A Scattered Dream

Tears spilled out of Xion's eyes. "You don't get it!" she said. "I'm not like you. Any of you! I'm different, I don't belong here. Even if I am eliminated, whatever waits for me after that has to be where I belong." She wiped angrily at her face. Why did she have to cry right now? She took a shaky breath, trying to calm down as Axel touched her shoulder, and Demyx patted her back. "I'm not human, but I'm not a nobody either. I feel things, emotions. Someone out there may know what I am, or why I have the keyblade." She stood up, wondering if she was strong or quick enough to escape from them.

 

Demyx understood from where she was coming from for he also felt these phantom feelings making him one of the black sheep of the organization so to speak."Xion we don't want you to get hurt. Even if you feel this way you're still one of us. I defended you because I didn't like what the boss was doing to you. That was cruel and not called for, but in the end I can't defy the organization because you saw what happened when I did. I'm not a traitor and either are you. We just have to accept this fate and make the best of it," he said sadly hoping she would listen to him a bit.

 

Xion turned to both of them, memorizing their faces. "I can't make the best of it." she whispered, backing out of the room. She ran down the hall, trying to find an exit, a window, some way of getting out of here.

Xemnas tripped Xion as she ran out the door. "You really are a handful, child." Xemnas picked her up. "How many times will I have to do this?"

"Let me GO!" Xion glared at Xemnas. "Why would you need me anyway? I'm not a nobody." She struggled, trying to get free.

 

"You are a way the organization can fufill it's dream. But if you continue to be a threat I may have to lock you up."

 

"It's dream?..." Xion faltered, then summoned the Keyblade and slashed at him. "No! I won't be used by you anymore!"

 

Xemnas dodged Xion's attacks. "If that's how you want it." Xemnas summond his energy blades and slashed Xion down.

 

Xion cried out, blocking most of the attacks with the keyblade. It burned, and she fell to her knees. She still hadn't recovered from the last attack. It was better then being kept against her will.

Axel could hear Xion screaming and immediately he went to see what was going on. The sight he saw was horrible as he saw her on her knees. It seem that she was hurt as well. He couldn't figure it out. "Xion, what the hell are you doing?" He picked her up in his arms and then saw Xemnas with his energy blades out. "I.... what happened?" He asked the superior.

 

"She struck at me. I had to defend myself. Axel, she's too dangerous to be allowed to roam the castle. Take her to the dungeon."

 

Axel was at a loss of words, but knew that he didn't want to disobey the superior either. The worse thing you could do is betray him and then end up being eliminated. "Yes, sir, do you really think that is necessary. I mean she is still new after all. Can you tell me why she would attack you?" He tried to reason with him hoping he would reconsider his decision.

 

"She tried to escape. I tried to stop her and she attacked. Until she learns the way we work she will stay in the cell."

 

Axel sighed as he looked at Xion and began walking down towards the dungeon. He hesitately unlocked the cell and placed her in gently. Then slammed the door locking the key and placing it in his pocket. He felt really guilty and knew that she probably hate him for doing this. "I am sorry....." he said softly to her as he looked away and headed back where the superior would reside."Why would she do this?" He asked him.

 

"I'm not really sure. We to convince her to aid us in our persuit to rebuild Kingdom Hearts. Using Riku as a pawn is helping but we could use help from Xion to collect more hearts."

 

Xion curled up in her cell. It was cold and dark, but she didn't care. For some reason her chest hurt, and she wasn't sure it had to do with Xemnas' attacks. She cried, keeping her sobs muffled, her small shoulders shaking.

 

Riku felt someone talk about it...and not in a good way. 'Probally Xemnas. That *******.'

 

Axel listened to Xemnas though he didn't like Xion being a prisoner like that. It wasn't fair, but he had no choice in the matter. "So why would she behave like this. Could it be from her memories?"
