Clash of the races'

he sighed

"Here....you might want this."Aj said handing him a sword.

"Your joking right? I though I could transform..."

"well...this girl im putting you up against is fast....you might not get the chance."

"wait....girl? nu-uh! no way!"

 

"What, you saying girls can't fight boys because it's an uneven match or something?" Hermia said, sending a dagger like glare at the boy.

 

"what? no! I just dont wanna hurt her."

"Not her Im worried about....Blaise!"

"He here?" The girl was about River's age,average height,big blue eyes,long black hair and right away...you could tell she was part-vampire.

"she looks...kinda fimiliar."Mickey muttered

 

Hermia looked her up and down then sniffed slightly as though she was trying to judge her strength. Which was exactly what she was doing, River was going to have fun with this fight. She thought sarcastically.

 

"Thats him."

"Him?"She looked at River critically"Not much of a threat...oh well...get ready Pup...because I wont hold back."

He gritted his teeth.

She swung her own sword so fast,he just moved out of the way,then she swung again,left to right, getting him this time,just above the eyebrow


"Ow!"He said "sh*t."

 

"River!" Hermia shouted over at him, at first sounding as though she was worried about his wellbeing. She looked almost disgusted with herself because of the tone and proceeded to add on. "You are so f*cked!"

 

"Yep...I know that."

 

"Just making sure." She smirked, folding her arms and watching his opponent carefully.

 

"You really need to take anger management classes."

"This is my angermanagement.

 

Hermia continued to watch, although there didn't seem to be much of a fight to watch.

 

She caught him with the sword again.a long slash on his arm.


"You need to stop that."this time he actually hit her with his own weapon"Ha!"

Blaise did not look very happy anymore,a low snarl escaped her,she threw the sword aside and tackled River,who went down with a yelp.

"Blaise...no biting!"

 

Hermia placed her head in her hand and slowly shook her head in disbelief. One half vampire and he was down faster then a cheetah chasing it's dinner.

 

Blaise stood up"I'd get someone else to help you all....He wont be much good.....you'll be lucky if he could last five seconds this vampire your all after."

River glared at her"Well excuse me for not running around kill people."


"Not the point."she said shaking her head"It should come naturally......You....your just a pathetic excuse for a werewolf...If you were Mine I wouldnt be to chuffed about it." with that...she turned and sped away

 

Hermia wandered up to him after a couple of moments. "Don't worry, you weren't that bad. Well... You were bad. But you just need some training, which is why we're here. You okay?"

 

"Fine.."he said getting up" am I a pathetic excuse for a werewolf? someone you'd be ashamed to say im your kid?"the last part he look at his parents.


"No...River....you just need a little- I mean alot of training then you'll be ok."

 

"Believe me River, you shouldn't be too worried about this. I wouldn't of been able to fight of a vampire at your age, well... When I was a couple of years younger then you anyway. And the circumstances with that fight were very different." Lake smiled, trying to be supportive and kind as always.

 

he sighed"I cant even fight a half vampire ."

 

"Maybe it'd be a good idea for you to wolf up for a while, go back to what werewolves are supposed live like. Instead of the comfy suburbs, or even an expensive tent. Might help you get more into it, and the survival stuff will make you stronger anyway." Hermia suggested.

 

"Whatever....Im gonna go take this stuff off."

 

Hermia scowled darkly at River's dismissal of her suggestion, she didn't have to help him. She didn't have to be there. She was there because she thought a long term solution of killing off Danny for good would be better then a short term one of chasing him around the country on her own with the occasional helping paw would far better.
Though on a level she was trying her hardest to ignore she knew she also wanted to make sure he was okay, that he didn't get hurt. After all he was the key to winning a battle bigger then they could comprehend, and she knew if one day went by without her checking up on him would drive her nuts as she just wouldn't know.
