"I don't think she'd attack you anyway." Lake smiled, leaning against Mickey's arm.

 

"Girls are tempermental...so...Im not so sure."he said

 

"I'm sure she has her reasons. Now go find her already."

 

"Im goin'!"he said breaking into a run,which was about the only thing was he good at....running,because he was fast."

"well."Elena said"He can still run away!"she giggled.

 

"It's just as well Elly." Lake giggled picking her daughter up. "He needs to be good at something wolfie."

Hermia was sat at the bottom of a tree, all the talk about scars had gotten to her. Perticulary River's comment about them 'ruining' his face. She had a lot of the things, an awful lot. But she hid them, that's why she always had long sleeves had rather high necked tops and never ever let anyone see her belly. They made her self concious as it was without River saying how repulsive they were.

Hermia?" He called

 

Suddenly Hermia jumped, she had been looking at the giant scar that ran across her upper body as she hadn't expected anyone to come looking for her. She quickly scrambled onto her feet and brush her top down so it was covering everything once again. "Yeah?!" She shouted in response.

 

" Where are you?!"

 

She stopped and listened to the direction of the voice and remained silent for a moment. Hermia then called back. "Go left, turn right after you get to a big tree then you'll see me if you look right."

 

Er...Ok..."he said following her directions

 

"What? It's not difficult to figure out where someone is by listening to them you know." Hermia replied curtly.

 

"Yeah well like everything else...I suck at directions."

 

"Look River." She said walking up to him and looking at him straight in the eyes. "You're not bad, you're average. And that's to be expected, you've never needed to be a wolf before and now you need to be an exceptional wolf. But time is on your side at the moment. That won't always be the case. So suck it up and work your ass off. I'll do everything right along with you if that's what you want."

 

"How do you know I can do it? Huh? Look at me Hermia."he said "Im a runt compaired to other guy werewolves....I've inherited too much of my mother's dentiness (sp?) all I got from my dad was looks and height.....aand the ability to eat pretty much what I want...but thats it ...My mother's strong....Im not."

"I am looking at you and I see someone who is only on the beginning of their life as a werewolf. You're not pathetic, you're just new. And in all honesty I think the only reason your mum managed to rip that vampire was because she was protecting the one she'd imprinted on. That gives you more will power, which makes you automatically try harder." She replied, her eyes still burning straight into his. "And you're not a runt, you're really not. So stop thinking that."

"Funnily enough, no I haven't. But you can easily build muscle up, you just have to work hard. And in all fairness your Dad does seem like the type to have done a lot of muscle building stuff as a teenager." She said before her manner changed slightly. "I hate imprinting... Not something you can choose to have happen though..." Hermia sighed as she looked down at the ground. "

"Well maybe you need to put in that extra bit of effort. It won't kill you." Hermia sighed. "And I hate imprinting because you can't control it even a little and it can ruin your life. Like if the person you've imprinted on doesn't want you..."
