A Life to Lead ^_^

Cloud groaned as if he was having a nightmare. He turned to the side, his eyes still closed as he moved his body make and forth trying to get more comfortable. "No leave me alone." He said in his sleep. Subconsciencously his body jolted awake as he gasped and rolled off the couch seizing his buster sword as it clanged with Masamune. "Sephiroth! What the hell do you want now?" He demanded and wondered how he got in the house? If Aerith came back she would not be pleased.

Demyx cringed appearing as small and weak as possible no thanks to his leg bothering him. She had gotten him in trouble again and now he didn't know what was in store for him? "No and I don't want to find out. I was going to go with you, but you never left and then everything else happened." He looked down at his boots,refusing to look into the eyes of the Superior. "Boss if anything I was taking a break. I was going to do my job, but I needed my rest first," he tried to save himself from being in so much trouble. The tone of Xemnas's voice was more threatening then what Larxene ever had said to him. Clasping both of his arms behind his back, he looked up once and but still refused to even give a glance into his eyes.

 

Then maybe you should have had your pets work while you relaxed.

Xemnas was growing more and more tired with demyx's excuses with each passing second. If he actually had a good reason then things would be diffrent. However that was not the case. It was either poorly constructed replies or blantant lying. He truly was too much.
The leader of the organization curled his hand into a fist. Maybe he needs to be reeducated, again.

A omenious figure stepped out of the shadows as he held out his hand having the remaining of the nobodies that were spying on Sora and the others to leave them be. Their test was over for now. "Hmm it seems that the keyblader has gotten even more stronger," he muttered nearly to himself. He opened up a portal and sent a few of his Berserkers to spy on Roxas, Xion and Axel for whatever reason he didn't trust them. Chuckling slightly he sent an message to Xenmas telling him that Sora and the others were in Hallow Bastion.

 

"I want only what everyone wants. To rid your "existance" if it even deserves such a title. Your about to go to where your whole life has been adding up to. A wreck. Oh, what a wreck this will be. Tell me, Cloud. Will you bring others with you? Only one still accepts you. Embrace the eternal dark oblivion. You don't have to go far to find it. It's located where your Heart should be," Sephiroth said.

 

Hearing the telepathic message soothed xemnas. Demyx's failure seemed far more distant. He couldn't kill the weilder now, at least not yet. He could still kill a very powerful heartless and do most of the work for him. The superior replied with a message of his own. He commanded to do what he saw fit and left it at that. Saix was no larxene, he could follow orders and make logical actions.

 

"Haha..Leon are you sure you don't know any more of them? I need to know all I can, we all do..lives are at stake.." Sora said, growing serious. Leon was acting much different than how Sora remembered..something must've gone on when he was gone."The organization would kill everyone here, even you, just so they can take the hearts they have. You don't want that, and neither do I..doesn't Cid have anything in his computer?"

 

Cloud waved his sword at Sephiroth in a threatening manner ready to slice him in half. " Shut up. You know nothing about me. You think you do, but you actually don't. No one wants me gone. I have a heart unlike you," he felt it pulsating quicker in his chest. "Things have changed Sephiroth and all I have to do is get rid of you and the darkness will go away."Was he waiting for him to attack or the other way around? Cloud was beginning to lose his patience, but would not fall for Sephiroth's techniques. He had fought him time and time again and it was the last straw. Sephiroth not only had endangered him, but Aerith and Leon and the others he was staying with. Now they would be in danger if he didn't stop him. He looked towards the window and then got an idea. Edging closer towards it, he waited for the right moment.

Demyx's back was against a building as the wind swept through his air beginning to chill his body. He sneezed a few times and looked the other way wishing he was some place warm. "My pets? Do you mean my dancers?" He asked clearly knowing what Xemnas meant which was most likely Cloud and Leon. They were not his pets just his friends, but he wouldn't tell Xemnas that. "Don't you think you're taking this a little to far?" he grimaced, his teeth chattering in his mouth out of coldness and fear when he saw the Superior tighten his fist as if he was ready to unleash an ominous attack.

 

"You are a part of the darkness, Cloud. A poor demented mirroring of me. Accept your fate. Accept the darkness," Sephiroth said this as he summoned Dark Orbs and when they were summoned, he sent them at Cloud and rushed at Cloud himself with his Masamune aimed at him.

 

I would never think that Demyx. Neither should you.

Xemnas summoned one of his aerial blades. the water mage really should learn his place. He never was one for thinking, only acting on impulse. That was what made him lacking in efficiency.

 

Leon held his hand in slight frusteration wondering what else he could tell Sora without endangering himself with the contract that he and Cloud had made. Then he got an idea, he had fought Axel and briefly he had darkness surrounding his body. That must be the change that he felt in personality. Was the encounter he had with the red hair changing and making him darker as well? No, he refused to even question it. It was impossible, he didn't become an heartless, but he almost....."There is always the study, the one where Ansem had all of his information on the organization," he replied. "It is said that there were 6 apprentices that experimented with the human heart and in the outcome they feel into darkness," He looked at Sora with an determined look. "I know where that is, come on follow me," he began running, but then he stopped as he noticed a familar lesser nobody. The assassins were looking for Xion and not expecting the others. "Oh great he sent out his servants," Leon went into his fighting stance and Yuffie did the same. "No, your master is not going to turn me into an heartless like he almost did," he attacked the creatures which of course attacked on its impulses.

 

"Again!?" Sora said in surprise and annoyance as he summoned his Kingdom Key. Donald and Goofy stood by his side, ready to help. Though this would take too long.He wanted answers and wanted them now.The more time they wasted with the minions the more hearts people lost."Hey, Goofy..Drive with me!" Goofy nodding in agreement, Sora reached into his pocket and pulled out a small sphere with a red tint all around it. He squeezed it tightly and light formed from the increase in power. Landing back on his feet with another keyblade in hand, the Star Seeker, Sora was more fierce than ever."Leave it to me you guys!" he said, rushing into the fray with newfound speed as he swept the Assassin's up with his swift combo attacks, not giving them a chance to rest until they completely disappeared.

 

Cloud dodged the attacks, by doing a summersault acorss the ground to avoid them and quickly got up, his buster clanging metal with the Masamune once more. "Never! You can't force me to act aganist my will. Sephiroth, you're not going to get away this time!" Grunting with his muscles tightening and his teeth clenched shut, he forced his nemesis towards him since the rug they were both on was slipping bringing him closer as Cloud was now against the window. With his feet spread apart, he yelled swinging the long slender blade aside and quickly turned his back whirling around now aganist the wall with Sephiroth facing the window now. "You have cast other's hatred upon me, killed my best friend and now you have come to annihialate me. You'll never enslave me ever!"

Demyx backed away more, now his back firmly against the building preventing him from moving. The aerial blade was a horrible sight to behold and he whimpered like a pitiful puppy that was being mistreated. With his arms gripping the sides of the wall, he thought of what he should do? He would not attack for that would spell out betrayal and Xemnas would kill him for sure. "Boss... Superior I know you don't want to do this. You just feel like you have to right?" Demyx's breath was quick almost like hypervenailating and he tensed his body ready to flee if he didn't have a choice.

 

Leon stepped back a bit to make sure there were no more of that kind. He didn't see anymore of them appear, but he knew that nobodies always had back ups. They were like flies that you had to swat away, but would return with reinforcements. "Okay, let's make a break for it, don't bother fighting or they will regroup," he ran up ahead making sure that Sora, Goofy, Donald and Yuffie were following him until they reached their destination.

Axel seemed a bit intense as he felt the presence of his own servants scents disappear. His fists clenched tightly as he glared menacely at the distance. Sure he had thousands back home, but still he didn't feel like regrouping them once again. It was disturbing to him that he sent them to seek out someone and they ended up being sacrificed to begin with. He couldn't see anyone, but found out that his servants had failed. "It seems we will have to find Xion on our own now. Someone destroyed them," he sighed as he looked at Roxas. The presence alone or scent reminded him of the keyblade wielder, but should he tell Roxas?

 

It is more of an obligation demyx. your haven't done your job properly and you hide behind lies and sloth. For that alone I should destroy you, but you can still be useful. All you have to do is be obidiant. are you capable of that demyx?

 

"Poor confused Cloud. Never able to see what was the truth. Nobody has enslaved you but yourself. You have weakend, Cloud, while I have only grown stronger feeding on your ever growing hatred. Is that hatred for me... or for someone else?" Sephiroth asked innocently.

 

Taking care of the Assassin's with ease, Valor Sora and Donald ran right after Leon, seen ending up at Ansem's Study, right in front of his computer.Unable to figure out what to do, Sora looked to Leon. Surely he could pull up info.

Looking to Axel after waiting for a signal or shout back, Roxas grew curious. "Like who?" he questioned.Come to think of it, he had felt a familiar presence here that wasn't a nobody. It was like Roxas had met him before..but who was it?

Narrowing his eyes, Roxas looked out into the distance. "...My..somebody?"

 

He was shaking from head to toe watching the aerial blade and never letting his eyes off of it. He would do anything at this point to save his own life. "Of course boss. Just name what you want me to do and it shall be done." He nodded knowing his luck was beginning to run out. He had escaped close encounters with his own demise many times and he felt that this could be it if he failed. He thought of never seeing his new friend again, or the other members Axel and Roxas, Xion and even Larxene. He would gladly take her punishment rather then facing up to Xemnas. In that fight against her, he would at least stand a chance where as with Xemnas, a snowball's chance in Hell. The only method to save his own life would be to run away. No failure this time was not an option. It was life or death.

Cloud shook his head refusing to listen to Sephiroth's words any longer. His patience had run out. "I've had it with you!" He lunged at him, breaking the window with his massive sword as he lunged it through the broken shards and frame before he slashed at his enemy, his eyes begining to become cat like, the Mako seeping through them once more. Blinking them open, they were frighting green orbs, the iris of both eyes a diamond shape. Sephiroth had gotten to him.

 

Fortune smiled on the water wielder this day. A falling cloud surrounded by the sound of shattered glass distracted xemnas. What could possibly be going on? Whatever it was it was something that was of more value than demyx. A powerful heart was near, he could just feel it.

Summoning his second aerial blade, the nobody prepared for whatever was coming his way.

 

Sephiroth placed his Masamune in a position to guard incoming attacks. "Just look in the mirror. Anyobdy could see it in your eyes. Your turning to the darkness. All this talk of light... let's put a end to the hypocricy," Sephiroth said. Seeing Cloud go beserk was one of his joys in life, and it was easily achived.

 

Demyx watched his friend battle a long silver haired man whom was set on killing him. Stunned he was transfixed by Xemnas's other aerial blade. This caused his eyes to widen even more. Holding his breath and then exhaling he kept his eyes on the weapons as well as glanced over at Cloud and Sephiroth battling it out. Upon closer inspection, he saw Cloud's eyes had changed and it recalled seeing the same thing when Larxene had fought him that made him change that way. "Oh no..." he slid away from the wall and kept his distance from the battling warriors and Xemnas.

Cloud retailated swinging violently against Sephiroth using the technique of "braver" set on killing him, his strength had temporary increased brought on by his fury and hatred. He was like a killing machine. He jumped up following through on his limit break.
