Danny Phantom <3

Once everything was over Sam walked Daine back to the house. "You should get cleaned up. I'll go look for Danny and let him know everything's safe and your alright."

 

"Thanks," Daine smiled. Once she turned around and started up the stairs to the bathroom, Daine's smile vanished. I swear... if I have to keep up this act any longer, I'm going to go insane. But... it did seem like Sam really cared- Gah! Stop thinking like that! You're on a mission and that's what matters! Worry about the human later!

Danny made sure the Thermos lid was on tightly and then started to head back to his house.

 

Sam started looking around. "Danny! There you are." She hugged him then gently smacked him on he arm. "You had me worried sick, are you alright?"

 

"Ow!" Danny rubbed his arm. "Yeah, I'm fine. Is Daine-" He cut himself off, reminded of what Johny had said.

 

Amber appeared behind Johny. "What do you want motor head?" She said in a sour tone.

Johny chuckled at her insulting words. "Nothing, I just need your help with the Phantom kid."

"What!? Are you crazy? Or did you hit your head going into the thermal thing?"

 

"Is Daine what? She's fine if that's what your asking. She's just getting herself cleaned up."

 

"Cleaned up?" Danny's bright blue eyes were inquisitive. "What happened?"

 

"She just got covered in ghost goo." Sam felt a twinge inside her, but didn't know why.

 

"Oh... That must have been my fault," Danny murmured. "Hey, Sam... did you hear what Johny said about Daine?"

 

"Uhhhh... no." Sam lied. She knew how Danny already had enough things to deal with and didn't need this right now.

 

Danny shoved his hands into his pockets, staring at the ground. "He said that she was another of Vlad's experiments...."

 

"Is that so? I had no idea. Wanna get some tea? Er... that slipped, what I meant to say was, do you wanna go back to your place?" She tried to play it off... but was failing horribly.

 

"Sam," Danny started as the walked back towards the Fenton's house. "This is serious. Dani was supposed to be the last of Vlad's experiments. We even wrecked his machines...."

 

"What if hypothetically, he had Daine hidden until he was ready to use her, which I'm not saying he is." Sam said.

 

"But...," Danny rubbed his head, messing up his hair. "It still doesn't make sense..."

 

"Do you want to confront Daine and ask her?" She asked as she fiddled with her fingers.

 

Danny shook his head. "No. If she is one of Vlad's lackies, then I don't want to fight again right now. I'll wait for her to make the first move."

 

"Oh, okay. But I really am glad your okay now." Sam smiled.

 

"I fine," Danny assured Sam. "Johny is no trouble."

 

Sam nodded in agreement. "We're here." She said as she ran ahead to the house.
