A World At War

"R-right!" He stuttered, running after her.

Ioaness was looking outside of a small window, watching a few of his students walk out in front of the building. They're close...

 

"Close!" He shouted, seeing the building up ahead. Zander tugged on Sera's hand to force her to stop. "Damn it..." He's testing me. Zander thought, noticing several people waiting outside the building. "This is going to hurt..." He muttered, letting go of her and walking slowly ahead of her as he twirled his sword in his other hand.

 

"Just let me handle things. Shouldn't take more than a few seconds..." Or minutes... He added in his thoughts. Zander walked a little faster, approaching two males that were about his age that were wielding longswords of the same make as Zander's. "Outta my way." Zander ordered. The two males raised their swords and shook their heads. Oh great... In a blur of motion, Zander disarmed both of them and knocked them back with powerful gusts of wind, preparing to fight the other students that soon surrounded him. Why me? I always get in some kind of mess...

 

Zander took the opportunity to tackle his nearest opponent, bashing him in the head with his own and knocking him out, as well as making Zander a bit dizzy. He stood up and shot out a gust of wind at a group of people, sending three of them flying back. This isn't going out so bad! I might do this without taking a single hi- He thoughts were interrupted as he suddenly was sent flying directly towards the building and through the wall.

"I was waiting for you." Ioaness mumbled, looking down at Zander who was getting up to his feet right beside him.

"That hurt..." He mumbled, looking out of the undamaged window to see that Ioaness's students were backing away.

 

"Nothing! Just...errr...You can pass! Get over here. I might need to explain some things to you." Zander called out to her, motioning for Sera to come closer as he brushed himself off and looked at Ioaness for a few moments. "You didn't have to throw me through a wall you know..." He whispered to Ioaness.

"I know that." He simply replied.

 

Zander rubbed his shoulder with his free hand while the other sheathed his sword. "This..." He pointed at Ioaness. "Is Ioaness. He taught me how to use my powers but..."

"This boy thought he could grow stronger by trying to learn on his own and becoming a bounty hunter. He quit his training early." Ioaness finished.

He shot a cold look at Ioaness for a second before continuing. "He can train us...teach us things...Those..." He pointed at the people outside. "Are just some of his students." Which were easily beaten by me. He confidently thought. "Ioaness has a lot of experience so I thought we might as well come here."
