbed her arms, thinking. "I do want them provided for, but....." she struggled to find the words, wishing she was just back at home with the kids. "Demyx, that's very helpful. Xion is a little...preoccupied at the moment." She smiled slightly, glancing at the girl. "The future is a very busy place." She let her arms fall, then sighed. "If we were to get technical, then it was Sephiroth who killed my father. Shinra didn't take over until we were in Avalanche. Cloud...." she didn't know how to say this without angering him again. She needed to depend on herself to survive. Trusting others was fine, but she couldnt just rely on them. Last time...."I asked Shinra to give me time to consider it." she murmured, still watching Cloud. "I have as much as I need to consider the option."

 

Cloud looked away upset that she had brought up such a painful memory. "If you decide to join him, then he will use you against me and therefore you will lose everything that you had with me, including our close friendship. Now are you willing to sacrifice that for someone that you detest?" He had to ask such a question knowing if he could trust her or not.

Demyx felt bad that Cloud seemed to be losing his close childhood friend. It wasn't fair or right that the leader of the turks would do such a thing and claim it to be a good thing. "Well why did you hestiatate? Do you think I can't live up to my word, or is because you're sterotyping me because I'm a member of Organization and we are supposely evil according to the Turks. Well Cloud can tell me stories about them and we'll see who really is evil? Us nobodies are misunderstood and no one can relate unless they feel the same way. Don't you see? Cloud feels like you're turning against him because he's friends with me and so what. You are supposely going to be Xion's new mother and she used to part of the organization, but you don't hold that aganist her. I want to know your reason why you want to join Cloud's enemy at the moment, besides money and protection. It's because I work for Xemnas isn't it and my destructive element isn't ?"

 

Leon nodded to Cloud as he listened to the conversations as well. He hoped that Tifa wasn't going to buy into the lies of the Turk. He would support Cloud towards the end of the time if he had to.



Roxas glared daggers at the Gambler of the Fate though through that anger he had an skeptical expression breeched on his features. "What the hell is a wanker?" His keyblade was out, but the keyblade wielder wasn't going to fight someone who could in fact freeze time if he wished to do so. Not to mention his card skills were minor and he knows how Luxord played with his victims.


Axel sighed as he couldn't take anymore of this drama that was switching back and forth between the two humans and then Demyx was intereferring as well. Just like they were best friends. It was strange because Cloud and the sitar player hardly knew each other. Axel knew Demyx better than anyone. Either way he might as well use his technique to draw out the the sides. He began casually walking over to them. "Come on it is a set up. Don't give in to manipulation that is exactly what the leader of the Turks wants. He uses your weakness and then confides in you and thus once you are not needed anymore, you are tossed out of the circle and into the wolves. Deception and trust is a great game if you know how to play it right." The flurry warned, hopefully after this the humans would understand his preceptive over things.

 

For a moment, Xemnas let his eyes drop from the hand-made moon, the only thing that truly mattered to him. His eyes fixed themselves upon the figure of Saix. The lunar divine, the one he could trust without question. Now, he needed him more than ever.

"Saix" he commanded

"I have an assignment for you. Find Demyx and watch him closely. Ensure he is performing the action that he was told to do. That boy cannot be trusted, not yet. His words have tricked me before. It would be in all of our interests if he is... encouraged to stay on the straight and narrow. Do you understand?"

 

Saix seemed to come a little bit closer as he stepped out of the shadows and into the light. "Yes, Xenmas, I will watch him carefully. But what about Axel?" He asked. The flurry seem more skeptical to him, but he wasn't sure if he could trust him either. Still he had to give Axel a few points for ignoring and not defending Roxas when he was at their castle at the time.

 

Xemnas blinked slowly as he returned his gaze to the celestial heart.

"I believe he is still some use to us. He failed one mission and went awol only once. I have punished him for this as have you. He may be an inferno, but one that burns a path towards our goal. You should know this the best Saix. After all, you knew him rather well in the past. The one I'm more concerned about is number XV. His name always escaped me."

 

Luxord looked at everything that was happening kinda concerned how well Clouds and Tiffa bond was. The Gambler of Fate looked at Xigbar lookin at his superior to see if the free shooter was concerned about the same thing. Upon wondering he heard Roxas an chuckle escaped his lips "oh Roxas an old companion" The Gambler of Fate said as he shaked his head sadly. "i always thought of you as an futere traitor but now doing foolish actions" Luxord said calmly to the Key of Destiny. "Roxas pleaze dont make me think less of you because of you showing such aggresive nature towards me is demenishing the respect i have for you" Luxord said with an smile on his face.

 

Tifa sighed. She was running out of patience, and her head was starting to hurt worse. "It sounds like you are jealous, Cloud. I think I am smart enough not to let anyone use me. Not after the last time." she murmured, feeling slight pangs of hurt go through her chest. Did he think she was stupid? She knew the games. "You, be quiet." she directed at Axel. "You have other issues to contend with, if i"m not mistake. Demyx, I don't try to stereotype, but I'm just a little wary because I don't know you yet. You're Xion's friend, and Cloud's, and that's all I know."

Xion shook her head, tyring to lose her visions, then reached up and tugged on Axel's sleeve. "Tifa's hurting, you guys. You should let her rest. She hasn't slept since..." she blinked quickly, rubbing her eyes. "Axel, why did you leave me and Roxas? I thought you were my friend, I thought...."

 

Roxas glared at Luxord as he clenched his fists with the keyblade still in his clutches. He didn't like the games that he was playing, but he knew he wasn't going to do anything to make him attack him. "That is Axel's fault of where I get my agression from," He stated. "Why are you and Xigbar really here?" He replied as he ignored Axel completely.


Saix looked at Xenmas though a questionable of how he knew about him and Axel's past. "I am surprised that you know about me and Lea." He said and then summoned a portal. "Number XV name's is Gex superior." The lunar deviner said. He was about to leave, but he wanted to make sure that there wasn't anything else he could of missed from the superior. So he stayed and waited.

Axel narrowed his eyes at Tifa as he only chuckled darkly in a tone that could frighten a child. "You know it is true, so stop playing stupid. Who is it tell you that your kids are not safe now. Humans are very good at letting their insecurties judge their mind set," was all he said as he strolled over to where Xion was at. " I needed time to think. I will grant Roxas of what he wants though. It is quite obvious that I am not wanted here. Remember Xion an nobody will do anything in order to surive."

 

Xion looked up at Axel through her lashes, the effect making her look older and sadder. "Anything, Axel?" she murmured, thinking of what he might to, what they now meant to him. "Anything?"

 

Xemnas nodded slowly. He barely acknowledged the nobody's words.

"Yes yes, that's his name. We should watch out for him. He isn't properly driven like the rest of them. He might be unstable. If he ever looks like he'll waver, kill him will you?"

 

Xigbar took Luxord over to the side for he wanted to talk to him alone. "She's a problem. I can tell it all ready. She gives him the hope and will to come out from the darkness. We need to fix that. Somehow you or myself or the both of us will corner her and you can play one of your games with her."

Cloud uncrossed his arms and shifted his weight to his other foot. It was becoming to dark and the sound of repair work was being heard from the town. The plumbing was the majour problem, but slowly it was beginning to get fixed thanks to the cooperation of other townspeople lending a hand. The stars were nearly lighting up the sky, with the full moon passing overhead. It was getting late more into the hours of 8pm or 9pm, which made him yawn slightly. He quickly recovered not wanting to act like he was bored, but in truth he was tired. "Jealous? I don't want you to get hurt Tifa. I care about you. I couldn't stand it if I lost another that I held deep feelings for." He mumored the last part and he held his chest, coughing a bit.

Demyx starred at the stars for he was used to the darkness as his homeworld was always dismal. Light never penetrated through except from Kingdom Hearts. It was like a glimmer of hope in the abyss of despair. He understood where she was coming from and of course she would be weary of someone she had not known for long, but he had to be careful not to get to close for he couldn't dare face another session of pain he recieved from Xemnas for not doing his job. What else could he do though? Larxene had desserted him in a huff, and the Turks were somewhere else in the town and he didn't feel like hunting for any of them, not this late. He would have to wait till the next day. For now, he stayed where he was at with his friends, listening to Axel speak the truth of humans to Tifa and then explain himself to Xion, the ugly truth what he and Demyx were doing so lately which was trying to survive by balancing friendships and doing thier job in the organization. "Well the sooner you know more about me the better I guess as we all come from different worlds. Just know that what ever I do is for my own exitance to be here another day among friends and this life I have. I don't have a choice regardless how you deem my act. It's either do what the boss says or be brought to him and suffer his wrath," he hugged himself scared and horrifed of what he had gone through, the traumatic experience still haunting him and the forever goal of living up to Xemnas's expectations as his son etched in his mind.

 

Saix nodded his head as it seem like an evil smile had crossed his features. At last Xenmas was having some rashal thoughts about their new recruit. "That won't be a problem at all. I promise you I will do what it takes to make sure that we gain our goal." The Lunar Deviner said as he crossed himself into the portal.

Axel turned his gaze on Xion again as this was an impossible decision to go by. Her expression was almost heart shaking if he had one, and he felt bad for what he did to them. He didn't want to kill her or Roxas and he already promised Roxas he would be the godfather of her child, but he had to play it safe. "It depends on the request. But it doesn't mean that I still can't have you and Roxas as friends." He replied trying to make the situation lighter. "I just have to stay away from you guys when there are certain members around. If I don't I will be wiped out of existance." He smiled sadly.

 

Xeol was whistling before Cid grabed him. The fog wielder could tell there was anger in the man's eyes it made an smile appear on Xeol's face. "oh i bet you must hate me" The fog wielder said chuckling happily as he looked at the hand slowly heading towards him. "i was only being nosy and i wanted to learn more about the terks" Xeol said to him with an friendly smile "and other reasons but theres no point of you knowing" he said as the smile tuned from friendly to sadestic

Before Xigbar took Luxord to the side so they could talk he looked at Roxas. But he could not say anything else cause his superior wanted an word with him. The Gambler of Fate nodded in agreement that women could ruin the whole plan. "hmm i guess i can make an game out of the opperation dear free shooter and i know someone that can enlighten her to listen if she manages to escape an try to inform others" Luxord said to the one eyed nobody silently.

 

Marluxia taking out his scythe as he went to the training room he let out a sigh."Relaxing the tension helps clear the mind"He said to himself as he stood collected with his scythe in front of him.With closed eyes he swung his scythe imagining an enemy in front of him.

 

Tifa smiled a little, then looked up at the sky. "Let's continue this later. I need to get Namine and Xion someplace safer, and you can come with us, if you want. We all need sleep. It's been a hard day." she sighed, hugging herself. "Come on, Xion."

The small girl tore her eyes away from Axel, sadly, and she sighed. "Okay..." she murmured, then placed a smile on her face, looking up at Axel with a happy expression pasted on her face. "You don't have to be friends with me, Roxas, not if it puts you in danger. I understand. You can't be seen as a traitor. You can kill me, one day, if you must." she turned and took Tifa's hand, both of them walking down the road a ways then stopping, waiting to see if Namine wanted to come.

 

Cloud agreed with Tifa's idea as he headed off towards the house, reaching it without trouble, due to his speed. It was vital to be inside before all the crazy loons were out and about doing who knows what. Opening the door, he closed it slightly behind him, making sure it was unlocked for the others to come in as well.. Taking his place on the couch, he smoothed out some blankets and fluffed up a pillow making sure it was comfortable for him. Before settling down however, his eyes caught upon a strange fog that had entered the house for no apparant reason. "What now?" He thought he could relax, but there was something that didn't seem right. With the buster sword in his hand, he walked into another room to see another organization member giving trouble with Cid. "Hey what are you doing here?"

Without a moment's notice, the melodious nocturne disappeared into a void having it appear where he was residing when he was not in his homeworld. The house was small, but not to small and he thought he heard a ruckus coming somewhere else. His senses felt the prescense of another member, not one of the orignial thirteen, but one of the newer ones. Spotting the fog drift along the interior of the walls and the ground, Demyx now knew who the member was. Walking over, he saw Cloud confronting him. "Xeol? What are you doing now? Don't you know it's late? Leave who ever it is alone ok?" He stood next to Cloud and placed his hand on the hilt of Cloud's sword signaling not to hurt him.

Xigbar gripped his shoulder drawing him closer towards him and into the darkness of the alley ways. It wasn't smart to discuss any plans out in the open even if Luxord was being as quiet or silent as possible. He lessned his grip, letting go entirely and brushed off his shoulder. "So what kind of game did you have in mind?" He smirked wanting to hear the details of the gambler of fate's ingenious plan.

Luxord was about to brush of his shoulder but the one eyed nobody did it for him. The Gambler thought of an game that would satisfy the whole organization if Tiffa managed to win. "since im an man of games of various sorts thus this game will requere two bets on the challengers side" The Gambler of Fate said to his companion. "dear free shooter ill obtain two of their faithfull friend turn the persons into an card" Luxord said to Xigbar. "they would try to pick an card their friends are in Luxord raised up 3 fingers "they will only have 3 chances to pick the correct cards out of 7" the blond nobody said as The Gambler of Fate got his 3 fingers down and looked at Xigbar. "on the last pick ill give her the choice lose her heart to save the two or let the two be engulfed by the darkness" Luxord finished explaining his game to the free shooter.

 

Tifa ignored the mist, heading straight for her room. Cloud would figure it out, he always did in the end. She let Xion in, then shut the door behind her, enveloping the room in darkness. "I'm so sick of all the drama." she whispered, sitting down on the bed. "The hate, the sadness, everything. How do you stand it?" she asked, the small girl, letting her face rest in her hands.

Xion sat behind Tifa, braiding her hair straight down her back. "By finding the good things, however small they may be." she answered, tying off the braid with a small leather tie. "By remembering what I'm fighting to keep safe." She smiled a little. "We can't all be big heroes. Aerith always said to do my small part, see what I could, then let others who could handle the rest do it. I would only get in the way trying to be there all the time. You should rest."

Tifa smiled at the little girl. "You're the one who's pregnant...but I suppose so. Wake me up if anything happens." She touched her hair, then smiled. "Thank you, Xion." She closed her eyes and let her head hit the pillow.

 

Leon sighed as he laid back on an arm rest as he was chosing as his bed for the time being. Alot of things had happend today and he didn't want to waster more time aguing with anyone else. All that mattered was sleep right now. "Come on you two get some shut eye!" He hadn't known that there was another disturbances right now.


Roxas kept his fist clenched as he glared daggers at the one who he used to call his best friend. He didn't like the idea with Axel playing agent, but either way he needed to keep an eye on Xion. She was his priority and Axel was just a sad memory now. He didn't like the idea that before Xion had given Axel permission to kill her someday. He needed to get his point across and with his keyblade still out he needed to whack someone and that person was no other that Axel. He took a deep breath and slashed the keyblade at the fire wielder right at his ribs. There was blood dripping on his keyblade now and then upon seeing the shocked expression and almost unreadible emotion on the fiery red head had nearly close enough had Roxas gone into shock. "I'm sorry...." He mumurmed as seem his eyes were going to leak and then ran off before the taller nobody even had an chance to give him an reaction. "What the hell have I done? I attacked my best friend!" He huddled himself in a corner in his room.


Axel clenched from the pain and he almost lost his footing and tumbled over his side which did not make the bleeding under his cloak any better. He had felt that he had been poisoned since the keyblade was deadly to an nobody. Panting somewhat the flurry's expression had changed when the key of destiny had ran off. He didn't know what to think anymore or if it was just a reaction or a way to get even that Roxas had striked him. Forgetting about him for the time being the flurry invited himself in the house and then managed and collasped on a far off sofa with one hand holding at his cloak that had a deep hole in it where the gash was located. He refused to unzip the cloak to see how much damage was taken in. His panting and breathing was worse off though.
