Danny Phantom <3

Daine noticed Sam's gaze and smiled at her with a small wave and a thumbs up before going back to her book.

Mr. Lancer placed Sam's quiz on her desk. "Eyes on your own paper."

Danny bit his lip, knowing he should have actually read the pages instead of skimming them.

 

"So I hear you're keeping tabs on.. Danny Phantom?" she asked, also with a mocked sweetness.

 

"That's true," Vlad answered. "I always am."

 

She chuckled.
"I ran into your kid today, hearing it from her. She asked me if you sent me.... I'm here to offer you a deal. I'll help you get of the Phantom kid... Your exchange. I want freedom, from his stupid thermos...." she said, an echo in her voice.

 

"I wouldn't expect anything less of you," Vlad replied.

 

She raised an eyebrow.
"I don't follow," she said, curious as to what that meant.

 

"That deal," Vlad began. "I cannot promise that I will able to fufil it if things do not go according to plan."

 

"Hmph.. From the way I see it, if you can get him, and he doesn't have his thermos, I can go get it and bury it somewhere," she said..

 

"Do what you will then," Vlad responded. "But understand that I will nto send any help."

 

4o minutes had passed and Sam was finishing her test. She glanced at Daine every now and then to make sure she didn't do anything "funny".

 

"Pencils down," Mr. Lancer annouced.

Danny sighed.

Daine closed her book and looked at Danny, giving him an encouraging smile.

Danny tried to smile back but didn't do a very good job. He could hardly count a quiz to be fifty questions.

Mr. Lancer gathered the quizes. "These will go in your grades at double the points."

 

Ember smiled.
"I won't need any help Vlad..." she chuckled... She turned intangible and flew out, heading for the Fenton home... in search of the thermos.

 

"We'll see," Vlad murmured to the empty room.

 

Sam got out a piece of paper and wrote something on it. She crumbled it up and threw it at Danny.
The note was asking on how does he think he did on the test.

 

Danny looked at the note when Mr. Lancer's back was turned. He scribbled back that he thought he didn't do so well and tossed it back to Sam.

 

Sam read it and wrote back. The note said "Don't think so negative, i'm sure you did well, you always do my ghost fighting hero." Sam tossed it back to Danny when Lancer wasn't looking.

 

Danny read the note several times, wondering why Sam had chosen to end with those last four words. He wrote a quick 'thanks' back.

"Mr. Fenton," Mr. Lancer approached Danny's desk. "See me after class. With the note."

Danny cringed. "Oh great." He muttered when Mr. Lancer went back to the front of the room.

"Just write a new one," Daine whispered. "Quickly."

 

The bell rang. Sam quickly got up and walked over to Danny. "You okay? I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get you in trouble Danny." Sam was worried with thoughts that Danny was mad at her.

 

"It's no big deal," Danny smiled. "I just don't know what he's going to say."

 

"Do you want me to wait for you?" Sam asked as she picked up her belongings and put them in her backpack.
