Zxach tried to smile, but couldn't.

 

Juxta knocked on the medic room door before she went in, "Hey Rexona, are you there? It's Juxta, if you don't want company, I can leave you alone."

 

Rexona was standing by the window. "Come in, I guess..."

 

Juxta walked in and closed the door behind her, "Hey.." Juxta walked over to Rexona, "I heard what happened, I'm sorry to hear about that."

 

Rexona stood still. "It's fine..."

 

Juxta shook her head, "No it's not fine I know it's not fine. Things happen that we wish didn't but it's never fine, it can't possibly be fine with the way your actions are now.. If it was fine you wouldn't be in here."

 

Rexona was quiet before speaking. "...I really wanted that baby, you know..."

 

"I know you did... you both did." Juxta replied.

 

Rexona flinched. "You mean, Jesse?"

 

Juxta nodded, "Sorry I had to bring him up." Juxta then put a hand on her shoulder, "I just want you to know I'm here for you, even if I'm the last person you would want to talk to."

 

"Thanks..." Rexona turned to her, tears in her eyes. "Want to see my baby?"

 

Juxta was quiet before she spoke, "I don't know, if it makes you feel better I'll see it."

 

Rexona walked into another room.

 

Juxta followed her.

 

A small body could be seen in an incubator.

 

Juxta looked at the body in the incubator blankly before looking at Rexona, "I'm sorry."

 

Rexona wiped away a few tears, but didn't respond. She walked closer to the incubator.

 

Juxta watched her quietly.

 

Rexona put her hand on the glass. "Mommy's here now..."

A series of slow beeps could be heard.

Rexona looked around. She glanced at the heart monitor and gasped. "Juxta! Get Phenox! Now!"

 

Juxta nodded quickly then warped out of the room and appeared in front of Phenox's room and knocked on the door, "Phenox! please answer it's an emergency!"
