Heath was at the back of the hall,hidden partially in the shadows,grinning as he listened to his grandfather give rules about this evenings...party.

"No smoking...No taking drugs...No sneaking off to do things...No Alcohol..."

 

"No alcohol?, Jeez, we are young adults and we aren't even aloud some booze?! Pathetic!" Nick huffed a bit too loudly.

 

Heath gave a little whistle to get Nick's attention,he pulled a little clear bottle out of his pocket,the light hitting the lable at the right moment,Vodka

 

Nick smiled as he read the name on the bottle, he gave Heath a thumbs up. Perhaps this little 'ball' wouldn't be so bad after all.

 

Heath grinned tucking it back inside his pocket

"Well...thats it...have fun.."

 

Maya looked at Nick, "Care to dance?"

"No!" He glanced over at Heath, "I'm..er..busy!" He hurried away

 

"Ooooh Harsh..."He grinned turning so no one could see him unfasten the cap

Felica narrowed her eyes at them,Heath had been acting....different the past few weeks.

 

"Well....duty calls..." He noticed Felica looking they're way, "Your sis is giving you the evil eye..."

Maya's shoulders slumped as she moved up next to Felica. "Boys...I swear..."

 

"What? Oh she always does that..."

"Tell me about it..."

 

Nick looked back and noticed Maya mimicking Felica. "Oh great, she's recruiting members now..."

"Does Heath always act like this?"

 

"Ignore 'em...they can have they're crappy little non-alcoholic juice while we have fun."He said taking a drink

"What? act like a d*ck? Yes. well....No....I mean he does sometimes...but more than recently..."

 

Eden wandered up to Felicia, "Have any of you seen Devlin? I can't find him."

Devlin threw his arms around Heath and Nick, his breath reaking of strong alcohol, "Hey, guys...how's the party? Anybody else got somethin' to drink, or some crackers? I've got the munchies."

 

"Sorry Eden...no...wait...is that Him with those two?"

Heath grinned and showed him the bottle of vodka

 

"Oh brother!"

 

Devlin grinned, "Nice." he grabbed the bottle and took a quick shot. The liquid burned down his throat but he grinned at them, "Someone should get this party started."

Eden scowled, "Figures. He's been acting wierd since this dance started. Mumbling about it being lame or something and that he'd make it better. Not that I have a clue as to what that means."

 

He grinned "Its like the party my parents threw for me and my sister when we turned 7...pathetic..."

"When they said 'dark angels' I dont think they meant turn into a bunch of booze drinking idiots."

 

"Should we stop them? or should we let them get in trouble?"

 

"Let them Get into trouble I say....the less we have to do with...the less we know..."

 

He dug in his pocket and pulled out a silver flask, "You guys ever try scotch? Some good stuff." His mood died slightly, "You got a party when you turned 7? My dad died when I was 7. Not a good day. But...I discovered the magical healing powers of alcohol. Shhh, don't tell Eden, she thinks I'm a good student." He mock whispered and started to laugh.

Eden glowered at Devlin's back, "Is he serious? He's going to start the school year off drinking? I've honestly never seen this side of him before."

 

"Well, I know Nick is responsible enough to not drin-" She stopped when she noticed Nick take a swig of booze. "Insert Face Palm here"
