Unfortunately for you, my opinion holds much stronger grounding and is less biased since:
1) I can actually draw/paint, so I can at least tell who is actually worth voting for
2) I don't of these members, so I'm not voting based on who I like more as a person
3) I'm better than you

Maybe they didn't nominate you because you were not that active,just like SA,she is amazng at drawing but you don't see her posting anymore.It's a matter of activity and somewhat "popularity".

Looking at this now I wonder why ProperArtist, Bradley and gattai aren't on this poll and me and someone who doesn't exist are.

 

Popularity? I myself think gattai should calm down. I know what he means, but calling other member's drawings mediocre? The only mediocre thing here is his attitude. You can draw better than them? Good for you, gattai, but don't go making a big fuzz and insulting other member's work.

It's just something fun to do every year, nothing to get worked off about. If you weren't nominated, then it's not such a big deal.

 

Umm, gattai, you can call me mediocre all you want, I really could care less because maybe I am and I want to get better of course, I'm only 14 anywho, but just because you might be able to draw something better than me does not make you the better artist especially since you're a bit mediocre yourself. Sure that's a good drawing there, but it's not the best in the entire world, and I don't see it up next to the Mona Lisa or anything. What makes you a bad artist is your sour attitude toward everyone saying just because you are better than someone else makes your opinion right. It almost seems like you think you're godlike with your pencil. But guess what? You're not. Even cocohints is WAY better than that.

Maybe that's why you're not nominated.
So get over it.

 

Well I won't voice my opinion on the artists, but you're right when you say it shouldn't matter how many times the winner has won before, as long as (s)he's the best.

You said yourself that he has a point. What does it matter how he says it?
So what if he's a bit cruder? You could coat every word with five layers of sugar but still say the same thing. So why bother?

Anyways;I suck at drawing.So I respect everyone who posts drawings on this site.Not only because of the people on it who will critique them,but also because drawing isn't the easiest thing in the world.
Now I understand how some people may wonder why other artists aren't up there,but putting people down in a thread about people who are the best and deserve to be up there...Is just wrong.
They're all winners.
Everyone is,just for being nominated.
So gattai please stop complaining and hope to be nominated next year.

I actually tend to disagree with you. Skill is what matters when it comes to art not attitude. If that had any bearing on it at all no one would consider half the great artists of history worth their time. Can anyone here say Frida Khalo? Horrible person, respected artist.

Besides, it looks gattai is trying to get at you guys because he knows he can, which isn't particularly right, but I think your reaction is pretty shameful and immature really. So personal feelings aside he's saying the right thing in a less than kind way is all and it doesn't warrant personal attack.

 

You have a point in saying that, yes, and I don't expect him to be an ass-kisser when it comes to proving his point, but sometimes for the sake of keeping peace and not causing a shitstorm, it's best not be all guns-out if you catch my drift.

I understand your intentions and it's appreciated, but personally I'd rather advocate tolerance for the more...cutthroat way of saying what you have to say than I'd advise people to bite their lips.

Not if they're used to conceal how you really feel about it. I'm not saying you have to be a jerk to get your point across, but do know that there are some who prefer that way.
