Heath huffed a sigh,glancing back at his sister

 

""Or so you were told"?"

 

he nodded.."I dont completely trust him..."

 

"Well, I can't blame you there.." Rita replied, half expecting the head to appear out of nowhere

 

he nodded turning the corner

 

Eliza walked down the corridor her head hung low for a change, this new system was really annoying her and she felt bad about not doing anything.

 

Nick noticed Eliza in the distance, and wondered why she looked so down

"Oh, Eliza!" Rita exclaimed as she noticed her walking down the corridor.

 

She looked up and smiled, "Oh hey Rita. You alright?"

 

"Yeah, what brings down this way?"

 

"Nothing really, it's just better than sitting doing nothing" Eliza said, breathing deeply.

 

Devlin frowned, he could've sworn he saw someone walk this way. He sat down on the grass and stroked the dragon tattoo that crept over his neck onto his cheek. He felt someone's eyes on him as he sat, "You know, it's not polite to stare." he said to whomever was hiding.

Eden followed along with a slight tremble in her step. Her body shook more the further she followed Ashley.

Sorcha let Devlin leave her side and continued on into the school. She had classes to teach, people to be bitter at, places to spred her inner malice.

 

Lucas slowly walked out from the trees, "Sorry, you startled me" His voice had returned to its usual calm.

 

Devlin gave a halfhearted smile, "That's kinda the reason I broke that stick. I didn't realize you were so jumpy. So, why are you out here instead of inside with the others?"

 

Lucas smiled, "Well, you can never be too careful. And I could ask the same question."

 

Devlin laughed, "I don't like crowds. My mother's there too. She expects something of me, just because I'm a dark angel like her." He winced as he spoke, remembering how she called his father weak because he was light.

 

"Yeah, I just needed to get away from it all, work things out in my head. So, you're dark? You happy about that?" Lucas asked, quite curious.

 

Devlin slowly shook his head, "No...my girlfriend is light. I should be there to protect her, make sure she gets along okay. But i'm not." He stood up, "We can't chang who we are. so what if I'm more like my mother. I'll always protect Eden even if it's from myself."

 

Lucas smiled he liked him, "Yeah, I know what you mean, go for it, stand up for what you believe. I got dark today as well and well, I'm probably not the goodest or kindest person around but last time I checked I wasn't that bad, I'm not evil"

 

Devlin looked at the boy and let one of his smiles loose, "I'm Devlin, Devlin Coran. But you can call me Dev." He stretched out his hand

 

Lucas smirked as he took Delvin's hand, "Lucas Blade, at your service"
