"He might....for awhile he'll still be River..."

 

"Well... That certainly doesn't sound good..." She said quietly, a hundred possible different outcomes flooding through her mind. "How long would it last...? And is there anyway to stop it...?"

 

"I think it goes away on its own....he must been here for a reason.."

"Hmm...what reason could that be? cant be the army of vampires coming to kill us on my birthday oh no..."

 

"Well, how long until the take over is complete...?" Hermia asked, anxious to know just how long she could expect the real River to hang around for.

 

"a few hours to a day..."

 

Subconsciously Hermia grabbed onto River's hand, she knew this wasn't going to end well.

 

"Dont worry...Im not dying."he grinned

 

"I know... But we don't know what you'll end up acting like once it takes a hold..." She said, looking up at him. Her eyes glistening with anxiety and worry.

 

"Im pretty sure I could fight it....Its my body after all.."he said"honestly...dont worry."

 

"I guess so, but if you go all primal instinct on us that could end really badly with the amount of vampires and half vampires and such..."

 

"Slap me then."he grinned

ooc-do you wanna do the whole fight thingy?

Hermia laughed weakly, personally she didn't really see the funny side of someone possibly ripping their relatives apart because they're possessed by some long dead shapeshifter.

 

"Dont worry"He said again"I'll still be me."

River,still silver eye'd paced along the forrest line,not going in,he wasnt stupid,but it was like he could see something in there....something that shouldnt be,he moved like he was itching for a fight,to rip,tear,bite and burn.

Lyra,who'd driven up for his birthday,hadnt a clue what to expect,this certianly wasnt it"Michael...why didnt you tell me about him?"

"Didnt have time."he said watching his son closely

Hermia was laying down on a patch of grass in the middle of the camp-grounds. Since the possession had become more strong and more noticeable she'd spent most of her time as a wolf. It just seemed like the logical idea, because obviously a battle could start at any moment and she was fed up of tearing her decent clothes up just because she didn't have enough time, or privacy, to change.

"Don't feel left out Lyra." Lake sighed from her seat on the ground. "I wasn't told until I actually noticed something was different."

 

"And he'll be fine once this.....wolfs gone?"

"Im 100% sure of it..."

"Dad....Im helping...and you cant stop me.."Cadey said,belting a knife to her hip


"we need her,she's the most powerfull witch we've got....she'll be usefull"River said,it didnt sound like him,his voice was deeper,almost old fashioned,but River's was mixed in with it,like the two were talking at once

 

"Hey!" Ocean exclaimed from a few feet away. Obviously very insulted at how she didn't even get a look in. "I got pretty much straight Os in all my subjects! I can't be that bad of a witch!"

Hermia looked over at the complaining blonde and shook her head. A look of what can only be described as wolfish amusement on her face.

 

He rolled his eyes"fine...we need them both."he said turning away,not once since talking to Hermia the week before,had he cracked a smile

Cadey pulled a face,and pushed her red-brown haired out her face"Hurry up and get out of River.....all work and no play make River a dour faced git..."she muttered

 

Hermia nodded at Cadey's point, making a small whine in agreement. This military correctness and effectiveness was somehow even worse then the wild animal she'd been worried he'd turn into. At least that would of been interesting. This had been over a week of boring strategy and barking orders.

 

"Cant we do something to get it out of him Uncle Mickey?"

"We might need him if Danny's been...possed..."

 

"It's just a waiting game, unfortunately." Ocean sighed as she sat down besides Hermia, patting her head gently.

Hermia wagged her tail slightly, she didn't mind the odd pat. And seeing as she'd spent so long as a wolf recently it'd become almost like a pat on the back. Just so long as there was no belly rubs she was fine.
