Clash of the races'

"Yeah...well...I will.."he said shrugging"and....Hermia....you sound like you've...Imprinted....have you?"

 

"What?" Hermia exclaimed her eyes opening widely and a pale pink flush going across her cheeks, something that rarely happened to her. She had never been the girly blushing type. "No! Of course I haven't! You think I could be here with you and the others if I had?"

 

"Its just....you know an awful lot about it."he said

 

"So?" She replied quickly. "Lots of people have the opinion that love is a load of bullsh*t but they haven't actually fallen in love themselves."

 

"Er...ok then...so you coming? Mum and dad wanted to make sure you didnt hack anyone to bits."he said

 

"Ye-Yeah..." She nodded as she looked down at her feet.

 

"You ok?"he asked tilted his head to the side

 

"Yes I'm fine." She muttered through gritted teeth, looking to the side slightly.

 

"O...K then."he said turning back around

 

Hermia waited for him to be a foot or two in front of her before following after him. She was still battling against her own body to get the blush to disappear from her face.

 

"Its a....nice place here....init?"he asked dogding a spider web,trying to making conversation

 

"As far as a place over run with vampire half breeds goes, yeah." She replied darkly, brushing the cobweb River had avoided out of her face as she went through it.

 

"Half vampires arent so bad you know....then again....I have two for cousins....no but seriously...they're not....they smell better than full vampire's atleast."he said"not much...but they do..."

 

"A vampire smells like a vampire to me." She shrugged. "It's like the difference between a freshly dead body and a decaying body. And the smell drives me insane, it's everything I can do not to tear them apart..."

 

"Your another one who needs anger management..."he said quietly "They're ok...My aunt's a vampire....she's pretty cool...kinda creepy though...she was like born my dad's twin...but he's 43 and she's not a day older that 18."River shook his head"Dad's getting old...then again...Uncle Cory's older...he's 45...you dont want to meet his two boys...combined with Aj, they're the worst cousins ever, they do nothing but pick on me and Jacob cos we're the youngs guys."

 

"It's not a voluntary reaction you know... I know they're people, and I know they're not all trying to kill everyone. But it's the smell, the smell makes me want to kill." Hermia sighed looking up into the tree branches. "I would tell you something about my family, but even I don't know anything..."

 

"Nothing....at all?"

 

"I don't even know my own birthday." Hermia smiled weakly.

 

"Your kidding....right?"

 

"Nope..." She sighed, her eyes then cast downwards. This wasn't something she'd ever told anyone before, she hadn't had friends at school so it wasn't surprising it hadn't been picked up on before then.
