A Life to Lead ^_^

"Really now?"

Gex began to stroke her face.

"In all honesty, I never thought we were tender together. We were always rough riders and I think that's how we'll stay."
Pulling her by the arm, Gex continued down the walk way.
All of this was well and good, but they still had a job to do. A fight was over the horizon and they both needed it.

 

Aerith smiled, taking Xion's hand. The girl was still afraid to even sleep alone, so she made sure she was always there for her. "Go ahead, tell him." she murmured, smiling.

Xion blushed, then hugged Demyx. "I learned to sing." she said in a small voice, hiding her face in Demyx's chest. She was so embarrassed, even though Aerith had said she was good.

 

Feeling his tight grasp on her arm immediatly made Larxene recoil to her usual, tense self.
With a snap back of her arm, and a tensing of her muscles, she threw Gex from his grasp upon her, and sent a charge of electricity through his body in the process.

She stepped back from the mad-man, a furious expression hardening the blue pools in her eyes. How dare he grab her like that? How dare he even order her to act in a certain way like he did? Maybe he didn't state it in an obvious fashion... But he certainly insinuated it enough to say it aloud.
"Don't you ever grab me like that again..." She hissed, her fists automatically curling tight. "I get confident and relax infront of another being for once in my entire time here... and you decide to try and stop me in my tracks? Are you intentionally attempting to piss me off?"

 

"Actually, I'm attempting it ensure that you don't get killed."

Laying in a heap, nerves twitching, Gex tried to plead his case.

"I'm sure you've noticed by now, but your boss isn't big on patience. That guy with the mullet ground it all away. He probably won't stand for failure. Therefore, if we don't get at least one truly powerful heart, heads will roll. Most likely they will be ours."

Gex placed once wobbly arm on the ground and tried to get some leverage to stand up again.

"You have to learn to trust me Larxene. Though I do admit, I like the spoils that I can reap from you temper."

 

Larxene's eyes narrowed.

"I don't care for Xemnas and his patience. He wants hearts, and he will get them. But all in time, okay?" Her eyes were as sharp as her tone at the moment, and sissy excuses were not helping them budge or soften one bit.

"I don't like being man-handled like that. Upon further notice, don't touch me." She ordered, awaiting for the madman to rise from the floor.

 

Gex stared at the ground, dissecting the nymph's words and understood what she ment. It looks like everything he did to protect this assest was lost. Now both of them will be forced to be alone where neither of them were to be understood.

"Very well then."

The madman got up from his lowly state and gripped his shoulder. His ever present grin was gone. Now it was replaced by an emotionless frown, his eyes were dead.

"I suppose we will split up and search for the hearts ourselves. If you're lucky you won't see me again unless xemnas forces us into the same room. Farewell."

On that note, the masochist turned his back to the girl and walked off to complete the only objective he had left.

 

Larxene watched Gex turn away, and sighed.
"what? I ask you not to make physical contact and all of a sudden things can't work with doing the mission together?" She asked, her tone a little softer, but still held that obscure, irritated edge.
Why was she wanting him to stay..? Why did she have the urge to beg for that smile to return..?
Smile for me...Show me you aren't serious...Hug me..Cuddle me..Protect me, if you must.
"It isn't my fault..." she muttered, hoping not to be questioned on her denial.

 

"No, no it is not. It is mine."

Gex opened a portal to who knows where. He still hadn't gotten the hang of these corridors, but it was worth a shot. More ground could be covered this way.
Before going through, the lunatic stopped two steps in front of the portal.
"...I'm sorry."
Without another word, he hopped through. The portal quickly sealed itself behind him.

 

She tried her best. She really did.
For once... Larxene wasn't quick enough.

With only her hand in the darkness, it had closed before she could jump through after Gex.
"Gex!" She coughed slightly, her voice fading into a slight whimper. "Gex I'm sorry... It wasnt your fault.."
She shook her head in denial.
He will come back... I know he will.

 

A portal appeared behind Larxene. From it fell Gex. He was bad at portals but jeez. At least he could have move a few blocks away.

"Ow."

Gex layed there, motionless. He had to figure out how these things worked or he'd never get his job done.

 

Larxene turned, and looked at Gex at her feet.
Oh... The irony. The pure irony.
Upon one shake of her head, she giggled. Her giggle slowly elevated into a low chuckle, and that, into a full-on laugh.
Her hands held to her sides as she bent over in further giggles.
"Gex...I'm supposed to be angry...Don't make me laugh!" she gasped, shutting her eyes tightly as she laughed more.

 

"Yes ma'am"
Gex stood up again and stared at her shaking from laughter. Strange how she could change her mimicry of emotion so quickly.

"It appears you weren't lucky. My apologies, I will try again."

Once more, Gex summoned a portal.

 

Larxene grabbed the madman, and pulled him back.
"No. Stop right there." Her giggling had stopped completely, and was replaced by a serious tone.
Now was the bit she didn't want to do... The part of which made her feel small. Larxene didn't like being made to feel smile, hence the reason she detestes Xemnas.
I know this is right, and it won't kill me to say it. It's two words.. and those words shall not burn my lips when rolling from them.
"...I...I'm.." Great. Stammered. How absurdly pathetic for one to do.
"I'm sorry, Gex." She mumbled finally, coughing to clear her throat at the ending of her sentence.
He's going to laugh at me, isn't he?

 

Gex raised his eybrow at her.
"for what?"
This was rather strange. what could be going on/
"what could you be sorry for?"

 

Demyx gentely pulled her away and looked into her eyes. "That's great to hear Xion. Perhaps you could sing the songs I play or be a backup singer?" He suggested. He looked to his other side and thought he still senced Larxene somewhere near by. "Why do I even keep thinking about her? She is the one that hurt me and yet I can't get her out of my head." He thought and tried to focus his attention on the others.

Cloud glanced at Aerith's green eyes and could almost tell what she was thinking. She was a kind hearted person and Xion was like the little sister or daughter she never had. It was a sweet moment and he leaned his arm against the wall. "I wouldn't mind hearing her either." He spoke up.

 

"For snapping back at you." Larxene mumbled, looking to the floor. "For... upsetting you. And..throwing you off me. It's just... When you grabbed me, it brought back some bad things."
Memories always orientated around Gex. Why? He's such an...oddly bad, but strangley innocent man to contend with, but also turns into this menecing monstrocity who thrives on pain and torture.
Dammit, he's...Amazing in his own way.

 

Gex wrapped his arms around the nymph. Leaning down, he whispered into her ear.

"Don't be sorry, please. It doesn't suit you. Not in the slightest."

Stroking her back, The madman tried to banish this think that wasn't larxene, not the larxene he would do anything for.

 

"...Dammit, Gex..." Larxene mumbled, resting her head on Gex's shoulder. "You have a nerve. I very nice nerve.."
I swear...I'm going to either punch him or hug him...
With her hands trembling, she gently put her arms around his shoulders, and let them hang there. Every movement was careful, almost delicate if it hadn't been for the sparks coming from her fingertips every so often.

 

"Then let's excite that nerve."
Gex's smile began to grow back. Dangerous, fragile, yet easy to fix, or maybe she was broken when she met him. maybe that is why she liked hurting people, to make it so she wasn't the only thing broken.

 

Larxene smiled, taking one delicate finger and running it down the side of Gex's face. When it reached Gex's mouth she held it to his lips, sending a small current through them and into his mouth.
Her smile grew wider as the current increased more and more.
With the closing of her eyes, she slowly counted in a whispering tone.
"Three...two...one..." She reopened her eyes, with a malicious glint in them, and flicked his lips. "Boom."
The volts sent through Gex's face and body were countless, and, what she hoped, was what he wanted.
