Beauty and the Pokemon (Beauty and the Beast/Pokemon Crossover)

Umm, yeah. The following is what happens when I get a lack of sleep, have an obsession with Pokemon, and decide to re-watch "Beauty and the Beast." Basically, it's the prologue and the song "Belle" adapted into the Pokemon universe. Enjoy (or don't)!

Once upon a time, in a faraway land called Kalos,​

A young Pokemon trainer lived in a shining castle.​

Although he had everything his heart desired,​

The trainer was spoiled, selfish, and unkind.​

​

But then, one winter's night,​

An old beggar woman came to the castle​

And offered him a single Rose​

In return for shelter from the bitter cold.​

Repulsed by her haggard appearance,​

The trainer sneered at the gift,​

And turned the old woman away.​

​

But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances,​

For Beauty is found within.​

​

And when he dismissed her again,​

The old woman's ugliness melted away​

To reveal herself as the legendary Pokemon Mew​

​

The trainer tried to apologize, but it was too late,​

For she had seen that there was no love in his heart.​

And as punishment,​

She transformed him into a hideous Pokemon beast,​

And placed a powerful spell on the castle,​

And all who lived there.​

​

Ashamed of his monstrous form,​

The beast concealed himself inside his castle,​

With a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world.​

​

The Rose she had offered,​

Was truly an enchanted rose,​

Which would bloom until his twenty-first year.​

If he could learn to love another,​

And earn their love in return​

By the time the last petal fell,​

Then the spell would be broken.​

If not, he would be doomed to remain a Pokemon​

For all time.​

​

As the years passed,​

He fell into despair, and lost all hope,​

For who could ever learn to love a vicious Pokemon?​

Everyday like the one before.​

Little town, people and Pokemon, waking up to say.​

There goes Jenny with her Wobbuffet.​

Always there to serve and protect us all.​

Every morning just the same since the morning that we came,​

To this poor provincial town.​

I just finished training with his Garchomp​

It was such an amazing Pokemon with so many moves-​

Dazed and distracted, can't you tell?​

Not since yesterday!​

That's alright. I'll borrow... Lucario!​

Lucario?! But you've borrowed him twice!​

[Serena]​

Well he's one of my favorites, with his Metal Claw, Force Palm, Aura Sphere, and Close Combat!​

[Professor Sycamore]​

Well if you like him all that much, he's yours.​

[Serena]​

But Professor!​

[Professor Sycamore]​

I insist.​

[Serena]​

Well thank you! Thank you very much!​

[Group Of Men]​

Look there she goes that girl is so peculiar. I wonder if she's feeling well.​

[Group Of Women]​

With a dreamy far off look.​

​

[Group Of Men]​

And her focus on that ball.​

[Villigers]​

What a puzzle to all of us, is Serena.​

*Serena releases Lucario to see him in action once more*​

[Serena]​

Oh! Isn't this amazing? He's a favorite because you'll see. Here's where he practices his ExtremeSpeed.​

But he won't learn it till​

he's at level 65.​

Now It's a wonder that her name means peaceful, and her looks got no parallel.​

But behind that fair facade, I'm afraid she's rather odd.​

Very different from the rest of us.​

[Villagers]​

She's nothing like the rest of us. Yes different from us all is Serena.​

*Meanwhile, a flock of Pidgey are flying by. One of them gets hit with a Thunderbolt, and is captured by a PokeBall*​

Wow! Your Jolteon didn't miss Gary! You're the greatest Pokemon Master in the whole world.​

[Gary]​

I know.​

No Pokemon alive stands a chance against you. And no girl for that matter.​

[Gary]​

It's true Meowth. And I've got my sights set on that one.​

[Meowth]​

The racer's daughter?!​

[Gary]​

She's the one! The lucky girl I'm going to marry!​

[Meowth]​

But she's...​

[Gary]​

The most beautiful girl in town. That makes her the best! And don't I deserve the best!?​

Well of course, I mean you do, I mean...​

Right from the moment when I met her, saw her, I said she's gorgeous and I fell...​

Here in town, there is only she, who is as beautiful as me.​

So I'm making plans to marry that Serena.​
