Controversies with Pokémon

It' s not that he had to be, it' s that it' s wasn' t shameful to him in the slightest. He was raised by his gramps, completely removed from society and its etiquette. The manga often used his naiveté to add a social critique subtext, especially the first books.

Although his monkey tail later turned out to be indicative of his extraterrestrial origins, at first it was just one of the numerous nods of the manga to Water Margin.

 

Actually Goku wasn't even half human, he was a saiyan . . . Though I preferred him clothed. That is one censor I actually like, but I will agree that there is a lot of senseless censoring out there. Naruto is a definite example. Original had cursing and what not in it, that america crap had nothing. I understand it was for the kids or whatever, but come on!!

Back to the topic at hand. I really can't see why it matters if one or two episodes were cut. I was so young at the time, the Tauros coming out of nowhere didn't bother me a bit. I was just happy to see the rest.

 

When I watch Naruto in English, they hadn't even censored the part where he did his Sexy no Jutsu--which I think should be censored anyway. Little kids shouldn't be seeing that kind of stuff and yet they censored the swearing. Right... -.-

 

They did censor it. They had the clouds.

 

Alright--but still. It still shows Naruto unclothed... It isn't fair for Dragon Ball Z to be uncensored just because Goku was a little kid. I mean--Naruto was a full fledged girl when he transformed. Get what I mean?

I've got nothing to say. What would the parents say when they see their little kids grow up to be like--you know? Pedophiles or whatever because of an uncensored anime.

Wait what ? Censoring nudity is just as arbitrary as censoring words. I was born with a body, weren' t you ? Useless Judeo-Christian arbitrary morals aside (or rather the puritan American version of it, it doesn' t bother Europeans nearly as much), what the hell is so fundamentally wrong with seeing a body, especially when you' re a kid with zero sex drive ?

As for censoring Goku but not girly Naruto, well ... one is a boy, the other is a girl. Double standards ftw.

I can honestly say I don't see how this would ever happen. For one, Naruto transforms into an "older" woman, now I could see what you're saying if he stayed around his age, but he doesn't. For two, kids that young aren't likely to pay it any attention. The clouds cover the majority and it's just a funny little joke that adults understand.

 

I know children were hospitalized, I don't believe anyone died from it however. If people did die, the show would have been pulled off the air immediately.

Deaths or not, this is what happens. Ridiculous. I'm not entirely sure on whether or not there were in fact "deaths" but there were a lot of seizure cases. Doesn't matter, it was still traumatic. It did get pulled off the air for a time.

 

Pokémon is actually seriously banned in some countries.Religions need to take a chill pill, pokémon are monsters, hence pocket monsters, they are nature in the games, the pokédex talks about food chains and the ecosystem. Animal cruelty in pokémon is present, but in the wrong party, the game talks about how your pokémon love you, team rocket TORTURES, MURDERS, EXPERIMENTS ON AND ABUSES pokémon for fun, and you stop them, you are the good guy. The let's player was joking. Electric Soldier Porygon is no laughing matter and a warning would just mean more deaths, you may not have a history, but discover it then. I'm scared to sh*ts of that clip, I don't even want to try. Jynx is a fashion fad, the game is made in Japan. Lenora should be a sigh of relief, "finally as black gym leader", no it was,"**** you and your ******* poké****, **** you, you d*ck l*cking ******* racist ********!" Digimon is far worse than pokémon you keep them in a cage(no seriously), shoot them, trap them, choke them, poison them, leave the to die,, stab them, starve them, shock them and abuse them, Digimon actually die. yea, and pokémon is being blamed. Gyms are just a boss format, gym leaders are bosses. The Elite four is the final boss. Pokémon don't even die they faint, pokémon is a happy game. Ash says about fifty-million times each scene about how much he loves Pikachu. The creator of Pokémon stated that he took out all unneeded violence form the game, no blood, guts, gore. Registeel and the Nazi salutation is just a design fault, heck, when the game came out kids probably didn't even know what a Nazi was. People just cannot let a game that causes next to no harm(Electric Soldier Porygon) so much fuss, the games have caused no harm, Lavender Town syndrome is a creepy pasta.
