~Bleach: War of the Masked~

Yumi jumped back and grabbed her Zangpaktou.

"Everyone please stay back, let me try something" she didnt even waste a second "Shine through the darkest night!! Ake no myōjō (morning star)"

immediately her zangpaktou blade began to glow a wonderful yellow light. (basically the whole blade shape glows completely yellowish light).

"lets hope this works" she lunged forward towars the sand hollow monster and slashed a small portion of its lower body. when her blade made contact with the hollow there was a small flash of yellow light that came from the slash.

"FOOLISH WOMAN" bellowed the hollow "YOU CANNOT KILL ME WITH THAT POWER!"

Yumi ignored the hollow and jumped stright up so she was up to the hollows face, she looked it straight in the eyes and smiled.

"Foolish Hollow, i know i can kill you with my power. the power of a star"

the hollow laughed and swung its hand around. Yumi easily dodged it.

"im fast, very fast. and that's why my zangpaktou is the power of a star. because stars are made of light. and light is fast." she smiled and she brought her blade into her final moves formation (its the same style of attack as Rukia uses when she does her Second dance)

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT WOMAN!"

"Nagareboshi!" (shooting star) and as Yumi said this and huge blast of light energy erupted out of her zangpaktou (it looks like Rukias Hakuren).

the blast hit the hollow square in the face, and completly swallowing it in yellow light (heat) energy.

once the blast faded the result was clear, the head of the hollow was a giant piece of glass. Yumi focusing her powers once again, gave the final slash to the hollow causing its glass head to shatter and the whole creature to die.

"given enough heat" Yumi began, "sand becomes form glass, so i had to make sure i used enough of my power to get my blast hot enough" she looked back to her group and smiled.

Somerie pulled her feet out of the sand and brushed her clothing off vigoursly, trying to get the sand off. Sh shook her head in a attempt to shake the sand out of her hair and then wandered over to the spot where previously the others were when they were getting dragged down into a burrow leading to the Menos Forest. Indeed she knew what that was, since she had read about it many times during her free time and she knew what manner of beasts lurked down there, in the shadows. Again the group was split again and it meant she had to help and try to find them all over again. But something else tugged at her mind more.
" If we are going to find this entrance I suggest we get away from open sand unless we want those hollows to come back and this time more prepared. We need to stick to more rocky terrain. Do you know where a possible entrance could be, sir?"
She said as she stomped her foot on the sand, testing it to see how thickly it covered the earthy plate below.

 

Lex was back at the Soul Society. Everyone was okay and everything was at peace. Lex stood on a hill and looked at the sunset. Everything seems so unreal. he thought to himself. Suddenly, a Serpent appeared behind him. It quickly wrapped itself around him and choked the life out of him.
Wake up, Idiot! a voice hissed in his head.

Lex woke up and coughed sand out of his mouth. The voice in his head sighed with relief. He looked at his surroundings. Where are am I? He seemed to have separated from the rest of the group. He was alone.

I think we may be in the Menos Forest...Serpiente hissed in his head. and if we are, then we are in big trouble

Lex always took Serpiente's warnings seriously. "We need to find the others and get out of here, Serpiente" Lex said softly. The cryptic forest around him was uninviting , but he was ready for a challenge.

 

ooc: lol now its just one captain and 3 lieutenants.

" Oh I'm terribly sorry about that si-. . . I mean A-Arashi."
She said as she bowed her head swiftly, cringing at the feeling of uneasiness she got from calling another division's captain by his first name and without any other honorable title added on to it. She just looked back at the other two lieutenants and did not speak a word to them as she followed Arashi a five feet behind him. Her sleeves, which she had tailored to be longer then a normal soul reaper's sleeves insulated her gentled hands and wrists inside from the harsh desert environment as she locked her sleeves together in front of her chest, as she walked along, looking down at the ground as she was lost in thought, not even paying attention to where she was going, yet she just followed the sound of the footsteps in front of her.
"I don't like that man, I don't like him at all. There's something about him that just doesn't go right with me. I mean I haven't seen him do anything bad to support my feelings, but It's just the way he acts. Be careful Somerie."
" Onee, hes a captain, hes just doing what captains do, give orders and lead."
"I don't care. Captain or not, somethings up."
"You have always told me you hated men, so why should this surprise me?"
"Yes I hate all men, don't get me started. But still."
" Thank you for your advice, Onee."
She said ending the debate with her thoughts as Aozora went quiet.

BIC: Lex sat down to rest beside the trunk of a tree. There were no hollows in sight but sooner or later they would find him. Lex lowered his head to think. He had no sense of direction, he didn't know where to go. Lex smiled. We'll be in luck's hands then....
He stood up and began running in a random direction. "Serpiente Emplumada, extend your graceful wings and fly to the sky" Lex said softly. The zanpakuto suddenly transformed into its feather form. Lets get this party started...hissed Serpiente.

 

"well that was...entertaining" Ryo muttered quietly to himself as he closed his eyes and began to scratch his head to remove all the sand out of his black hair. Once he finished scratching out the sand he opened one eye and looked over at Arashi and Sommire walking away its best I follow them for now Ryo thought to himself as he followed behind the two

OOC: Arch, who is with who? I just skimmed through the last couple of the pages.

BIC:

"Where are we?" Hatsuharu asked as he looked around. The last thing he remembered was unsheathing his Zanpakuto as the sand Hollow attacked, but he fell through the sand. When he landed, he was next to Sanosuke, who apparently had dove in after him. All around him were silver tree-like structures, reaching all the way to the surface.

Sanosuke scolded himself as he wiped off the sand from his clothes. "The Menos Forest it seems like," he answered him as he stood up. Sanosuke has been in Hueco Mundo several times, but never in the Menos Forest. He could only guess from what he's heard about it. He scolded himself again for diving after Hatsuharu. A Captain should not have made a rash move for only one Shinigami and leave the rest of his squad alone. But Hatsuharu was his closest friend. "We need to find the others, Hatsu, let's go," he said quickly as he picked a random direction and headed that way.

"Uh, yeah, sure," Hatsuharu muttered as he followed. Something was eerily wrong about the air.

Behind one of the silver trees, Kyo watched Hatsuharu and Sanosuke with a large grin.

 

" So Capta- er Arashi, you seem to speak fondly of the Menos Forest. Have you been there once before? Because I only know specific details about it from books I have read. Is it really such strong hollows down there? I hope nobody lower than rank of captain got trapped down there alone I mean, there must be some very strange things down there, things that not many people have come across yet, since this forest must be pretty large and deep. There has to be things hiding in there, that we don't expect there to be. I'm just wondering, I'm curious."
She spoke out of pure bored intent since the walk was taking quite a bit to reach the so called entrance. She began fiddling her hands inside of her locked sleeves as she trailed behind him.

 

" Oh I see now, if this place really is that dangerous, I hope we have better luck then they did as well."
She said softly as she closed her eyes for a bit to clear them and opened them. Somerie looked back up at the sky, she could see small strange birdlike hollows flying around in circles above, almost like buzzards in a sense. She knew they were weak hollows and they were smart enough not to attack such strong targets, but she couldn't help but watch them.

 

Lex sliced two hollows with his swords, one in each hand. Then, he stood in the middle of the of the forest. He breathed deeply. Blood ran down his cheek. I told you! Shouting 'Come and get me hollows' was not a good idea! Serpiente hissed. Lex had attracted a pack of Bear Hollows, they were slightly larger than ordinary hollows but much more stronger. Lex sighed. I know that...
Two more Bear hollows appeared straight ahead. Both growling and ready to attack. Lex lowered his head to think. If I stay like this...I'm going to die. His zanpakuto's third form began to take effect and he began to feel tired. Just two more....just two- The Bear hollows quickly ran away. The ground trembled and a new opponent revealed itself. A giant snake hollow appeared, its fangs dripped with deadly poison and the ground shook as it slithered into Lex's direction. Such....beauty...hissed Serpiente. Lex stared at the Anaconda hollow. He smiled. Indeed, she is.

 

Daichi was kneeling on the ground of a large room with wires, monitors, and countless devices thrown all over the walls in a manner that would seem random to anyone but him. Daichi's fingers were covered in ink as he sprawled a glyph on the floor, "Heart of the south, eye of the north, finger of the west, foot of the east, arrive with the wind and depart with the rain. Bakudo 58 - Kakushitsuijaku" The circle Daichi had been drawing on the ground began to glow and as he stared into it numbers and pictures began to fly by, almost incomprehensible to someone without his quick eye and faster mind. The images and numbers slowed down a bit as he found what he was looking for. One by One he saw all of them; Yamata, Kyozo, Naoto, Soku, Arashi, Somerie, Lex, Ryo, and Yumi. Apparently the group got split up and half of them found their way to the Menos Forest. "This could be entertaining. And one can never have too much data." Daichi said as the portal he had been staring into closed up and he stood and walked out of a door that was hidden behind all the cables.

 

The Anaconda hollow made its first strike. Even though the hollow was huge in size, its speed seemed to be unaffected. Lex dodged its tail attack but he was too slow and the attack threw him against a tree. Lex coughed blood and both of his swords flew into different direction. This...This is not good. The Anaconda hollow raised its head in victory and went for the final attack. You Idiot! Don't give up...you promised me you would never give up! Serpiente hissed desperately. Lex laughed. It's true. I did promise you that....and I never break promises...that's just how I am... Lex quickly moved his hand to the ground. Instantly the ground raised itself and formed a protective wall around him. The Anaconda hollow stopped and quickly analyzed the wall that separated it from its prey. Lex sighed. This will buy me some time....I don't know for how long though...

 

Yamata had fallen away from from Naota, Sanosuke and Hatsu...he got up and looked around to see tree's surrounding him...He could feel the reiatsu of some particularly powerful Hollows around him...

...Sasuke looked back to feel intense reiatsu coming from behind him in which amongst them he could feel Kyo's and Yamata's.They had fallen into the Menos forest."Turn Futsu Nushi, We're diving into the Menos Forest" he told his Zanpukuto.
"Please don't tell me your going to help Yamata..." it sighed.
"Yes" he told him as his hair rippled in the wind.
"Why" It asked as it turned.
"Because i won't allow him to die yet and i don't trust Kyo" he told him and he plummeted into the sand and was set from where Yamata was...

...From out of the tree's came 10 low level Adjuchas Hollows. Yamata gave a small sigh of relief, he was just glad that they weren't high level hollows otherwise it would make it much harder to defeat them in such a place...but that didn't mean this wasn't already going to be difficult.
A female bat like Hollow which floated in the air, bone wings flapping to stay afloat the air "Yum...Haven't had a bit of Captain in awhile, huh Leon" she called to a male lion like hollow, who laughed along with every other one of the Adjuchas.
Yamata closed his eye's modestly and said "His Sister Stood behind him in her apron, To tell them "Supper." At that Word, the Saw, As if it meant to prove it knew what supper meant, Leapt out at the boys hand, or so it seemed to leap - He must have given his hand...". His eye's opened and made no move. He looked perfectly calm but he knew his situation was bad. The only thing he could do is leave them attack and work from there.
"Lets finish this in one shot" The Female Hollow said as they got in a circle around him and charged Cero's!
"Sh!t i can cover 180 degree's without using Shikai..." he thought as they fired...

..."I've got your back" he said as Futsu Nushi dissappeared from under him and he was back to back with Yamata and as they both swong and reflects the cero's away. "You know what to do" Sasuke told Yamata.

"Kidou Level 33, gravitation circle" he said as the two of them were bonded by gravity and remain back-to-back through out the fight.

 

Daichi brought himself out amongst the sand and then stopped next to a small tree in the middle of nowhere. "Runuganga. Send me below." Suddenly the head of a sand hollow exactly like the ones that attacked the group appeared before him and the sand beneath Daichi began to shift and turn as he was sucked below. Daichi hid his spiritual pressure slightly so that he wouldn't be sensed immediately but anyone feeling around would still be able to sense him. Daichi slid along the length of tree that he was near as to land safely. No use wasting time by passing out.
