A Life to Lead ^_^

Gex jumped through the corridor without a second thought. All the while he was stratching his head like he had lice. Landing on the other end, he was scratching furiously while spinning in a circle.

"Getitoutgetitoutgetitouuuuuuut!!!" he roared.

 

Larxene growled furiously at how the masochist was acting.
How dare he show me up like this? How dare he even attempt to present such behaviour infront of the superior like this?
She kicked him - perhaps not full-force, but with enough force to stun him for a few seconds. "he has summoned us, you brainless bag of worthless bones. Now pull yourself together, before I make that little metephorical phrase into a literal sense and tear. you. apart."

 

The superior walked over to his two soldiers. Flashing his eyes about he could tell there was something wrong. The new one was still bleeding. Also smoke was trailing off of his neck. What in the world happened. Clutching his fists, Xemnas addressed his subordinates

"How long does it take to sign a name? More importantly, is it dangerous enough to injure a recruit?"

 

Mixt once again made a simple nod, not being one or unnecessary words. He then stood in front of his tile and took out a piece of chalk. He began to draw out a simple alchemy circle but it seemed to be slightly too big for the tile. He vaguely heard Vexen spitting an insult but gave it no attention. He triggered the circle and in vibrant light the circle morphed itself into a much more intricate design involving several symbols that seem to contradict themselves, such as a skull with angelic wings or a dove with pentagon on it's wing.

 

"Not long, my leige, but Gex's previous injuries caused quite a stir with his physical abilities, and when we are to be appointed on a mission, he needs to be in the best physical form, does he not?" Larxene answered, looking her superior straight in the eyes. "We had to obtain some form of potion to heal his wounds, and as you must know, I am not a fna of magic myself, and had no knowlege as to what to get him. We eventually found a potion, but it did not clear all of his wounds.

Stroking his chin, Xemnas debated whether to let these lies to continue unchallenged. After a moment of thought, he desided to let the nymph off for he had more important things to worry about.

"Very well. Your orders are to go to hollow bastion immediately and search for the strongest hearts you can. If you find any engage them in combat and attempt to capture them. If the fight is unwinable, return here and find some of the others to help you. Understood?"

 

"Yes me leige. We shall not fail you." Larxene nodded, glaring at Gex with her malicious eyes.
Opening a portal, she grabbed Gex and threw him into the corridors of darkness. She nodded once again at her superior, and entered the portal herself, pulling Gex out of the other side with her, and into hollow bastion.

 

Cloud thought about Aerith and he couldn't bare to lose her if he was gone. He had to accept that Zack was not coming back. Sighing he knew the truth and had to let go of false hope. "It just would have been nice to see him again. He was my best friend and mentour and he died in vain all because of me. It's my fault. No, it's Sephiroth's fault. He did this." He looked away, his back turned to the others as he closed his eyes. "I have to think Zack is in a better place. The life stream has him now so he should be at peace." No wonder his heart was full of negative feelings. Darkness had taken over him and Aerith and Tifa were the only ones to make him see the light, but still the darkness still held a tight grip on him. Thinking of the contract, he hoped that if he did kill the heartless that it was those that were tormenting innocent people. That way he would convince himself that he was doing was for the greater good. As he looked up at the others, he eyes widened when he senced another presence towards the West. "No it couldn't be?" His keen sences were picking up on others in the area.

Demyx placed his hand on Xion's shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze. "He believes you and that's all that matters. It was good of you to think of him like that. Thank you." Demyx smiled and walked to the other side of her, his hand reaching up in the air as he placed it above his forehead to shield the bright light was coming through the clouds. He fell silent and his fingers trembled sencing two nobodies had come to the world and another living being was close in the area as well. No, this couldn't be happening? Was someone sent out to spy on him or retrieve Xion or did the business have to concern Cloud? He needed to find out who it was. Leaving the area real quick the form of the living person came into view as he saw Sora, Donald, Goofy and Riku outside of Merlin's house. He then spotted Leon hiding around the corner as well as two members of the organization, Larxene and Gex to be exact in another part of Hollow Bastion. "Oh no," he placed his hand over his forehead. "There goes my fun." Running off he returned back to where Cloud and Xion were. "So who wants to get some food and icecream now?" He hoped he didn't have to fight and wanted to avoid any confrontations and that meant getting out of there before he, Cloud, and Xion were spotted.

 

Reaching home, Aerith put down her basket, and smiled as she held the new staff she had gotten Xion. The girl was read for it. She went out into her garden, smiling with memories full of what had happened at her church.

Xion held tightly to Demyx's hand, interepreting the feelings in his voice. "Do you want to go home?" she asked, watching Cloud nervously. She coudln't let him go....Aerith wouldn't have let him. "Cloud won't leave Aerith without saying goodbye, right?" she asked nervously.

 

Gex landed in a heap on the cold stone ground. still stunned from the gut shot, he had a hard time finding his feet. Groaning, the madman looked at his surroundings. It was a dump at heart, but compared to the filth of the underworld and the gloom of the world that never was, it was elegant.

"Wow, where are we exactly?"

Gex continued to take in the views.

 

He shook his head back and back and forth. "No I don't want to go home. We're staying together besides I need you help with something that I plan to do. Cloud I need your assistance as well, but we'll discuss this else where. I fear a certain someone is coming and I would rather not want to deal with him and his friends." Demyx scratched his right shoulder as some sweat almost formed on his forehead.

Cloud walked towards the other end of the residence and then back again. "You sensed them too I see. Tell me did you have a visual?"

"Yeah it was a funny looking dog creature, a duck, some guy with silver hair and oh what's his name the guy with clown shoes and brunette hair that sticks out in different directions? He's bad news and I would rather not fight him."

"Yes I know who you are talking about. I would rather not see him either. Leon knows him better then I do. That kid would try to stop me if he found out what I have done. Perhaps someone told him which is why he is in this location? Yes that has to be it. He wouldn't come here for no good reason or just to chit chat. I say we go inside."

 

Aerith appeared behind them. "What's going on, Cloud?" her green eyes flashed. Xion had sounded so scared when she called her, she wondered what had happened. "Please tell me you aren't going to fight anyone."

Xion smiled as Aerith came, holding onto Demyx's hand. Aerith wouldn't let them do anything stupid....she watched the woman, surprised by how formidible she could seem.

 

"Hollow bastion." Larxene replied coldly, looking about her surroundings. "Stop looking so amazed; it's nothing special. Get over it." She walked over to the madman, gripping him by the collar of his black coat. "What the hell do you think you were doing back there?" she demanded, the air beginning to snap with the static-like tension building. "Smacking yourself in the head? Telling the superior himself to get out repeatedly? What kind of idiot are you!? How do you think that makes ME look!?

 

The mad man raised a finger to defend himself against the onslaught of words and spit. Hopefully this would quiet her for a moment

"First off..." he started.

"He was inside my head, inside me! I don't know about you, but I felt rather violated. Second off, he isn't the one to care about such action. He probably would not listen is all. To answer your other questions I am the dangerous kind of idiot. Also he thinks nothing of you. As far as he's conserned, demyx found me, not you."

 

"Gex, you fail to grasp the concept of what I am saying." Larxene shook her head. "I am built upon self-esteem, assertiveness, violence and pride." Her leer dug straight into Gex's pupils. "I don't care about hwat others think, only that if any of the other organisation members happened to open a portal and walk out and into that display, I would have kicked off. And I don't want to kick off on you. I don't think you want me to, either. With one quick breath, she turned her back to him. Her actions were a simple impulse to control her sizzling - or in her case, crackling - temper.

 

"Then I did the perfect thing."

Grabbing her shoulders, gex spun around his mistress and kissed her on the lips.

"The less assertive I look, the more assertive you look by comparison. If anyone came in, then you'd look like a queen while I a lowly pesant. Trust me once in a while. You'll enjoy it."

 

With her eyes squeezed tightly shut, Larxene listened to Gex's words.
His soft lips that had made contact with hers for that split moment... they sent her into a state of physical and mental shock.
The memories. The guilt. The partial phantom emotions still lingering in her mind... The melodious Nocturne that had engraved himself ever-so deeper into her memories, that the slightest thing could set her off.

Her eyes re-opened, gazing at Gex softly before being hidden for a split second for her blinking. Did he really just do that? Or am I just dreaming... imagining what I would predict to happen, and projecting them unto my own visage of reality?
"Enjoy it..." She repeated in a low mumble, followed by a slow nod of approval. "Enjoyment.. is certainly something that can come out of nowhere."​

 

"That is why you should alway pay attention so you can find it and have it as your own."

On that note, the masochist of insanity turned around and ran into the depths of hollow bastion. His ever present smile layed bare for the world to see. Soon he would find the hearts so she could have one. That was his mission. Without here, life would be painless, a hell of hells. Such worlds should not be imagined.

 

Larxene rolled her eyes. "Gex, I'm staying with you." She called, jogging, and catching up with him instantly. "You aren't getting rid of me that easily." she smiled.
Coming to a sudden halt, she crouched and let Gex run a few meters ahead.
When the timing was right, she let out a slight growl and pounced, landing straight onto the masochists back.

 

Gex landed on the ground and the two became entangled in black and limbs. Trying to catch a glimpse of Larxene, the asylum escapee tried to think up something relevant.

"Shouldn't we get new clothes? If we where these we'll stick out like one of my broken bones. "
