Danny Phantom <3

Danny glanced over his sholder at 'Johny.'
"Maybe later," He said to Sam.

 

"Common Danny, I really wanna know."

 

"It's kinda private," Danny told Sam gently, and then shivered.

"Danny!" Daine called, coming into the kitchen. "Oh, hi, Sam." She smiled. "What's wrong, Danny? You look pale." She asked though she already knew the answer: too many ghosts for Danny to deal with. With his ghost sense always going off, he was getting to cold. "Do you have a fever?"

Danny leaned against the counter. "Maybe."

 

Sam touched his forehead. "Your freezing." Sam took Danny to his room by the hand. "Now get in that bed while I make your soup, got it?"

 

"Sam," Danny protested. "I'm alright. Besides," He lowered his voice. "I've got to find Ember and Johny 13 and his Shadow."

 

"Not while your sick!" Sam went to the kitchen and came back 30 minutes later with the soup. "Here you go, this should keep you warm."

 

Daine followed Sam to Danny's room. Danny being sick was an added bonus for her.

Danny smiled, embarassed. "You didn't have to, Sam."

"But she wanted to," Daine said, sitting in Danny's desk chair. "And when she's not around, I'll take good care of you."

"You won't have to," Danny told Daine. "My mom'll take care of it." He knew this possed a problem for his ghost fighting.

 

Sam was twitching with jealousy. "N-no prob that's what friends are for."

 

Daine shot Sam and false smile. "Of course. Danny'll be better in no time with me."

Danny looked back and forth between Sam and Daine. "Uh..."

 

Sam was clenching her fists. "You don't say?"

 

"Yup," Daine kept up the perfect act. "I'm very good at what I do."

Danny twirled the spoon around the bowl.

 

"I bet you are..." Sam mumbled trying to restraine herself from hurting her.

 

Daine was about to say something back to Sam, but her cell phone started to vibrate in her pocket. She took it out and looked at the Caller-ID.
"Oh, it's my dad," She told Danny. "I'll be right back." She left the room.

Danny just looked at Sam and shrugged.

"What is it?" Daine said into the phone. "Yeah, I did. ... He's sick, I think. ... No, I don't really know. ... I know! I'm doing my best, but his girlfriend's in the way. ... Okay, I'll try. ... Now? Or do I wait for her to leave? ... Oh, you're sending him? ... Okay then. Bye."

 

"Wait did you say Johny 13? I know that dude." The ghost picked up some slang from teh kids they past. "and this ghost with a big 'D' on his chest. My friends joke it meant "dofus'. Can you believe those dorks. Ha, there's another 'D' for ya."

'Stop rambling you fool.'

'Sorry didn't mean, too.'

 

Danny still eyed 'Johny' suspiciously.
"So, what do you think of Danny Phantom?" He asked, placing the finished bowl of soup onto his bedside desk.

 

"Well....uh...he's..ok. I guess." Johny said nervously.

 

"What's the matter with him?" Danny pressed, sitting up straighter. "Got a thing against ghosts?"

 

"I have nothing against ghost. He's..... a guy and I'm not gay." 'Johny said. He was getting annoyed with this guy. 'I can't wait till we win!'

 

Danny's eyes widened. "I never said anything about that."

 

"It seemed like it was inplaied." Johny whispered.
