Nicole wrinkled up her nose. "You know the others will report about this as soon as they find out..." She slumped her shoulders while standing in the rain.

 

"We can only hope they understand. I'm sure Kentaro might, since he was in the same pickle with Kaori, before she was a Soul Reaper." he said. "Besides, if he does manage to merge with this gigai, he will no longer be a Soul Reaper, just a human with high spiritual pressure, like you."

 

Nicole breathed out rather loudly. "But... I don't like him. Seriously... just only as a friend." She folded her arms.

 

"Oh." he said, sighing. "That will break his heart if he finds out."

 

Nicole rubbed his head. "I know... I'm just not that type of girl to look for boyfriends... and frankly, as harsh as it sounds, it's better off that way too." She watched the drops fall in the rain puddles.

 

"So you aren't interested in him at all?"

 

Nicole wasn't going to admit it outloud. "No... not really. Just a really good friend. That's it..."

"Oh." he said. "This is sad indeed. He may not be able to recover this time."

 

Nicole's eyes looked down. Now she wanted to be alone more then anything. She tilted her head up, letting the rain fall on her face. She wished she was somewhere else... far away from here.

 

"If you would, for me, at least play along for a little bit, then gently let him down." he suggested. "It might cause him the least ammount of pain and heartache."

 

Nicole opened her eyes, blinking when the rain threatened to land in her eyes. She lowered her head. "Love is so... twisted..." She sat down heavily on the curb, watching a stream of water float down the gutter.

 

"Aye. That it is." he said.

 

She rested her head on her knees, kind of not wanting to talk anymore. This conversation was just making her more and more upset. She listened to the rain around her, and to the cars honking in the distance. The street was almost diserted...

 

He rubbed her back to try and comfort her.

 

Nicole pulled away from his touch. She just really wanted to be in her own world right now. She was just giving everyone the cold shoulder this moment...

 

Eiji sighed and removed his hand.

 

Nicole let out a small sigh as well. Wow... it's been over like fifteen minutes. Where was Kori at? She raised her head up, looking at her wrist watch. Then she sat still, trying to pick out his spiritual pressure.

 

Asesino didn't leave the human world instead he went to the park to view his next 'mission', Jared.

Jared remained at the park noticing no one else around he felt now was a good as time as any to practise his powers. Before he could even spark up an inch of his sword he felt something nearing him.

Asesino landed infront of Jared remaining a few feet in distance from him, "Yo", he said to him sounding friendly although he was the enemy.

 

Just then Kori went back into his Gigai. "I'm gald I caught up with you." he said.
