Clash of the races'

"Hey Dad...you know what you said about the party for me...you were serious right?"

"Yeah...but when I said for you...I meant for me...Its been so long since I was out my face."he grinned

 

"You get drunk and I'm leaving you." Lake said folding her arms in an indignant way. "You're not embarrassing him, or me, or yourself."

 

"You wouldnt find it embarrasing if you were drunk too you know...but fine...I wont get drunk"he said shifting Elena in his arms "Much."he muttered under his breath

 

"I don't drink, you should know that by now Mickey." Lake sighed wandering inside.

Hermia had managed to fall back asleep in the car, her head resting where River had been sitting.

 

He wandered back over to her,smiling the he lifted her upto carry her inside

"I'll spike you orange juice"he grinned "and I will succeed this time since you caught me last time"he laughing jokingly"Im kidding,you'd kill me."

 

She curled in towards him, her head resting on his shoulder as she nestled herself into his arms.

"I'd more then just kill you." Lake smiled innocently.

 

"and leave your children fatherless?"he asked putting Elena down on the couch

"Im gonna put Hermia In my room.."

"You sleep in Elena's room if you have to sleep then."

"Dad....Just no."

 

"If Hermia's asleep nothing's going to happen." Lake shrugged. "At least I hope not."

 

"yeah cos we're gonna sh*g while she's asleep you know."

"Not exactly how I was trying to phrase it, but yeah." Lake said, trying not to look amused. "Just make sure you don't do anything when she wakes up either. Just sleep or whatever."

Mickey was sitting at the kitchen table,River's party had been on for a few hours and there was no way he was going into that living room with River's music on,that bouny,rave stuff was giving him a headache

Hermia was sat on the sofa, a glass cupped between her two hands.

"You all right Mickey?" Lake asked wandering into the kitchen.

 

"Yeah...just wish he'd change that song..."

River was over at the CD player he'd brought down from his room,it was the biggest in the house,so it made more noise,he currently was trying to pick a song that everyone would like,while Caleb was at his shoulder pointing out songs,River wore a new gold chain around his neck,it was thick and on it was Danny's ring,it went well with his country-boy shirt with the white top under it and the baggy jeans that were hanging from his hips,his drink was on to of the Cd player,but having not eaten much that day,you could see it had gone straight to his head

"I quite like it actually." Lake giggled as she sat down next to him.

Hermia looked over at River for a moment, she too hadn't eaten that day and had drunk just enough to make her a little tipsy. Slowly she stood up and flattered down the skirt to her dress. It was just a little shorter then her usual ones,and just a little lower cut too.

 

"Just let it play through...your gonna break it Caleb then Im gonna break your jaw.."River said straightening up again,shaking his head


"You would."

 

Hermia slowly stood up, placing her drink on top of a side table. She then wandered over to him, slipping her hand onto his with a cheeky grin.

"Of course." Lake giggled, dancing slightly while she was sat. After a moment she sighed. "When did we become the adults sat out in the kitchen?"

 

He turned towards her "Hiya"he grinned"soo...having fun? or are you just here for the free booze?"he joked"I vote the second one."he laughed


"Hmm...the minute we hit thrirty-five?"

 

"Actually I'm here for neither of those reasons." She grinned, swinging their hands slightly. "I'm here for the hot guys, so far you're the only one that's caught my eye though."

"Speak for yourself, I'm still thirty." Lake giggled.

 

"Thanks....your the only girl here whos not a family member"he laughed


"Yeah In your head"

 

"Just as well really, considering I'm the jealous type." She giggled.

"You saying I look old?" Lake said in a playfully aggressive tone.
