"Just things..." Satoshi lowered her eyes, hating herself for lying yet again.

 

"...Can I help you?..''Gaara asked,stepping through the small opening that lead to Suna.

 

Satoshi shook her head, unable to bring herself to say anything.

 

"Satoshi...you'v been acting stange ever since I picked you up..''Gaara pointed out,heading towards his office.

 

"I have..?" Satoshi asked cautiously. "W-what do you mean?" She put her hands in her pockets. Has he figured it out already!?

 

"...your hiding something from me...I can tell just by looking at you...''Gaara said.Before she could say another word he placed both hands on her shoulders."..No more running,no more excuses...just tell me..''he muttered.

 

Satoshi looked away, feeling guilty. "Promise you won't freak out."

 

"I promise...just tell me..''Gaara asked of her.

 

Satoshi decided to just come out with it, "I'm blind in my right eye."

 

Gaara blinked in small surprise."..How?..''he asked.

 

Satoshi looked down. "During my fight I guess..."

"Kazekage-sama,come quickly!"A Jounin said,rushing towards him.He came to a stop and turned around after grabbing Gaara's attention.

Gaara turned his heel and ran after the Jounin.

 

Satoshi lowered her head. She shook off her unease and followed Gaara and the jounin.

 

The Jounin came to a halt outside of his office.Next to his feet was a bodybag."..I..regret to inform you of this death Kazekage-sama...''he muttered silently.

Gaara looked down at the bag,then up at the Jounin."...Who?"he asked,his heart racing.

The Jounin knelt down and unzipped the back,though very slowly.After a painful silence he finished.and there lie Kankuro,eyes shut...dead.

Gaara's eyes widened as he stared down at the body,not believing what he was seeing.

Satoshi stood just behind Gaara on his side. When she saw Kankuro, her eyes filled with tears. How... How could he... It can't be...

 

Silent tears fell from Gaara's eyes.His brother was gone."...Who?"he asked the Jounin,his voice becoming hoarse.

"We do not know at this time,but we'll find out!"the jounin assured Gaara.

 

Satoshi bit her lip. She knew this was a hard blow to Gaara and she didn't want to be there if he didn't want her. "I- I should go..." She murmured, turning to leave.

 

Still sobbing silently,Gaara did not say a word to Satoshi as she turned.He was used to being alone,even when he needed a loved one the most.He placed one hand against the wall and faced the floor.
