A Life to Lead ^_^

Slowly nodding, Roxas began to trust her word on this.Him worrying would make her worry, and he'd do more harm than good, that much was certain.Looking at her briefly, he gave her a soft kiss on the lips before settling back on the bed, getting comfortable."Goodnight Xion ..I love you.." he whispered through the darkness, bringing an arm around her and slowly shutting his eyes.

 

As Roxas and Xion slept, Cloud was doing his best not to flip over a table. He did not like Aerith's attitude of giving up so easily. "What do you mean your death has to happen? He gripped his fist. "I will not accept this. There is always a way and how come you're not telling me!" He was upset now, his voice loud not caring if he woke anyone up or not. He wanted answers and was not going to assume that her death was just going to happen like she said it would.

Demyx now the sheets he was lying on and he sat up in a quick haste realizing whose room he was in? How the heck did he end up here? Starring at her, he backed himself against her headboard afraid she was going to hurt him. Upon doing this, he heard Axel's voice a glimmer of hope appeared in his eyes. "Axel?" His voice was hoarse and he coughed wondering what had happened?

 

Xion smiled, leaning against him and looking up at the ceiling. "Sweet dreams, Roxas. I love you too." she sensed Cloud and Aerith nearby, but stayed here. Her place was here. They needed to talk, she could feel it.

 

Axel froze for a moment and then side stepped almost causing himself to fall off balance. He knew that he had heard Demyx's name and then concentrated with his powers and began to locate the other member. "Demyx?" He called out then found himself locking eyes with the one person's door he never thought he would have to enter. Larxene's room. Taking a deep breath he forced the door opened and then glanced at the surroundings until he saw a mullet head on a bed. He walked over to him and then placed a hand on his shoulder. "Demyx! Are you okay? Why are you in Larxene's room?" He asked. He hadn't bothered to notice the other two in the room which were Gex and Larxene herself.

 

She flicked her wrist, then stared up at him with sad green eyes. "I don't want to die, Cloud." she murmured. "I don't want to leave any of you. Do you think I haven't tried to make it different? I can't. Please....just accept this."

 

(OOC: Magick you may have Tifa. Go ahead and post as her in your next response.)

Cloud crossed his arms not getting an answer from her. What was she hiding? He needed to know and would do what it took even if it meant waking up anyone who did know. " You still haven't told me what it is? He asked, his blue eyes were narrowing by the moment. "How am I supposed to help you if you won't tell me!" He picked up a chair and threw it at the door where Xion and Roxas slept. "You have to know. I'm not going to lose you either especially if I can save you!"

Demyx was relieved to see Axel for he knew he wouldn't hurt him. "Axel I don't know how I got in here. I just remember collapsing on the ground and..." he noticed a portal appear which was one of his dancers. It was waving its body more than usual as it seemed to be happy that its master was awake. "What happened?" He asked the dancer. The lower nobody told him everything he wanted to know. "So Larxene took me in her room for some reason and I collapsed because of dealing with Roxas. Man that guy really knows how to hold a grudge." He turned to his friend. "I'm glad you're not like that Axel. Why is he being such a jerk to me? Why does he hate me? I don't get it?" Sighing he looked down at the ground and asked the dancer another question. "So all of you went to find the other members and it was Larxene who came?" He starred at Axel. "My dancer says that another came to you and Roxas and Roxas just shunned it and told you to come after me, but he remained not giving a damn about me. It must of been because he was concerned with Xion, but what if didn't have an excuse like that? He would of left me there. Geez if it was you in trouble Axel he would of come for you no doubt about it. Man, Roxas is one huge hypocrite and the funny thing is that like it or not, I'm going to be more involved in his life," he chuckled at his thought.

 

OOC: She's gonna be orangeish until Aerith dies.

Tifa sighed, looking up at the sky. She leaned back against the church, her long hair falling to the ground. Small wisps of it blew in the gentle breeze. Just missed them again....her heart ached. She knew exactly why Aerith had called for her, and why Cloud needed her. Sighing, she looked down at the ground. Now she had to find them.

Aerith looked down, clenching her hands. "No need to hurt other people through this." she murmured, her green eyes ever watchful. "You can't save me, Cloud. That's why Xion was scared. She watched me die, dozens of different ways. In the most recent dream.....It was you." her voice was the same, even quiet.

 

(OOC: Asterik, you wanted drama well you got it. :P)

"What are you talking about?" Cloud began to pace around the room and headed towards the room where Xion and Roxas slept. He was sick of this game. Walking into the room, he picked Xion up in his arms and placed her on the couch gentely. Hopefully she would be able to tell him. "I need to know what she said to you little one. If you care about Aerith you will tell me so I can prevent this all from happening. I'm not going to lose her."

Demyx watched his servant prance before him and he was proud that they were ever so loyal. He nodded his head as a few more dancers came into the room. They were his servants, always listening to their dramatic master more than anyone. "So when I left, I believe I left Cloud. I want you to go check on him and see how his friend is doing to, the one whom has brunette hair and a slash across his face and is supposely with Sora." He gave the command as two of them left. The dancer spotted Sora, but stayed away not wanting to get killed and made its way towards another house. There it spotted Leon lying on the ground unconscience. Matching the description given to it by the water wielding master, it picked him up and brought him back to the leige. When Demyx saw an unconscience Leon, he began to worry about what Cloud would think if he saw his friend out cold like that? Thinking quickly, he splashed the man and shook him hoping to wake him up.

 

Xion yawned, her blue eyes sleepy. "She didn't say anything. I saw it." she murmured, stretching. "Why do you keep thinking you can prevent it? There is no way to." Suddenly more awake, she went right up to Cloud and poked his chest. "Can't you see this is hurting her just as much as you? She didn't even want to tell you, but Zack insisted." She grimaced, getting dizzy and sitting down again. "Dammit, she's probably terrified, and you're making it worse."

 

Cloud wasn't going to stand for this. No one was telling him what was going to kill Aerith. "You don't understand. I want to know what it is that is going to kill Aerith so I can prevent it. If I don't know how can I save her? You said you saw it and I want to know what it was that you saw?" He asked trying not to lose his patience, but he was frusterated and no one was helping him help her. He blew some air from his mouth and tried to be more reasonable. "Do you understand what I'm saying? Surely you would feel the same if it was Roxas who was dying and you didn't know what could save him because you didn't know what it was that was killing him?" He hoped she would now answer his questions.

Demyx kneeled down to Leon's level and waited for him to wake up. "Do you know who did this to him?" He asked the dancer that shurgged its shoulders. "Great a lot of help that did."

 

Axel listened to Demyx spill all he knew of how he got into his predictiment especially with the dancer speaking in a way. All nobodies could understand their alien like langauge no matter what rank they were. He hesitated a bit when the mention of Roxas was soon flashed in his mind. How was he supposed to tell Demyx what Roxas thought of him. "I don't know, he is just bitter right now. Confused even. I am sure he just needs a break to think about what he is doing. I mean he just found out he might be a father that is a huge mission in his life now. His life has changed and he knows it. I don't know what to think of his attitude as of now. As I said just let him be," he sighed.

The flurry was not too comfortable in Larxene's room and wanted to take Demyx into his own room. He would in fact do that. "Demyx, you can go into your own room now! This just doesn't look right," he grimaced a bit observing him on her bed. He eyed Demyx was talking to his dancer and then froze when he in fact saw Leon as an ill feeling ran through his brain. "It is not a good idea to wake him up in here."

 

"Stop badgering her and let her sleep ..you heard her already, your making things worse." Roxas said, stepping into the room. He wasn't completely out when he entered the room, and he had some nerve snatching a girl out of her room like that out of selfishness.

 

Xion groaned, acting like a normal teenage girl. "I saw you come up behind her, and stab her. I watched the light leave her eyes, watched you realize what you had done. Then it changed and Sephiroth did it, then I did it, then Axel, then Demyx, then Leon. Don't you get it? The future is set in some ways and not in others. She has to die, but who does it changes all the time. You can't stop it! If you save her from Sephiroth, or his heartless, then the next day someone will shoot her when she goes to her garden. She is going to die, Cloud, just let her go." She smiled slightly at Roxas behind her, then backed up toward him.

 

Cloud's hands were trembling with rage that he was surpressing and doing his best not to show it, but it was clearly visable. He couldn't believe his ears. Him? He killed Aerith and then others he knew? It didn't make any sense at all? He tried to concentrate on all of the information and took shallow breaths to absorb this information. "What? I would never kill Aerith and she knows that. How dare you say such a thing. Leon would never kill her and either would my other friend and..." he froze thinking of Leon now. Pushing buttons on his comlink, he sent a message to Leon wondering if he was all right? " No Aerith is not going to die like you say she is. She's not being hunted down and I don't understand how you know this? We're all going to die so what makes you think she will go first? How do you know it won't be Roxas? Would you just accept it if it was him whose was going to bite the dust? Would you!"

Demyx hearing Axel's words lost his train of throught when saw a light blinking on Leon's comlink and he rose the man's arm to read it. He saw that the message was from Cloud. Hitting any button he could he answered it speaking into the comlink. "Cloud, this is Demyx. Leon can't answer right now."

Cloud heard Demyx's voice and he placed his own comlink close to his mouth to answer. "Demyx, Aerith is coming where I am at. Tell Leon this. I'm going to keep a close eye on her. I'm not going to lose her. Come get me and her."

 

"Exactly, Cloud ..we're all going to die, some sooner than others ..and Aerith is apparently going to be the first.And is this how you'll let her remember you?A guy who couldn't accept that she died, and was more focused on locking her up somewhere rather than spending time with her and asking things you never knew..?" Roxas stepped behind Xion and put his arms on Xion's shoulders.It was a real shame Cloud couldn't accept this.

And people called Roxas stubborn ..yet here was this full grown man in this room throwing a tantrum.

"Xion may not like the idea of me dying ..but she'll accept it in the end. And you ..you can't let Aerith pass and move on to a better place? She said she could visit you more than Zack could, didn't she? So she's not leaving you forever ..she'll always be with you." and if that didn't get to him, then my god adults were complete idiots.

 

Axel was getting quite annoyed that Demyx was ignoring him to talk with Cloud again. He had seen the link flashing, but it wasn't his call to answer it. There seem to be some drama on the other end and the flame dancer wasn't going to let his friend get on the other end. Or leave him alone again. No this time they needed to have an serious talk. The red head needed to protect himself and pulled Demyx by the arm roughly. "You are not going anywhere, you just woke up. How do I know that you won't fall down again? Right now you are an danger to yourself." He narrowed his eyes a bit to let him know he was serious about not letting him go.

 

Cloud was not going to let this go. He was concerned and what Roxas had mentioned made him only more angry with the teenager. "Look you know if Xion was in the same situation you would refuse to accept her death. You would do everything in your power to save her right? Well that's how I feel about Aerith. I'm not going to listen to your bull about just accepting her death when I know I can prevent it by keeping her safe. No one is going to get in my way of protecting her not you not Xion, no one. Got it? I'm going to be around more often for that's what Zack wants and he told me to look after her, Xion and my friend Demyx regardless what you think. When the baby is born I will even help with him or her so if you have a problem with me then you're going to have to settle with me later for I don't have the time or patience to deal with you right now. I know in my heart what I'm doing is right and this is what Zack would want." He repostioned Aerith in his arms to make her more comfortable after picking her up once more and looked for a portal to depart. Bringing his arm to his mouth he spoke into his comlink and turned his volume to one of the highest settings. "Damn it Demyx get over here. I can't get out of here without you."

Demyx was touched by Axel's concern, but he needed to help his other friend as well especially after he heard Cloud's voice on the comlink. "Cloud I'll be there when I can. I'm talking to Axel right now. Can you give me five or ten minutes at least?" He knew Cloud was upset, but he wasn't going to just leave either. "If Roxas is there with you, tell him that Axel is here to and that I'll talk to him when I get the chance. I know he doesn't hate me like he says he does for he is just upset, but he has no idea what I have been through either. Tell him holding grudges is not going to help Xion or her baby and I'm going to help as much as possible. Who knows maybe I can get Roxas a job? I actually have one too. He is going to need one especially if he is going to support the baby," he told Cloud all of this information.

"I hope you got all that," Cloud replied to Roxas. "And he has a point for you're going to have to find some way to get a job that pays decent to support Xion, yourself and your child and good luck with finding one for no one is hiring. I looked myself."

 

"...You know, I'll never know what Zack or Aerith see in you.Yeah, if Xion died, I'd be hurt, but she wouldn't want me crying about it forever.I'd know, we talked.No, your not getting anywhere near my child with that attitude either, so stop trying to act like the big tough guy you 'think' you are and get real here. Aerith is going to pass away one way or another, maybe a Heart Attack, maybe a Virus, point is, it'll happen.Idiots like you tend to assume things because you can't stand to be proven wrong, even a little.Aerith isn't your prisoner, she's your friend, and your doing a lousy job of being one in return." Roxas finished, rolling his eyes as he heard Demyx voice yet again. Was there never a break!?

When Xion and him moved, he wouldn't give the location away freely..for sure.

"This isn't about Demyx and this isn't about a job, its about how selfish your acting right now. Your not the one dying, Aerith is, and she can accept it.You can't, you know why? Because your selfish. She's going to die one way or another, you can't prevent disease, a heart attack, or a virus.Things happen." he finished, looking towards Aerith now. He smiled at her, seeing as her and Xion were the only reasons to smile in the room.Cloud was the village idiot of Hollow Bastion it seemed."Aerith ..whether or not this lousy excuse of a man accepts your death ..I want to spend some time with you before it happens, and I'm sure Xion does too."

 

Cloud ignored everything Roxas ranted about it for it seemed that he knew everything. Adults were idiots? No it was the other way around in his book. Roxas just didn't understand and Cloud would have to prove that he meant business. He was sick of trying to reason with this guy and if using force was the only means to make Sora's nobody shut his mouth about what he was going to do and insult him in the way he did, then Cloud would show him a thing or two. Narrowing his eyes at Roxas, he towered the short shrimp glaring down at him. "You don't know what you're talking about and don't you mention my friend's name like you know him better than I do. I've surived more hell then what you've ever gone through so keep your damn mouth shut." He wasn't going to run either for Cloud had pride and would fight this guy if he had to. The darkness inside of him was beginning to show through his eyes as he looked at Roxas like an enemy. "You think you know everything don't you? You make it sound like it's defintely going to happen which means you want it to I bet so you can have Xion to yourself without having to share her with Aerith. Instead of being her friend, you want her to just pass on and forget about her. Well I'm not going to just stand around and wait for it to happen. You're not going near her you got that?"

Demyx was hearing the whole conversation through the comlink and had a feeling a fight was going to break out. "Roxas you're going to get your @ss kicked if you don't step down. Cloud will not back down for anyone especially if it for those that he cares about. If you care about Xion you will stop this. Don't make me come over there and stop you myself," Demyx spoke through the comlink again while shaking his head. "Geez Roxas why do you have to be so stubborn? Let it go already. Cloud is going to do what Zack whats him to do so accept it."

 

Axel rolled his eyes when he saw that Demyx had once again averted his attention to communicating with Cloud. Boy this nobody really had his priorites screwed up now. He heard part of the conversation and couldn't believe how stubborn Cloud was being over losing Aerith. He couldn't blame how Roxas was feeling right now. He was surprised that his friend hadn't lashed out at the warrior yet because would step in if he wasn't speaking with Demyx. He thought that the Cloud would just accept it. "You can't control the future or anything and if it happens then hopefully she goes without any pain. If she didn't want to accept it then that is different. Even if one could control such events then terrible things might happen." "Demyx, listen to me, who is more important? Someone that you have known for a long time or your new best friend?" Axel seem almost hurt that the noturne's attention had dragged away from him again and he was beginning to become resentful of this Cloud character.
