A Life to Lead ^_^

Aerith pulled herself together. Get yourself together, girl. You can't distract him. "Get your hands off her." She said menacingly, stalking toward Axel.

 

Demyx had nothing more to say to Axel for the moment. If he wanted to leave and go find his best friend, then so be it. The melodious nocturne had to think about his own safety and do as what he was asked or told. That was his purpsose in the organization. He would keep to himself and be in his own world away from the others because he felt alienated by all of them. For some reason no one in the organization liked him except maybe Xigbar, but that was it. He couldn't go after Roxas for what point would there be? He didn't understand Axel's and Xion's close connection to Roxas or their friendship and didn't care to. If Axel wanted to be a traitor to, then he might as well be good as gone as well. "Just go Axel. Go be with your friend who understands you. You're better off with him anyway. You to have so much in common after all," it hurt him to say these words, but it was the truth. "Go Axel before you're hunted down too." He glanced at him once more before looking away once again.

"Enough! I have heard enough out of you. I know what my friends think of me. You're trying to poision my mind and it's not going to work. I see the light and I know who I am." He pointed his sword at Sephiroth. "And that is not you. What I do is to rid the world of you." And with those final words, he cast his sword into the chest of his nemsis, his light revealing all around his body to push back the darkness. He lunged it deeper, looking into the eyes of him, his grip becoming so tight, he would no longer focus on anything but vengenace.

 

Aerith couldn't do everything at once. Help Xion, help Cloud. She finally threw herself towards Axel, and Xion, praying that Cloud would be able to survive. If he didn't.......but she had made a promise.

 

Axel looked at Aerith who had thrown herself at him. He lifted himself up and placed Xion in the portal, back to Twilight Town as he knew that Roxas would be there. He couldnt' possibly be anywhere else. "I am placing her out of harm's way, back to where Roxas is at," he assured her as the portal had closed. He then noticed Demyx now and sighed feeling such a tinge of hurt thrusting through his body. "Demyx, don't say things like that. If anything the roles are reversed how do you think of how I feel that you have accepted an human to replace me?" He motioned at Cloud.

 

Aerith, clenched her hands. "Then take me with. I'm not leaving her." She twinged with guilt at leaving Cloud, but who knew where Xion was by now?

Xion stumbled, then almost fell, catching herself on something warm. Roxas' shoulder. She hugged him tightly, looking around to see if Axel or Aerith had come with.

 

Having been staring hard at the neverending sunset for a few minutes at best, Roxas looked to his side, feeling someone coming. It wasn't Axel though..it was Xion this time, and she made a pretty sloppy landing.Before he could respond, she hugged him as tightly as ever, and he couldn't help but smile."..Sorry about earlier..it's just impossible explaining to someone like that." he explained. Axel was at least a bit more reasonable when it came to approaching.

 

Xion nodded,still hugging him. "It's okay." she murmured, despite her shaking. "I was just a little worried." When all else fails, downplay.

 

"Before I die and you prove to them what you really are, I want you to know something, Cloud. We can never change who we are, and you are me. It is time we end this. The time has come, so let us split the future," Sephiroth said these words as more Darkness started to pour from his wounds.

 

Roxas nodded, knowing the feeling of worry. Whenever she ran away, he always felt a sense of worry and fear that they'd never get her again, and when that day came it, he nearly broke. Things weren't the same without her around. He didn't eat. He didn't sleep. He just sat in his room and thought to himself: 'Why couldn't I stop her?'

"I'm fine ..and they might send someone for me ..you still want to stay beside me, right?" he questioned her, bringing an arm around her to return the comfort. He wouldn't blame her if she left.

 

Xion nodded, then hesitated. "Roxas.....What do you think of having a family?..." she blushed, looking away. "I know it's sudden, and we just found each other, but I was talking with Aerith...."

 

"You're lying! I don't hurt the innocent like you have. I don't go out of my way to cause misery and chaos in a wake just for power. He didn't have to die because of you!" Cloud forced himself to shout what was in his heart. He missed Zack more then anyone would ever know and that monster who was dying before him was the cause of it. "Good riddance." He mutttered these words, avoiding the darkness that was pouring from the wounds. He gripped his own arm, his eyes changing from blue to green as if Sephiroth still had control over him. He was fighting with every fiber in his being not to give in to the darkness.

Demyx shook his head and hung his head thinking of what to say. He was so fed up with other accusing him of his actions, "Axel you'll never be replaced and if you really feel that then you don't know a thing about me. I did what I did and you can accept it or just go somewhere else," he opened a portal for him to go through. "The choice is up to you."

 

Caught off guard, Roxas blinked, but kept his arm around her regardless. What kind of family did she mean? Hopefully not the Organization idea of 'family', where one treated you judging by your age and height. He wondered if Xion had been waiting all this time to talk to him about it. "..Family?..and what did you talk to Aerith about?.." he leaned forward determinedly. She wanted help starting a family, and he was there to help her. He'd do whatever it took if it meant her happiness.

"Huh!?" Sora skid to a halt, surprised. He had dealt with Sephiroth before, but was unable to defeat him. A scratch was all he was able to inflict, and then Cloud had to finish the job. Unfortunately the job must've been only half finished, seeing as Sephiroth was still running around."But Leon, we can't just stand on the sidelines!"

 

Xion blushed. "A family with...children....I talked to her about starting one. If there was...a chance I could." She looked away.

 

Slowly, Roxas nodded, trying to register what she was saying.Xion, not Aerith, wanted a family with children ...but who was she going to find that she liked so much to-

...

..Oh..

OOOOOOOOOOH...

....oh.

Roxas pointed to himself, wondering if she was asking him what he thought she was. "..And..Y-you want me to..help you with that..? You trust me with that kind of power?"

 

She slowly nodded, blushing. "I trust you, Roxas.....It's ultimately your choice, but Aerith...she says it can help hide us. We can start a new life here with her."

 

Nervousness crept over him as she blushed. She was absolutely serious about this.And he didn't want to refuse her. He'd need to find a job, buy things to prepare, etcetera ..but he'd do all that and more for her. ".....O-okay ...do you ..think I'd be a good... dad?" he questioned, not thinking so. He didn't always have the best patience, but he'd learn it, for her sake, and for his child's.

 

Xion looked up at him, her blue eyes examining every inch of him. She finally smiled, then hugged him. "You would be a great dad. You don't need to worry, okay?" she was nervous, but she didn't show it. No chance in hell she would.

 

Blushing at her words, Roxas grew more determined than ever. He could do this, he could really do it. "All right ..I'll do it...do we do it now? ..and where do we go?" he questioned, wanting to make sure the time and place was good.

 

Standing up, Xion held out her hand. "Let's go back to my room." she offered. It was a safe environment to her, and one she knew well. Plus, everyone would be looking for them here. Aerith would understand. She had to help Cloud.

 

Roxas nodded, taking her hand and getting up. He allowed her to open the portal there and he followed without question. He had made his choice, it was time.
