Oh my freaking GOSH! I just read The 14th Key (to catch up with this one cause I found this one first) and then I read to where you left off on this one and... This is completely amazing! Of course, through the entire story I thought that Xed and Roxas were gonna get together, and then that all fell apart with Rose and Violet and... *sighs with frustration* THIS IS THE MOST SUSPENSEFUL STORY I HAVE EVER READ!!

Bad Moon Arising Ch 10

Sorry for taking so long :) I had a bit of writers block, but now everything's ok!


~Chapter 10~

It was 7:31 p.m., and all the Organization members, along with Xed who had been invited, were all eating dinner in silence. The nine Nobodies who were in on the Vampire’s scheme kept exchanging nervous glances with each other throughout the meal. It was nearing the next day, Friday, and they still had no idea what they were going to do. Unfortunately for them, Xaldin had noticed them.
“What’s going on?” he asked, finally having enough of the nervous looks. Xemnas nodded.
“Yes, what is going on? No one has talked whatsoever this entire evening. I want to know what is wrong, and I want to know it now.” He demanded. Roxas cleared his throat.
“Umm, I have something to say.” He said, standing up from his seat. Axel, Demyx, and Xed gave him a don’t-say-it look, while the other six simply stared at him. Xemnas raised an eyebrow.
“Well, Number XIII?” Roxas smiled nervously.
“I do have something to say…” he repeated. “Right when I come back. May I be excused?” Xemnas nodded slowly, and Roxas quickly walked away from the table. Xigbar shook his head and chuckled.

“Weird kid.”

Roxas walked upstairs and up into his room. He sat down on his bed. He sighed.

We can’t keep this a secret any longer. He thought.

This is getting dangerous. They need to know. Even though we have Xed here to fight with us, we’re gonna need the other’s help too.

Although him leaving the table bought him and the others a little time, he’d still have to go back down there sometime.

Click.

Roxas looked over to his door, where he heard his door click. He walked over and jiggled the doorknob.

It was locked.

Roxas grunted in annoyance.

One of the other members must be playing a stupid prank on him by locking the door.

Roxas tried to summon a Corridor of Darkness, but he couldn’t. He started to panic.

No one in the Castle has the ability to stop another from making a portal.

“Having fun in there, Roxy?” Someone whose voice Roxas couldn’t recognize said.
“Who are you?” Roxas asked, more like demanded. The voice laughed evilly.
“Name’s Violet.”
“Open the door!!” Roxas shouted, now angered by this stranger. Violet laughed again.
“Sure, I’ll open it…as soon as I’m done running your life.” He said, walking away from the door. Roxas shook the doorknob hard.

“LET ME OUT!!!!!”

Violet, still in Roxas’ form, walked back into the kitchen, to face the 13 anxiously waiting Nobodies. He smiled, careful to not show his fangs.
“I believe I had something to say.” He said. Lexaeus crossed his arms.
“Well?” he said, impatiently. Violet looked over at Xed.
“Actually, it’s about Xed.” He said. Xed seemed surprised, along with everyone else. Axel leaned over towards Demyx.
“Do you think he’s gonna tell her?” he whispered. Demyx shrugged. Violet cleared his throat.
“I, Roxas, would like to tell you, Xed,” he paused, smiling deviously at her.

“That I absolutely hate you.”

Everyone was shocked, their mouths dropped open at Roxas’ harsh words. Axel, Demyx, and Luxord looked mortified. Xed looked heartbroken. Violet looked satisfied.

“I’ve hated you since the day that we met.” He continued. “And I was ecstatic the day that you left, for I’d never have to see you again. But of course, you ruined that with your return. Your return was not welcome in my eyes, and, quite frankly, I want you to leave, and never come back again.”

With a satisfied smirk, Violet turned and left the room without another word.

The stillness and silence was so thick in the room, it couldn’t even be cut with a knife.

(Roughly two minutes before Violet said what he said)

Roxas, having finally coming to his senses, unlocked the door with his Keyblade and started running towards the kitchen.

(Roughly 10 seconds after Violet said what he said)

Roxas walked into the kitchen as calmly as possible, trying to not show he had been running. When he walked in, he noticed everyone’s shocked expressions directed up at him.
“What’s up?” he asked, confused. Xed then stood up, and walked over towards him.
“If you didn’t want me here all you had to do was say so.” She snarled, before walking out of the room quickly, brushing past him roughly. He stood there, mouth open, in complete confusion.
“What was that about?” he asked, turning back to the other members. Axel put a hand to his temple.
“Man, did you blow it or what…” he said snidely. Roxas raised an eyebrow.
“What are you talking about?”
“What do you mean ‘What are you talking about?’!?” Xigbar said, crossing his arms. “You just went off on Xed!” Roxas’ face paled.
“W-what d-d-did I s-say?” he stuttered, in fright.
“Basically said you hated her and never wanted to see her again.” Luxord said. Roxas’ eyes widened.

Oh…my…—

“XED!!!” Roxas shouted, turning and running out of the kitchen.

But it was too late.

The door was open.

Xed left.

And something told Roxas that she wouldn’t be coming back…

“Great job, Love.”

Violet, now back in his own form, nodded, seeming a little zone-out. Rose walked over to him and linked arms with him.
“What’s amiss?” she asked. He shook his head.
“It’s nothing.” Rose smiled.
“Good. Now that you’ve done your part, it’s time to do mine.” She said, smirking evilly. “Our revenge is almost complete.”

“Your.”

Rose looked up at Violet, in confusion.
“What?”
“Your.” He repeated. “Your revenge is almost complete. Not mine.” Without another word, he pulled away from Rose and vanished, leaving a very confused Vampire Nobody behind.
