Kaxus warped behind Phenox again with no weapons out. He turned invisible so he wasn't seen.

 

Phenox turned around, but saw nothing.

 

Kaxus stayed still watching him then he pulled out a piece of paper and wrote on it, I don't want to kill you anymore.. but now, I don't have a choice.. I'm sorry.. he finished writing it then slid it on the ground in front of Phenox, it turned visible once it was in front of him.

 

Phenox picked the paper up and read it. "I see..."

 

Kaxus summoned out his sword and put the jewel Xemnas gave him on it, then stabbed Phenox in the back.

 

Phenox dropped the book and his eyes went wide. He fell to his knees.

 

"As I said on that note Phenox.." he went visible and his eyes were filled with tears, "I'm sorry.. and I wish I didn't have to do this.." he twisted the sword, "Blame your dad.."

 

Phenox cried in pain. "I am sorry..."

 

Kaxus nodded as he stabbed the sword in more, "I know you are.." he said as the tears left his eyes and they turned red.

 

Phenox stood up. "I am sorry for that, but what I meant by 'sorry' just then... was that I am sorry I have to kill you now." Phenox faded into a puddle of black liquid. It was only a copy.

The real Phenox swung his Ethereal Blades at Kaxus.

 

Kaxus instantly dodged the blades and swung at him.

 

Phenox blocked with little effort. "Are you ready to be the first to witness... Superior Mode?"

 

Kaxus rolled his eyes, "Well what else is new? I'm probably gonna end up dead after I kill you anyway.."

 

"You will not kill me..." Markings appeared on Phenox's face. His muscles grew bigger.

 

Kaxus raised an eyebrow, "Really now? and why's that?"

 

"Superior Mode increases my power a million times over..." Phenox growled.

 

Kaxus smirked, "And what does that have to deal with me not killing you?" he said mumbling a few words not in English before toughing the ground, the earth split in two underneath Phenox's feet.

 

Phenox didn't move. He levitated above the hole.

 

Kaxus looked up at him and his jaw dropped. He sighed then grabbed something out of his pocket and threw it at him.

 

Whatever Kaxus threw at Phenox bounced off of a barrier. "My turn?" Phenox grabbed Kaxus' neck.
