A Life to Lead ^_^

While waiting for Axel's response, the Dancer had come up and bothered both of them. The Dancers mainly being Demyx line of Nobodies instantly made him resent the creature almost immediately. But, he listened, and merely rolled his eyes at the story. Who collapses like that, just because someone didn't like you at the time? Demyx wasn't gaining friendship or respect by collapsing, he'd say that much."Gotta be kidding me..Axel, go help Demyx ..I'll watch Xion." he mumbled, walking over towards the sleeping Xion and knelt down beside her, watching her sleep.He raised his hand and gently brushed her hair a couple times, a smile forming for the first time in a while."..You're my light ..and the most beautiful thing in the world to me."

 

Xion stirred, curling into a tighter ball. She thought someone was touching her, and the voice sounded familiar....she smiled slightly, opening her eyes. "I'm not that beautiful, Roxas." she murmured, slowly pushing herself off the ground.

 

He pulled his hand away from her and smiled wider. "I had a feeling you'd wake up if I said something like that ..Xion, in the midst of all this stupidity and emotion ..you are the only reason I haven't snapped yet." it was true, Demyx was starting to annoy him with his antics.Claimed to be different, but never was in front of others. He was the hypocrite in all this. Don't claim what you can't show to everyone, no matter what.

"..Hey..Aerith..are you all right?" he looked up and asked the brunette softly.

 

Aerith looked over, her smile small, and a little sad. "I'm alright." she answered, staring absentmindedly at the wall. So much to do, so little time. She wasn't afraid of death, but what time death would take from her. Xion would be left without someone who knew about the baby, and everything, and Cloud would be left without her....She had to find Tifa.

Xion nodded sleepily, leaning her head on his shoulder. She had thrown everything she could into bringing Zack back..she knew how much it meant to Aerith and Cloud, and Zack himself. "We still need to talk about that." Xion pointed out, covering a yawn.

 

Roxas brought his arms around Xion and held her closely, nodding to Aerith so it didn't look like he ignored her. She was important to Xion, and anything important to her, he'd protect.But he had to know what she saw in Demyx.He was tired of this debate."..Xion ..why do you bother with him? ..I don't have a problem with sensitivity, and running in a portal crying may be annoying ..but collapsing just because someone doesn't like you?..How...no, why ..why do you want him to be an uncle? He can't even take care of himself!" he muttered firmly.

 

Xion closed her eyes, smiling slightly. "Because I feel what he feels. I know what he is, deep down, just like I know what you are." She shivered slightly. "Just like I knew what Sephiroth was. He's a good person." she murmured. "He actually reminds me a bit of you."she winced inwardly. He wouldn't like that one.

 

"Being good doesn't always mean you can rely on them ..no matter how much good you feel, it doesn't change how someone acts or makes choices. Right now he's in a room sleeping ..and apparently he collapsed because he can't have his way..I don't understand how you feel ..I guess this is just something we can't agree on.." Roxas had to accept that she'd never understand. You can be a good person deep down, but competence and good were entirely different things.

 

Xion looked up at him. "Maybe.." she smiled slightly, then yawned again. "Where did Axel go? I thought he was with you." she changed the subject, thinking if they dragged that argument out too long it would become more emotional, and she wouldn't be able to take that right now.

 

"Take a look over my shoulder ... Roxas looked back at his red headed friend. Maybe this debate will destroy the friendship they had too.Roxas didn't want it, but falling and moping wouldn't solve anything.Tears could only get you so far, especially since your a supposed 'adult' as you claim to be.But he was prepared to give up and move on. He'd never respect Demyx again, and Demyx wasn't ever going to earn it properly.Heck, he'd honestly trust Larxene with a kid more than him.Why? Because she was disciplined and careful to an extent ..while Demyx was a puzzle that was never completed, especially in the head.

"So when Cloud's done with his job, we can go ..or does Aerith still have things to do here?"

 

Laying in his bed, the superior kept his eyes shut, attempting to block out the useless noise. Again with Demyx. Demyx this Demyx that, If he didn't have his shining moments he would have killed him personally by now.

"Why are you telling me this? That news was not useful to me in any shape and form. Have one of the lower members care for him. He will be fine."

 

Xion looked, then shook her head. "Damn I must be more tired then I thought." she murmured, then smiled, closing her eyes. "We can go, we just have to wait for her to give the okay....and I know she wants Cloud to come with....Roxas, I hope this isn't the last time he sees her. She's scared too, I know she is."

 

"....Right." was all Roxas could manage to say, not wanting to get into the discussion with Aerith. He really hadn't been paying much attention when it came to her and Cloud, mostly because Cloud was a kiss ass for Demyx.Bringing his arms tighter around Xion, he looked back up at Aerith. "I think she'd like a bed ..can you handle things here?" he questioned, guessing Xion would refuse leaving anyway.

 

Cloud didn't agree with Roxas's opinion on Demyx. Everyone was different and that's what made each individual unique. When he heard that he had collapsed, a sense of worry came on his face and he remembered what Zack had told him and if anything Cloud also listened to his best friend. He would honor Zack by doing what he thought he should have done in the first place. Demyx was a like a insecure child in a teen/young adult's body and if Roxas was going to be so critical over that, then he didn't want to know what kind of person Roxas was. Demyx was not doing this to just get his way, the guy had been through enough more than Roxas had known and finally all of it came crashing down upon the nocturne as if he had been hit by a car. He cared about others, more then his own needs and that was the reason that Zack must of saw and thought it was a good idea for Cloud to continue to watch over the misunderstood nobody.

Hearing the other news about Xion, Cloud made it in his list of objectives to watch over her in honor of Aerith. He hated to face the fact she was going to die, but he had to accept it and would honor her wishes as well. No wonder, Xion had was so clingy to Aerith. She probably knew she was going to depart soon and she needed someone to take care of. Perhaps Demyx could sense that Xion needed some comfort too and was the reason why he didn't want to cause trouble for her and the reason for his departure and what had happened to him. Cloud had made up his mind, he would watch over Demyx his new friend and help guide him and the both of them would take care of Xion regardless what Roxas thought or said. With his arms extended out, he hugged the spirit of Zack like a brother and thanked him for the advice he received. Letting go after a few minutes and with the light restored in his heart, he wandered back over to Xion and Aerith awaiting what they wanted to do. "Thank you," he said to Aerith as well as Xion. "I know what I must do." Walking over to Roxas he gave his words in a direct and final approach. "Zack has asked me to take care of Xion whether you like it or not. Demyx will also be helping her and you can have a fit or just accept it. Just know in the end, you're only hurting Xion if you choose to make trouble. Think of your unborn child rather than your own needs for once. Like I said you need to grow the hell up."

The dancer had a feeling Xemnas would say something like that as the superior had no heart and could care less about any of his soliders. It to had no feelings, but because the dancer's master was Demyx he held a lot of respect for him. Relunctly it departed and went where the rest of the other dancers were. It did not know that another dancer had carried Demyx to Larxene's room.

In his mind and his body not moving a muscle, the melodious nocturne was at rest and enjoying the esscense of the ocean, the sweet crisp air and playing a song for Xion who was holding her little girl in her arms. The little girl cooed trying to reach out and touch the strings of the instrument and Demyx just laughed and tickeled her tiny stomach. Xion was a wonderful mother so devoted to her little one as she cradled the miracle in her arms. Cloud was watching the both of them, a proud expression on his face as he held one of Aerith's most sacred possesssions. He was in thought and thinking of her. Axel was observing the others, looking towards the ocean and standing over them. He was watching Roxas dig up the sand and pour it over the sand mounds that were slowly forming into towers. Leon was by Cloud's side also looking up at the sky, not saying a word.

 

Roxas ignored Cloud since he wasn't seeing the big picture.Oh well, not his concern. And sure, they can take care of Xion, he didn't care about that ..but his kid? Ha, don't make him laugh.

 

Aerith went over and whispered, to Zack, then hugged him tightly. She brushed away tears, watching as he faded away. Sudden bursts of energy hit her, and she leaned against the wall, closing her eyes. What was this?

Xion trembled, her eyes wide. "We need to go now." she whispered, watching Aerith. "Can we please go now?" Aerith wasn't okay..they needed to go now.

 

Eyes widening in surprise, Roxas quickly scooped Xion up in a bridal fashion and headed over to Aerith.She definitely didn't look good, as if something hurt her deep inside. Of course, that guy Zack was gone again, and she was stuck with lousy old Cloud who left her behind so easily, some friend he was."Aerith, grab on to us, we're getting you home." he said, kneeling down with Xion still in his arms.

 

Cloud glanced at Roxas and took the initative to move in front of him, "I will take care of Aerith and if you have a problem with that then that's to bad," he picked her up in his arms and walked away with her. "You take care of Xion and don't get her upset," he said looking over his shoulder. Now the problem was, he didn't know where to take her? Deciding not to just stand around, he began walking and would take her to a spot where he could speak to her alone. He needed to spend as much time with her before she would leave him behind.

 

What the heck is his problem? ..Aerith hurt is more important than your stupid anger, creep. Roxas thought to himself as he watched the 'big, strong warrior' walk off like he was a big shot. He hated these people, all of them.Either they were wimpy hypocrites or some muscles losers trying to be an alpha male."Fine, whatever, jerk." he added, rolling his eyes in the process.

He looked back towards Xion. "Can you trust that jerk with Aerith?"

 

Aerith would have told him she was fine, but she ignored it. She was too tired anyway. Xion knee, she would be okay. "He told you?" she murmured to Cloud, her eyelids heavy. She wasn't sure what to say.

Xion shivered. "Roxas she'll be okay. Let's just go home." she whispered, holding onto him. "Please." she had only felt this cold once, and she wasn'going to try ti again.

 

Not hesitating for even a moment to debate this, Roxas sighed in relief as a pool of darkness formed under him, consuming both Xion and Roxas.Once he traveled through the Corridors of Darkness to get back home, he arrived back in her bedroom at home.It was still relatively dark out, so she could get some sleep.He laid her back down on her bed gently."Do you need anything?"
