A Scattered Dream

"Ok? If I were Axel where would I take Xion?" Demyx searched the rooms one by one until he finally found her. "Xion, are you all right? You're not hurt are you?" he walked past Axel and sat with her on the bed.

 

Xion smiled happily. "I'm alright." she whispered. "My voice is gone though." She gestured toward her throat. "Are you alright?" she asked, looking him over for injuries.

 

Xemnas sent 2 Twilight Thorns after Sora. Xemnas then left to go see how the other nobodies were doing.

Sora saw the Twilight Thorns. "Give me a break."

 

Xion felt apprehensive, just as the dead feeling came back. "Demyx you have to get out of here!" she whispered. "He's coming." She wasn't sure Axel would let him go, but she had to try.

 

Xemnas walked into tha castle. "Time to find the young ones." Xemnas went to find the other nobodies.

 

Xion felt panic, and she couldn't tell if it was her own, or smeone else's. "Axel, please hide Demyx. Please" she whispered.

"Sora, we can't keep this up." Kairi panted.

 

"We've gotta run to the gummi ship. Quick! Let's go!" Sora took Kairi's hand and ran to the gummi ship.

 

Kairi followed Sora close behind.

 

Sora jumped to the gummi ship controls. "Kairi, ready for a bumpy ride?"

 

Axel looked at the melodious nocturne and shook his head. "The boss would find him anyway. You and him must stay here and if you don't I will be forced to go after you again."

Gasping and not believing what he was hearing he began to panic. "No you don't mean that. Crap he's in the castle already!" Demyx sensed Xemnas's presense. "I'm doomed."

 

Xemnas walked up to Axel. "Well done, Axel. And Sora has been held off. Now we must wait and observe. How is she?" Xemnas said and looked down at Xion.

 

"Eh..." he shrugged his shoulders. "She can be better. She's been asking me to hide Demyx though," his cruel eyes starred at the younger member. "Demyx is all she ever talks about right now. It must be because he helped her try to get away or maybe it was how she was being carried in his arms? Anyway, you should deal with him, but no killing or turning him into a dusk all right?" he shoved Demyx forward onto the boss.

 

"What? Hey!" He pouted and crossed his arms stubbornly until he felt his body being pushed forward. Falling to his knees, he stood up and looked for a way to escape. He could not face Xemnas right now especially not in front of Xion or Axel.

 

"I give you my word Axel, Demyx will not be harmed. But he will learn where his loalties should lie. All this because Xion refused to follow me. I meant no harm. We must plan our next move."

 

"Good and take him with you so he doesn't try to run away again. I will stay here with Xion. He will never learn," he seized Demyx by the back of his hood and shoved him back to Xemnas. "Make it hurt too," Axel touched under the ninth member's chin before letting go after he gentely smacked him in the face. "This is for your own good Demyx."

 

Feeling like a punching bag in the breeze, he dropped his mouth open being appalled by the cruel words. "Oh come on... This isn't fair," he complained. "I just ran away; so what? The boss was to hurting Xion and I needed to protect her and this is what I get? Did I miss something here?"

 

"Xion was never in danger except from Sora and his allies. And sending her away and alone was reckless and foolish. Also disobeying me is seen as teason against the organization." Xemnas then began to shoot darkness bolts at Demyx. "I hope this teaches you I will not stand for disobediance."

 

Demyx knelt to the ground, his body inflicted with pain that was insufferable. "Yeow! I was doing you a favor boss! I didn't want her to keep running away from us. I would never betray the organization. You didn't need to hurt her which is why I interfered. I thought you were going to kill her. She doesn't understand what is going on and she is scarred from hounding her and scared to death of you," he gritted his teeth tears spewing from his eyes. "Xion needs a friend who she can trust and I seem to be the most friendly in this organization. He tried to get up. "Ok so I ran, but other then that I didn't do anything wrong."
