Clash of the races'

"What?"he said...then...he grinned"Funny Hermia....very funny...If she wanted to kill me...should have dont it before now."

 

"I know what I heard!" Hermia exclaimed, upset that he didn't believe her. "Why would I make something like this up?"

 

"Say she was trying to kill me? what do we do?"

 

"I don't know! Tell someone? Get away from here?" Her pace picked up again, it was easy to see she was flustered and worried. Not a state that was all that natural for her.

 

"Or....we go ask her."he said,he was never the brightest bulb

 

"No! Because if she finds out we're onto her we both die straight away!"

 

"Fine...ok...we'll go tell dad."

 

"Okay..." She nodded. "That's something..."

 

"Come on then."He said turning around

 

Hermia quickly followed after him.

 

"Dad! "River called "DAD!"

"what?"Mickey mumbled sitting up straight in the chair he'd dozed off in.

 

Lake looked over at the approaching teenagers. "I wonder what's happened this time..." She muttered to herself.

 

"Hermia says Blaise is trying to kill me."


"Blaise? the girl who trains with you? the one who you stare at all the time?"



"I dont stare at her!"

 

Hermia sighed and looked down at the floor, the staring always got to her. She tried not to think of it, to gloss over it when it happened. But still, she couldn't ignore it when the facts were being shoved in her face.

Lake, who was pretty certain Mickey could handle whatever it was, was watching Hermia out of the corner of her eye. She'd been curious about her for a while now, and now was the perfect chance to see if her suspicions might have some more solid basis to them.

 

"What do you mean she wants to kill you?"


"Her dad....is a memember of the volturi."

 

"I think he's actually the leader..." Hermia added in quietly, still looking down at the floor.

 

He sat up straighter "I knew I'd seen her before.....Her dad is Aro! River...no more training with her...she will kill you....stay away from her...and dont go anywhere alone ok?"

 

"Maybe it'd be a good idea if Hermia stayed with you all the time. Two werewolves against a vampire should be easy." Lake suggested, turning around on the spot to look at them.

 

"But you- I have to train..."he said"I cant kill Danny without Blaise's help."


"You'll do it...trust me....know why?"

"why?"


""Because You've got Malfoy blood in you.....and we tend to be rather annoying in the fact that we keep coming back again and again and again."he grinned

 

"In all fairness you've probably learnt all you can from just fighting with her. You need to focus on other areas too." Lake nodded, trying to back up Mickey's point about how he can do it without Blaise's help.

"I'll try and help as much as I can you know..." Hermia said quietly, so far she hadn't done very much to actually help. Just sat and timed the matches and did a few exercises here and there.
