    In fact, lots of places say the week starts on Monday. Hence why Saturday and Sunday are called the weekEND.

    Here in Brazil we say the first day of the week is Sunday (Domingo), the second is Monday (Segunda-feira [segunda means second]), then Tuesday (Terça-feira [Terça means third]) and so on until Saturday (Sábado).

    When I say "fim de semana" (weekend), I mean Sabado (Saturday) and Domingo (Sun). I don't know why since Sun is the first day of the week.

    ...Your calender starts the week on Sat, right? O.o
