The rules of your challenge, which you made, were based on the assumption that an english patch was available. According to your OP it is not. The rules are flawed.

 

Most of it is either the same or can be muddled through easily enough. There are translation guides for what you simply don't get at all. This is the one I use most when I play

You'll quickly learn what everything means. I found it more fun to learn what was what by myself than use a translation guide. I even had a wee book with my translations in it. xD
