    Here's the VMC link.

Yup, apparently this is a confirmed legit offer, just so people who think game testing is lots of fun can be proven wrong (for money!)

Here are the main requirements it seems:

I applied. This is practically my dream job right now, if I could just stay home while working and playing games.

I miss something? I know it's not as great as people make it out to be, but it beats pushing carts through target and dealing with people all the time when they can't use common sense

    Well, let me check
What does the idea of doing Let's Plays sound like to you?

Honestly? Not too terrible an idea. I mean, I probably wouldn't be the best, which is why if I ever got a capture card, I'd probably just do a normal walkthrough instead of a let's play, but if I ever played a game that didn't have any cutscenes or voices of any kind...maybe.

I'm talking like, how do you think it would affect the way you play games, how hard do you think it'd be?

Not much different. I mean, a lot of let's players show 100% of games and such, but not everyone does, and it only effects the way you play if you want it to.
...And suddenly I'm getting a feeling of Deja Vu

Well, as long as you know the job you're getting into, try and enjoy.
Wondering about the pay or lack there of for opportunities.
    Hmm looking at careers...
Wow, Slough, that's the closest game industry place to me i've yet seen, literally 15 minutes away. Saddening it's not really something i'm interested in, especially considering the depressing nature of the repetitive tasks from what i've heard.

If I'm correct, not only do game testers play the game, but there also there to document any problems the game as aquired, right? Like bugs, corrupted data and things like that. But I agree, as long as you know the pay and understand the terms of what you're trying tonswim in, have fun. ~

Yeah, I have a friend who has a friend that's a game tester apparently who's supposed to check the menu during the game every time something new happens to make sure it works fine. And she gets paid something like $10/hr or so, if I'm not wrong.

I only really have a PC and a 3DS that i can do, since I don't have online capabilities for my 360, and I'm not really interested in paying for it just for a job, especially since I don't play or own any games that have any use for online stuff

Yo, being a tester is rough. I had a friend who did it and it made playing video games feel like work for him. You don't just play the game normally, they want you to try hundreds of things with each area to make sure everything loaded. Yeah, not happening.

I have a 360 online access but I don't have a computer and that's what they wanted. If it required a DSi or Ps2 instead I'd b happy xD

Yeah, I'm hoping I can get it. I'm not counting my lucky stars, but if they at least contacted me I'd be grateful. I doubt I'd be able to quit target with it, especially since these things are sometimes contract jobs, so there's a time limit, but I'd make more money at the same time. So I'm really praying. I just worry that because of only having 2 things out of all the options to play on, it'll keep them from contacting me

I've never met a personal that owned more then two systems, not including a computer, so I wouldn't stress on it. I would be in the same boat as well, just a call or email would make me feel good that they looked into me. I'll pray for you as well. C: And you're right with Target, you just never know and its better to be safe.

I had a friend in Nevada that, at the time, had all of the game systems from N64 to Gamecube, and everything inbetween. And that's with game consoles, he even had all the gameboys.

Edit: Holy crap, I actually got an email saying I was eligible candidate. I did not see that one coming. Although it says that their main focus right now is an Xbox One project, so once again, not good for me. Not only would that cost me $500 just for the system, but more for the membership, all of which I don't have...plus I'm a playstation person as well

That's good! That sucks about the Xbox one though, but I can see why. Its suppost toutplay the ps4 and have way better graphics. Or some stuff xd

I don't care about better graphics, I just like more games that are only on the playstation, and the Xbox One doesn't exactly have the Playstation Now so I can get all my favorite oldie games
