"relax, i'm here." Cloud walked through the door

 

vance wipped around at the sound of cloud's voice.
"where were you?"

 

"i fell asleep in the waiting room." Cloud answered

 

"i see"
vance turned back around to look at ren.
"if you're feeling okay then i'm going to head back to the house. rose wants to know how you're doing."

 

Ren nodded. "okay."
Cloud leaned against the wall. "see you around."

 

"yea"
vance gave cloud a two-finger wave.
"i'll be back later."
he walked out of the room into the hospital hallway.

 

Cloud closed his eyes. "need anything?"
Ren shook his head. "i'll be fine"

 

vance walked out of the hospital back to his house to see rose.

 

Ren closed his eyes and fell asleep.

 

rose sat in the kitchen anxiously awaiting vance's return.
when he ran past the window she jumped out and flew the door open.
"how is he?! is he going to be all right?"

vance wrapped is arms around her brought her back inside.
"he's going to be just fine rose."

 

Cloud left. a few hours passed and someone else entered.

 

rose sat down on the couch with vance as he held her.
"do you know when ren will be released?"

vance looked down at her.
"i have no idea at all. it can't be too long from now though."
he smiled in her hair.
"i know you wont want to hear this, but i'm going to have to head back to camp soon and check up on things."

 

Ren opened his eyes to see who entered. he was shocked to see who it was.

 

rose didn't want vance to go but she knew she cudn't keep him.
she took a deep breath.
"all right."

vance kissed her forehead and stood up.
"i'm sorry. i'll be home when i can."

"don't push yourself too hard. i know you'll be back when you get a chance so you don't have to rush for my sake."

vance smiled and then opened the door to walk out.

 

"hello kid." Sephiroth stood at the foot of the bed. he closed and locked the door.

 

vance walked peacefully to the camp.
there's nothing wrong with taking my time, right?

 

Ren was still surprised. "why did you come here?"
Sephiroth smirked. "it's not to kill you if that's what you're thinking."

 

vance entered the camp and looked around.
he saw all the damage that had been done after he, cloud, and ren left.
looks like sephiroth got the place good.we might need to concider relocating the camp to a place he doesn't know the whereabouts of.
vance sighed.

 

Sephiroth sat in a chair beside the bed. "i want you to join me."
Ren froze. "w-what?"
"you heard me." Sephiroth got a serious look. he layed a card on a nearby table. "i got a phone. call me with your answer." he walked out

 

vance walked around and tried to clean up the camp a bit while he assessed the damage.
"this place was hit pretty bad."
he sighed as he cleaned.
