Clash of the races'

"Blaise......ah.....Hi..."he said backing up slightly

"whats wrong?"she said dropping down walking slowly towards him"scared of me?"

"He shook his head good job River...if she attacks you've go no chance...

 

Suddenly Hermia's head picked up. She'd heard something, and something didn't feel quite right. She lifted her head skywards and sniffed the air deeply. Suddenly her head snapped to one side and she snarled. "Blaise..."
Quickly she took off through the woods towards the scent.

 

"Then...why are you trying to get away from me?"

"Im...not."

"Really?"she said coming closer to him.

 

Hermia continued to charge through the forest, effortlessly avoiding tripping over roots or walking to into branches. She had to get to him before anything happened to him, she just had to.

 

she wrapped a arm around his neck,grinning"dont move..."she said quietly,pulling her sword out"shut your eyes..."


He didnt want too...but he found himself shutting them,then they flew open again when he felt a sharp pain in his stomach,he looked down,blood was already seeping through his shirt.


Blaise dropped the sword and sped away

 

Hermia jumped into the air and phased into a wolf so quickly that she hit the ground fully changed. She moved to charge off after Blaise, but realised that if she did she might not get back in time to save River. To instead she hurried over to him and nudged him gently with her muzzle to check to see if she was too late anyway.

 

"Hermia..."he mumbled "Venom.."

 

The worry in her eyes was visable even in her wolf form. Carefully she picked him up by the collar of his clothing with her teeth and cautiously made her way through the forest back to camp, trying her hardest not to drop him or hurt him in any way.

 

"whats that? Is that....-River!"


River had broken out into a cold sweat and his heart was going way too fast

"Holy sh*t it is!" Ocean said, quickly jumping to her feet. "What the hell happened to him?"

Hermia picked up her pace a bit once she was out of the wooded area as she had less to worry about hitting him into. She ran up to the family and placed him down carefully on the floor in front of them.

OOC- Okay.

 

"What happened?"

 

Quickly Hermia grabbed the bag she kept just outside the tent in case there was this sort of an emergency and disappeared into the bushes, it was followed by a lot of rustling and one small yelp and Hermia scrambled out of it again, now clothed in a dress that obviously was meant to just be chucked on as quickly as humanly possible. The collar dropped down over one of her shoulders and it had very little shape once it had glided over her waistline.
"Blaise." She snarled slightly, the very mention of the girl's name leaving a bad taste in her mouth. She was never going to forgive that rotting corpse, not in a million years. "She stabbed him, and he mentioned something about venom."

"Vampire venom." Lake gasped, the seriousness of the situation finally hitting her like a ton of cement blocks.

"It'll kill him if it's not taken out straight away..." Ocean said quietly, suddenly feeling the throb of remorse for everything she'd said and feeling a pang of guilt for thinking 'Well I did warn you this would happen' when he first appeared being carried by the brown she-wolf.

 

"where's Maddie?"Mickey asked

 

"Like I know! I'm not telepathic you know!" Lake said snappily, frustrated that no one was acting quickly when the seconds were ticking away faster then they could fathom.

"I'll go look for her." Ocean volunteered, already running off to search.

 

Mickey pulled off River's shirt to get a better look at the wound.

Maddie was sitting at the little river,with her daughter

 

"Is there anything I can do?" Hermia asked, desperate to do something to help. Anything, she couldn't just stand around and watch as he lay dying right in front of her.

"Aunty Maddie!" Ocean yelled over, running as fast she could towards her. Help! It's River! Something's happened! Something to do with venom or something and he's dying!"

 

"Not right now...we need to wait for Maddie....then she can...well get the venom out before it spreds too much."

Maddie ran towards her neice"where is he? did someone bite him?"

 

"So nothing at all..?" She said pathetically, at a loss for what to do. Panic slowly sinking in and spreading through out her body.

"I really don't know." Ocean replied as she turned back and started to lead Maddie back towards the dying River.

 

"well....you could go get a bandage or something"Mickey said

"Mickey move."Maddie said kneeling next to him

 

"I've already got those." Lake said, kneeling down opposite to Maddie with the wrapped up roll of bandages. Waiting for the chance to help.
