"they think it makes them look cool,they always did that."Mickey shrugged

 

"I'm not complaining about the younger ones walking around shirtless." Ocean said shiftily, trying to lift the mood slightly.

 

"You wouldnt"River said rolling his eyes

 

"Well I doubt Hermia would complain about you walking around shirtless." Ocean teased, trying her best to embarrass her little brother.

 

"Yeah.....well....I have a reason.."He said reddening slightly

 

"Awwwh." Ocean cooed striding over and ruffling her brother's hair. "Is ickle River getting embarrassed?" She giggled

 

"Pfft no....when was the last time you embarrased me?"he said shiftly

 

"Not that long ago if we're talking small things. But bigger things maybe that time I posted that baby picture of you in bath on the common room noticeboard when I was in fifth year." She said, a sly grin crossing her face.

"Come on you two, knock it off." Lake sighed, picking Elena up carefully. "You're just going to end up embarrassing each other, and probably Hermia too."

 

" You put that picture up? "He gaped "I never found out who did that! no one told me! everybody went on about it for weeks! Wait till I get you back!"

"They never listen do they Mummy?"Elena asked

Mickey quickly fell back into his joking manner"who do you think helped her find the picture?"

 

"Good luck with that River." Ocean giggled, holding her hand upwards. "Sneaky victory high five Dad?" She grinned cheekily.

"Nope, never." Lake giggled slightly. "And don't you get involved too Mickey."

Hermia couldn't help but giggle at them, despite everything they always had each other to pick the others up. And everything came back around to a light hearted joke or happy, or otherwise, memory.

 

"Sorry Lake....the opportunity was too good to pass up...He's getting to old to embarrass by myself"he said high fiving his daughter then ruffling his son's hair "Just be glad it wasnt your grandpa who did it...he'd go over the top."he laughed

River huffed and crossed his arms,turning his head to hide his smile,no matter what it was good the family was this close, a tight knitted group, one laughed...they all did....as much as he hated to say it, he enjoyed having family around.

 

"Too true about Grandad." Ocean giggled. "Fantastic prankster, but no idea where the line is."

Hermia smiled slightly as she saw River's grin. It was moments like this she wished she'd known her family, but then again, they might not of been so close.

 

"He never did..."Mickey muttered

He smiled at Hermia

 

"Anyway, what were you two doing all alone." Ocean giggled, turning back on her brother and his friend.

 

"wouldnt you like to know...."he grinned

 

"Okay, now I'm actually curious. What happened? Huh? Huh? Huh?" She asked, getting more and more into his face with each question before pulling back and laughing. "Okay, seriously. What happened?"

 

"I repeat : wouldnt you like to know"he grinned "your so nosey"

 

"Maybe I am." Ocean smirked. "So, are you two now together or am I jumping the gun just a little bit?"

 

"Uh...."he shrugged"I guess so."

 

" 'I guess so'? That's not a very good answer River." Ocean sighed, noticing the slight twitch that Hermia had just had on her left eye. It was some what of a give away she was just a little irked at the non-committal response.
