    8 years? I think you mean 15.
    NAFTA. look it up.
Barack Obama hasn't done a damn thing(an effective thing, anyway.) As of now, the Nobel Peace Prize means nothing to me.

Well considering Bush was in there for 8 years...that's true. And if you revisit some history textbooks you'll see that it takes more time to clean up a mess than to make it. The economy is getting better than it has but VERY SLOWLY!

But seriously guys. It hasn't even been a year yet. And at least you can say he hasn't done any damage yet.

You know. I'm really sick of debating with people who have absolutely no faith in anything. If you think that God or Science or whatever you believe in will let America fall into ruins by 1 president then I pity you.

America survived Bush. If you think we can't survive Obama (not saying that he's a bad president) then you probably think the world also wont survive global warming.

I saw somewhere that Obama himself believes he doesn't deserve the award. I personally think it hasn't been long enough. We need to wait and see if he will live up to his promises, and I believe he will. I've got faith in him.

I don't really have an opinion on him at the moment, as I haven't really seen him do anything. But if there are people out there that have done stuff to actually deserve this, then yea. That isn't right :/

Too soon, to say the very least. I dislike the idea of Nobel prizes being handed out as encouragements.

I completely agree, he should have actually made some kind of visable difference before being awarded, and I also believe that there are people out there who are more deserving of the prize. However, Obama has tried to help international relations and I respect him for that. I hope that in the future he can prove he is deserving of the accolade.

Science is not a deity. It has no will of its own. Science is the study of the world. It can help America as much as the fearsome God Mathematics can.

It really irritates me when people think that science is a force to be believed in like god.

I think when people say "thank science", they say it as more of a joke. I know some atheists who jokingly exclaim "Thank science!" when they're happy about something.
