They used to be my favourite band... I liked all their first albums, ( castles,parachutes,X&Y) but not the newest one...My fave songs used to be ''The scientist'', ''Amsterdam'' and ''Green eyes''.They're kinda old though ;P. I agree with misty, they are trying to copy U2...
Ugh how I hate people who yell "ZOMG they're copying U2!" because their music resembles eachother ever so slightly... Seriously guys, apply some ear wax and listen again.
Well, when it comes to the vocals ok, but the music resembles a lot to U2... I play songs on the guitar from both of them, and i saw many stuff that were pretty much the same! :/
one of the most amazing bands to come forward in the last 20 years... they really do have a great, unique sound out there at improves all the noise that passes for music nowadays :D P.S: just to let everyone know, coldplay is very aware that they sound like U2; that is one of their biggest inspirations, listening to U2 and bands like them. there styles are similar because they listened to U2 growing up and like the way they play. both good bands, NOTHING wrong with the similarities. :D
